I have the Drift HD170 Stealth; and admittedly, one of its downsides is its low-light footage.

But this looks excellent. Very clear. :3

@CultureShockSix ...I still have 2 Drift Stealth's and I still love them. I think the old night mode is OK as long as you have lots of surrounding lights. It is a little grainy in real dark places sure but that's to be expected I think.

Like I mentioned in the video I think some people forget that it's not night vision...lol.

There is no "off the shelf camera" that can record in complete blackness....

:P Mind you, a night-vision capable action camera would be pretty awesome. The starlight lens would have to be enormous though. That or a really bright infra-red lamp built in...

Just a quick question about battery life in "outdoor" - how long does it normally hold up whilst filming?

Gopro seems to die pretty soon when in cold. Also my helmet cam Vado HD dies in cold conditions in less than an hour. The new HD atleast really has the proper bodywork and size. Maybe picture not as superb as Contour + but right next to it.

@Snowhite808 ...well so far I've only used it a bit but I got well over an hour outside.

Like I explained in the description you must use "Indoor" mode when filming outside at night. Indoor is for low light conditions even when outside.

@davetechme ...not sure how you mean?? The best part about the Drift is it's mounting options. It has WAY more versatility than the GoPro.

@DarkFlightVlogs I'm not a fan of suction mounts. They don't play well with some types of surfaces and finishes. The GoPro has the flat and curved sticky mounts with the adjustable extension arms to change elevation, which I'd mainly use for mounting to the tail, tank, and front fairing. Until Drift releases similar capacity mounts or someone jerry rigs something similar, I prefer the GoPro mounts.

The camera itself though, I much rather have a viewing lcd and rotatable lens.

That is nice, my next upgrade once I kill my Contour. So far I have modded it to the max, but the B.S. magnetic slider switch doesn't work in the summer heat.
