  • Wheaton!

  • "They brought Denise Crosby back to punish her" - I was laughing my ass off

  • Random question... Why does Marina Sirtis look so much different in the TNG movies then she did in the series? She sounds a little different too. The first time I saw First Contact I wasn't even sure it was the same actress.

  • @whodaman777

Hair basically. It's not as large in the movies.

  • I can't play Mass Effect 1 and hear Benezia's voice and not think Troy, and I cant watch Star Trek and see Troy and not think Benezia... major kudos for those of you who knows what I'm talking about

  • It's "quote, unquote", not "quote on quote".

  • 2 people are star wars fans

  • @societymouse That whole Trek/Wars "rivalry" died out a long time ago.

  • @km9OOO well thank you for that captain obvious

  • Just throw the fans a bone there brent...

  • It would have been B4 though. Data was destroyed in the 'splosion.

  • the "death of data" what an ego-driven wanker. No one wants to see (yet another) shitty TNG movie. not one of them was worth a tug off a dead dog's dick

  • @fuzzynippleman funny comment, but i would watch any tng movie!

  • @cincinatus90 I'd check out Redlettermedia's reviews of the new movies. Honestly I thought that they threw away everything that made startrek Startrek. Data's not Data anymore-he's replaced by a Hollywood clone, as well as our beloved Picard. When did you EVER remember him shouting and killing people? Think The two-parter where Picard got taken by the Borg? THAT"S a TNG movie

  • @fuzzynippleman good point. i think it was called "the best of both worlds", it was amazing.

  • @fuzzynippleman your face is worth a tug off a dead dog's dick.

  • Machines don't die, living beings do. We don't call it 'Data's destruction' but his "Death." They chose to kill Data, because that act was the completion of his quest, to be human.

  • tng crew are not very friendly in person

  • @myfriendangel1 If you had been mostly condemned to signing fancards instead of ever making something as huge as Star Treck again, then you'd be probably too.

  • If there were to be a new STNG movie, it would be easy to change Data's fate from NEMESIS, just before the ship blows up "Q" pops up in the nick of time and rescues Data, " Q" admired Data in the past... As for B-4, he will suffer an identity crisis thinking he is Data , Geordie will change his name to BETA . ( B-4 + Data = BETA )

  • THAT'S WHAT I SAID TO MYSELF WHEN I SAW NEMESIS FOR THE FIRST TIME!

    "DATA IS A FICTIONAL CHARACTER!"

well that doesn't make it any easier.

  • I wish they would make another move "Star Trek, the search for Data"

  • @ShockDoctrin Id pay moneys to see that

  • Hmm...idk if I would be ok with Data taking over B-4...I mean hell yes for him comming back but come on, B-4 barley came to place, and I thought that they were all diffrent and their own person? Would Data be killing his brother if he did that? Or am I just getting too deep into a fictinal character? XD

  • watch?v=kpaUoSXlpyU << Brent Spiner Petition

  • Comment removed

  • after watching the TNG over recently I realized. That Brent Is one of the finest actors Ive ever seen.

  • this is the problem with the new star trek 2009 it didn't feel like star trek and the new cast didn't even watch any of the films and series and are just in it for the money unlike the tng cast who deserve another chance and carry on with there work.

  • Try the transcribed Audio option... LOL

  • I didn't mind that Data was killed off given that it was the last TNG movie. His memories live on in B4, though, which is cool. Why do ya'll think B4 will become Data? We are more than the sum of our memories. He might be "like" Data, but he is not Data, he is B4. In regards to Data's death... why not fly a shuttlecraft over? It would have been more interesting for Data to fly over a shuttle. The Schimitar opens fire, and Data leaps out into space just before the shuttle explodes.

  • @Frost3784

i just want to say that in the comic book Countdown which is a transition between Nemesis and Star Trek XI, it shows that Data's programming overwrites B4s programming and he becomes Data again, and then takes command of the Enterprise E with a new crew.

  • @CeruleanFox I don't like that. Data returns, but at the cost of B4? I'd rather Data remain dead and B4 grow, thanks to Data's memories, to the point where he can contribute to the "Enterprise" crew as a civilian crew member.

  • I was super sad when Data died... That was the worst... But seeing this made it all better :D Thanks for posting.

    <3 Brent Spiner

  • i hated when he died but he had too to save the enterprise

  • "Stop your grieving.....you too, Will" LOL! That was hysterical!!

  • Thank you so much for posting this! My grieving has subsided =)

  • dudes, Data is dead, he's not going to come back through B4 as a shadow of his former self. Deal with it. I have.

Only hope is that Data got stuck somewhere in a pattern buffer. Or Q might have saved him. Or Data did something to save himself. There are many possibilities....

  • My boyfriend is a huge fan of star trek and even though i don't watch star trek myself as much as my boyfriend,i thought it was absolutley stupid in killing off data.

data is a well loved character.Fans do get attached. Why kill off characters that people love and look forward to seeing on screen.

i know data is fictional but fans do get attached. i think killing off data was a stupid and cruel thing to do to the fans.

  • @gottobejokin I really don't get Brent's reply that if there was another StarTrek movie, Data would have come back. I thought the whole reason that Data was killed off was because Brent was too old to play him.

  • @LaSenoritaManzana

Data ages. It's explained in the series. He visually ages so he looks more human.

Brent Spiner was tired of playing the character, that's why they killed him off. Hearing him talk fondly about Data come back like this is surprising.

  • it would be better if they could reasemble data and bring him back in one of the new star treks

  • still Data can't come back...the very events of his life negate that possibility. Just because Data dl everything into B4, does not mean it is Data. And there wouldn't be any memory after the point of dl into B4.

  • Quote unquote

  • to anyone who reads graphic novels, I highly recommend "Star Trek: Countdown". It is a MUST READ for Data fans, that's all I'm going to say

  • Is that the four-parter by J.J. Abrams?

  • Hilarious. We really need one last TNG film.

  • OMG Brent is so funny. I love him.

  • why didn't they do another picture?

  • Insurrection wasn't well-received by critics, but it at least did well enough at the box office. Nemesis didn't have that advantage and just outright tanked. And at the time Enterprise wasn't doing well, following up Voyager's less than distinguished run. I guess Paramount decided they needed something fresh.

  • when was this?

  • LMAO "it doesn't comme to mind that paramount killed everybody and nobody seems to care about that ... Are we coming back? Then we're all dead!!!"

    Spiner is great

    Thanx for posting

  • haha, if they had made another film, we would have seen Data, not B4, but Data.

    That's all i need to hear :p

I love that she phoned him crying Data was going to die. She really loved being in Trek, you can always tell from her interviews almost more than the rest of the cast.

  • hi there. thanks for the reply. i did enjoy the easter specials a lot. il miss tennant a lot but the show has always moved on since 1963, so we will all get used to it. glad your friend got you into who. its a addictive show, iv been a fan since 1987 when the monsters were made of cheap rubber. they were the days. hehe. ;-). nice to see girls into a bit of sci-fi too. makes me feel less of a geek. er.... not that i am. honest.x

  • this is great. why has no one made comments? im more of a doctor who fan, but thers always room for TNG. and red dwarf. brent seems a really nice bloke. and marina is so dam cute.

  • Don't know why no one made comments...thought my friend whom I recorded this for would have but meh. I'm happy that someone did at least! XD I'm also a big Doctor Who fan thanks to that same friend. I used to watch Star Trek when I was a child, but once I lost cable that was it and now I don't really care much for the show...sigh...good times, good times. i just loved the Doctor Who Easter Special, didn't you? Sigh, I will miss David Tennant. =^_^= Thanks for commenting!
