Maybe the court should have upheld the "separate but equal" precedent and just made black facilities better instead of saying, "Uh, yeah they're separate but not equal, so let's just throw that policy out the window and start busing kids to districts" That had unintended consequences like white flight, which is why Detroit is such a shithole.
Fact is that blacks and whites don't want to live together. They shouldn't have to.
