I must say that doing live looping like this is the BRAVEST and most unforgiving form of live performance. Liam is going to ascend somewhere slightly ahead of his time stylistically, and he will be king of his own domain. I cannot offer anyone more respect for making new quality music today than Liam Finn. And did I mention the songwriting skills?!!! what an exciting career this will be to follow!

I assume you are talking about how he got the stuff to keep playing. He has an array of effect pedals, these are used with instruments to give them effects. One of them is a Loop Pedal and it records and loops what he plays when he presses it right. It can also start and stop.
