  • that's insane how conductive helium 2 is. Too bad it takes so much energy to bring it down to that temperature or it could make many types of technology far more efficient.

  • Very interesting stuff. I was reading about supersolids just now because of this video (One thing led to another) and I read that they are spatially ordered, but at the same time, their atoms move and flow freely within.

    those basic ideas of quantum mechanics involved in explaining superfluids behavior cannot be proven wrong. They can only be "consumed" by a more generalized theory, and there were attempts by theories such as "string theory", though those attempts are not successful yet. Quantum physics principles are widely used in microelectronics and apparently they are "still correct".

  • did a paper on this. the video was extremely helpful, and in fact was what got me interested to begin with.
