On my visits to the US it always seems like all hell is breaking loose, always over the top. My first experiences in the US i found myself checking the news as i thought something terrible had happened but, nothing. Don't mean to take away from the good work of the services but i can't help thinking of the story of the boy who cried Wolf.

@jksolutions1 Not quite. If in the opinion of the EMS personnel on the scene an escort, or road closing is needed, NYPD will do it NO QUESTIONS ASKED. It all depends on the severity of the situation. As an FDNYEMS Supervisory Officer I've asked PD countless times over 26 years. Never was I refused if I needed it. So stop the "every normal person wouldn't get this" nonsense.
