Ellie's Babies - Supplemental Feeding - Day 10

im caring for some rat pups now because their mother passed away by surprise. I found 5 , and there hanging on for now, 2 of them are slightly underweight - because i didnt know that mom was dead until dinner time, but i have them on kitten formula, also i heard that their weight should pick up soon being on the formula. I also stimulate their bowels as well. They also get a nice bath every two days too. Im hoping for the best.

@txturtlelytiger I would stay away from KMR, and use "Just Born" kitten milk replacer. It's sold at Walmart. I mixed mine with a small amount of natural sugar and some powdered baby formula (without iron) for the vitamins & minerals. That's what I'm feeding above. Best of luck to you - Crossed fingers. :)

@Iloverats73m Yep! All of them are grown, fat, and happy now - Didn't lose a one. :) Ellie passed away a short time ago, but she hung on like a champ and ruled the cage she was in, and all the ratties she was with, even if she did walk sideways and upside down. :)
