Comparing "videos", if I had filmed in a descent, if my car was a 2 seater, or same engine but a Seat (Leon or Ibiza) it would weigh less 150kgs so there are too many variables. This is a full extras Golf Tdi 150 (hence heavy), everyday car not a sprint one and YES it HAD 270hp and 500Nm in this video.
@hardcoretam We all know that the more extreme is the engine tuning, more prone it is to fail... Yet, this engine has given proof of an astonishing resistance and is used in drag racing all over Europe and including USA (they actually import these engines from Europe).
In my car, I take all the precautions to contribute to its reliability, choosing the best oil, monitoring oil temperature and EGTs. It drives like an ordinary TDi in the first 1/4 gas pedal and a progressive powerplant then.
@hardcoretam Fuel is also (of course...) depending on driving conditions. 5,5 liters each 100kms ordinary day by day, 8/9 liters each 100kms if pushing consistently above 180-200kmh. A true bipolar car but with smooth personality change :)
I think you're probably right about the bhp figure... my 540i with 286bhp uses to take 14-15 seconds to do 100-200kmh... yours does it in 14. What exactly have you done to achieve this power and what type of consumption do you get? It looks like a good job!
@IDaedalus In normal driving about the same as it did without the modifications. Of course when you push, it doubles the figures but you almost double the power too. This is a relatively usual mod here in these engines (mostly done in Ibiza's and Leon's as they are 100+kgs lighter therefore quicker): Garrett GTB2260VK BMW 530d F01 turbocharger, injectors, camshaft, enhanced intercooling piping, increased diameter downpipe and exhaust. It is running 18'' wheels on 225/40 tyres not helping speed

@R416 Well, the MAHA LPS3000 says it did at the time, and consistent with other cars here with similar preparation. Inside the car I assure it seems way faster. Anyway, check the acceleration times for TDI 150 here in youtube with tuned TDI 150. Didn't find yet a similar chrono...

@runaway0401 It is one of the best diesel blocks built. They can handle close to 400bhp without changing piston/rods. Amazing economy even prepared like this one and very, very reliable.
@ktosi11 210.000kms and going... still my daily use car :)) The best VW 507.00 oil, 10.000km changes, 2.0bar on a GTB2260VK BMW 730d last generation turbo, stock IC, stock intake manifold, pistons, custom intake, custom 70mm downpipe and exhaust, different camshaft (max. power @5000rpm but flat since 4000) and so it goes...

Are u sure it has 280hp? I've riding tdi 150 with less hp and they seemed way faster...your sonds like a tdi 150 with tuned ecu file only.
