Very nice sound and playing! What is the diference in terms of sound with the ar880 John Pisano? What about playing with band, do they tend to feed-back?
@pepeolmedojazz Thanks! The mahogany back and sides on this one produce a woodier tone with more of a midrange focus. You also hear more of the fundamental pitch than you would with maple back and sides, where the overtones are typically more present. All John Pisano signature models feature a 2 3/4" body depth and 16" lower bout which helps reduce feedback, as well as the set-in humbucking pickup. Please feel free to call or email me at jared(at)soundpure(dot)com if you have any more questions!
should i sell my D'angelico New Yorker for this? They sell for for around 4k but i got it used and im loving the sound of this eastman guitar. Any thoughts?
@MrJazzman909 It's all personal preference. Do you not link your guitar anymore?? We love the Eastman line and believe in them as professional quality guitars. We all own their acoustics and love them! Contact us any time to talk more about our guitars. Thanks!
I've had D'angelico's NYL2 and Excel. The Eastman I have beats them both in terms of quality and sound. The D'angelicos are fake copies that are not backed up for quality issues very well at all.
@Aiden057 Interestingly, being it is an Eastman, it is also one of the most affordable! They are really creating some remarkable values over there at Eastman right now. Thanks for posting and enjoying- lots more to come.
@lkjlkjlkjlkjlkjlkj6 Lots of factors- playing, amp setting, mic positioning... certainly could have been easily attenuated, but we rather liked that big low end out of it quite honestly. We felt it had a huge, exciting sound to it.
Wow amazing playing as always! :) I was really impressed with the acoustic quality mixed into the electric sound. The mahogany back and sides are just stunning. A tone wood if there ever was one. 5/5 and 2 thumbs up!
@SaurianSoul Thanks a lot for posting... this is a truly musical sounding setup and phenomenol instrument. We were as pleased as you were about the tonal qualities that the instrument, amp, and mics
What strings do you think are being played in the video? They compliment the guitar beautifully.
