  • facial expression on 0:16 made me lol hard

  • only 5 and half reps

  • i didnt know goldmember lifted weights...

  • hey guys, to be fair, it works more of the chest instead of the tri's lifting it that way

  • all you keyboard warriors are fuckin pathetic, any man who can move 200 lbs off his chest with one arm, especially multiple times, is in at least the top 1% for strength in the world.

  • Steel your a fucking idiot. Try googling Jesse and when your done reading the list of world titles he has you can add that he is the all time squat record holder for 220 without wraps.

  • Everyone thats talking shit in this guy should actually try lifting in that manner. It is actually more difficult. The muscles are under constant load. He gets absolutely no rest between reps.

  • lock it out pussy.........your only cheating ureself noob

  • were you laying on a ball when you did that ??? Damn

  • There 200lbs bro and kinda have a mind of the own. They pretty much go where they want at times. Jesse weighing 210 I'm 230 ish dont have the mass of a bigger lifter to just man handle the weight like you want. Hope this answers your question.

    Eric "Big Ezy" Downey

  • Not a hater, not criticizing, i actually have a genuine question for fellow lifters here, i no that with those dumbbells becuase of the sheer size of them that a full lock out would be pretty difficult, but what if as you lifted the dumbbells up you twisted them 90 degrees so that they face length-ways? the chest would still get worked and there would be a full ROM. Looking for a genuine answer and not some keyboard warrior thinking he's the man. Thanks.

  • lol, roid!!

  • Very good job. I can only do 5 reps with 110 lbs on a strong day, but I am 45 and only weigh 175 lbs at 6 feet tall. There are other people my age/height/weight who can life more than I, but I am content. There is always going to be someone bigger, faster, stronger etc. In your case I don't think there are many people that are stronger than you when it comes to the dumbbell bench press. Very good job. You made it look light too, so your max must be about 220 lb dumbells.

  • Do people not know anatomy? Bunch of high school kids come on here and think full range of motion is supposed to count towards every lift... heads up, by doing full range of motion on bench, not only are you not isolating your chest, but you're engaging your triceps and ontop of your lats... By doing these, your chest is fully engaged and you get better results where as going all the way up would engage your triceps. Arrogant comments everywhere... i just see fake trainers.

  • @noobhealz402 well said.

  • Is there ANY workout video on youtube that doesn't have morons saying "THATS BAD FORM!"?

  • WHAT THE FUCK? HIS FORM WAS FINE LMAO just beacuse he didnt lock out doesnt mean its "wrong", it keeps tensino on the chest, saves the tricep and elbows. you fucking dumbfucks educate your self before fucking commenting retarded comments. he did lock out at the last one. this guy is incredibly strong. im guessing there are only about 5-10 guys in the world that can dumbbell press 200lbs.

  • @SmexyPC Thumbs up, man. Makes me happy to read comments like this.

Also, to all the haters: TRY EVEN LIFTING A 200 LB DUMBBELL!

He's strong. What he's doing is working. He's not injured, since he can do this.

WHATEVER HE'S DOING - IT WORKS.

And nothing else matters really, so shut the FUCK UP!

  • limp dicks and no testicles!

  • if u need spotters for dumbbells u are doing too much

  • @kvnd7331 Of course not. When you get really strong, like this guy, it's almost impossible to get the dumbbells in the right position without risking injury. Somebody are able to do it, like Coleman, Warren etc., but not everyone knows how to do it safely. Look at the size of this dude, and then look at the size of the dumbbells. I mean... Seriously?

  • Impressive! Ronnie coleman's 200lb db press is on another level though. respect to this guy nonetheless!

  • those don't look like 200lbs dumbells at all

  • @BangSquadPrez Have you even seen a 200 lbs dumbbell? I highly, highly doubt it. Most gyms go to the 120 lbs range. The 150 lbs - 200 lbs are all specially ordered by Jesse himself.

Before you ask why he's not locking out all the way: Go win 12 WPO championships and then come back and we'll discuss this.

  • @GranGure Your right the most i have seen is 150's which i rep for 15 on my last set. the gym wont order any more heavy ass dumbbells so why don' you let me work in and get my lift on. he's not locking out because you can keep that constant tension onr your muscle without giving them a break.

  • wowow

he looks 90 years old but he is strong

    form sucks but still

  • This guy is the master of crap lifts.

Every vid I have seen of him sucks, either bad form or a complete miss

  • alot of steroids

  • Jesse is awesome and very inspiring,...I am 45 and watch his videos for motivation. I have broken personal records that I set when I was 28. Good stuff Jesse

  • Yuck....................

  • I lift at the same. Weights are 12lbs each, not 10.

  • COLEMAN FOR THE WIN YEAH BUDDY!!!!!

  • What weight class is he in?

  • You sound butthurt when replying to comments about his form, when you don't even mention his form in your replies.

His form sucks, yeah cool you got 200's, don't put it on YouTube for the world to see how badly you can press them

  • @nathawg : whats wrong with his form? elbows are tucked and the weighs hitting his chest and he's stopping right before lock out. that looks like pretty good form to me.

  • @nathawg absolutly no reason why he should lock out with 200lbs.

  • coleman wins

  • funny how everi video i go teres always people critizing about form and..but more than 3/4 oh these poeple cant even lift those withg with the ugliest form possible or dont even workout

  • Ill give him that its a lot of weight, but none of those were fully extended, I am sure he would destroy something a little light, more suited for his body like 175#

  • @SwooshForce : and tell me, why do reps have to be fully extended? The only reason to fully extend a rep is for contraction purposes and it doesnt really look like he's training for bodybuilding does it? The full range rep is only a form just like half reps and x reps. his range is good however for keeping the muscle tight through out the entire set. plus its not good to lock out weight. most people use this range of motion.

  • Coleman 200lb 11 reps bodybuilder and jesse powerlifter 5 reps......

  • @Ansis245 : did you just compare a 300+ lber like coleman to this guy??? Of course Coleman would do a few more reps not to mention colemans routines are based around 10-12 rep range and a powerlifters are usually under 5.

  • If he was benching 180s or 190s everything would have been fine. But since he's benching 200s, everyone has to compared him to Ronnie Coleman!

  • The majority of the critics here criticize according to their inability to lift a large amount of weight. They probably hit biceps every other day for an hour then call it a day.

However, I never perform full range of motion half the time. Warm up sets I use form. Locking out a large amount of weight in repetition during bench press will make you susceptible to shoulder injuries.

  • let people lift how they want to, as long as they get bigger who cares, if there lifting to get in competion then its different but if lifting for size then stay off there back.

  • Everybody's a critic...Let him lift the way he wants to lift and you stick to your routine.

  • I don't care if it looked like he didn't go full range of motion, 200 pound dumbbell presses for reps is very good!

  • Don't necessarily want to criticize your form, or how much you're lifting, but I think its best to work through the full range. You probably won't lift as much, but unless you're capable of being #1, there's no reason to do the bare minimum.

Practicing for competitive lifting has become more of the bare minimum. No point in doing the bare minimum during a workout, it would make sense during a competition though.

  • @bluejay52431 dear mr bluejay. jesse doesnt not own this site. i am one of his training partners. concerning his form and or work ethic. why dont you google the name jesse kellum before criticizing a 10 time world champ and at one time all time record holder in the squat bench and total in multiple weight classes. we had just got the 2's that week when he benched them.

  • @VMDINC69 ronnie coleman puts him to shame. and he gave up powerlifting decades ago.

  • @bench595

You do know that Ronnie Coleman weighs 330lbs, right?

So it is a no-brainer that he would lift more than Jesse.

I can't believe you would even compare them two together.. lmao. SOMEBODY here doesn't lift weights... *COUGH COUGH*

  • @GranGure and your point is? just stating a fact. and that somebody that doesnt lift weights is most likely your tiny ass......phhffftttt!!!!

  • @zrx7769 Dude please stop trolling every video of Jesse on YT. I assure you that "my tiny ass" can fucking blow you away pound for pound in any meet, under any circumstances.

Stick to gym lifts buddy. That's all you got going for you.

  • @GranGure yeah you could blow me away pound for pound if you weigh 35 pounds. bahahaha whats the matter little skinny weakling, jealous?

  • @GranGure and I just saw your video of you squatting 465! bahahahaha and you say I am the one that doesnt lift weights.....hahahahahahahahahahahaha I fucking bench that raw stick boy

  • @VMDINC69 A retard can become a power lifter. It doesn't take a lot going up upstairs to lift weights. To say his form is the top of the line is wrong, and I don't give a care as to how much he can put up. Bluejay was talking form, he never asked what the guys records WERE.

  • @VMDINC69

No kidding, man, Jesse used to date my next door neighbor back in the 1980's, he's a friggin beast....legend!

  • @VMDINC69 welcome to youtube mate

  • @VMDINC69 I kind of laughed at the comment above about"unless your capable of being # 1".I remember Jesse being #1 forever and no one even coming close. In bench,in squat,in total. 181's,198's,220's Legend is the word that comes to mind.

  • @VMDINC69 Epic lol. Good intent from OP, but you gotta love e-lifters.

  • @bluejay52431

Haha, you got OWNED!!! I love these douche bags who just passed their personal trainer test, tell real lifters how to lift properly...they love to talk about form and you know they are weak little bitches yappin on you tube- you think bluejay would walk up to a lifter in his gym and starting talking about form, etc.. What a queef...

  • @bluejay52431 Jesse is working through the toughest part of the range of motion, kudos to him.

  • @bluejay52431 Jesse is working through the toughest part of the range of motion (where the lever arm is the longest from the fulcrum), kudos to him!

  • @bluejay52431 hes not locking out at the top only moving through the portion of the movement that hits the chest locking out puts rest on the chest aswell as puts more pressure on the tris

  • I dont like to bum over coleman cos there are hundreds of great lifters out there who can do massive weights. But when he does 200 pound dumbells, there's no drama at all, just bang, 10 reps

  • @desolationofsmaug

What benefit would it be to your muscles to lift them out yourself?

  • they aint 200... but still i geuss its not bad for an old man.. im not even close to those

  • LOL! nub form

  • The weights impressive but is that proper form...

  • 165lbs. Still solid weight and strength.

  • what benifit would that shit have, stop showing off,use less weight n do the exercise correctly ya dumb fuck

  • @HENRYHOBBS1 he's not trying to lock out, shorter reps but going all the way down keeps all the pressure on the pecs. He doesnt want a compound free weight exercise involving triceps and pecs, he just wants the pecs.

  • Comment removed

  • @HENRYHOBBS1 dumbass...it's isolation type exercise to do that range of motion and type of motion... isolates the chest area without placing too much pressure on the arms..that way you get a better pump on ur chest...and yes necessarily you need more weight than normal chest press exercise to get it done...

  • wow nice form.... AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • I would be impressed but for bullshitting about the weight, this fat baldy loses all respect.

  • why put 200 pound up then if ya gonna tell crap no matter what ya lifting every 1 will not be interested wot u lift

  • I counted the plates and its only 160lb NOT 200.. Nice try

  • what in the hel kind of lifting was that shit lol.....

  • Each side has 7x10lbs, 1x7.5lbs, and call it 10 lbs for the bar & ends, gives you 165lbs. Impressive, but not 200lbs.

  • I think they're 140-150 i saw 200 - ronnie's using them and they're enorumous, thouse are huge aswell but not as big

  • 165's

  • those are only 185's but regardless very imperessive... would like to see how guy on the left puts down the weight hes hugging

  • why doesnt he completely extend

  • because locking out with heavy weight will just tear up your elbows, trust me it can happen to you at an early age aswell, so if your locking out on your presses.....STOP!

  • yall are a bunch of idiots. The form is perfect!! The weights are angled because his elbows are angled slightly in towards his body just like they are supposed to be to keep constant tension on the pecks. A couple of you are right though, those don't look like 200's, but that's still pretty awesome man.

  • well said

  • I agree, they dont look like 200's. especially the way the two guys at the end take it off of him. that guy on the left doesn't look like he could even lift 100 non the less 200, and the guy on the right grabs it practically with one hand

  • why are the dumbells diagonal?

  • More concentration on the pecs, less on shoulders.

  • shut up

  • shit, you have to be strong as hell just to spot that damn guy lol.

  • Look i've been training with jesse for about 4 years and i work at the gym he is lifting at in the video...so im telling yall as an employee who has to pick the mofos up every other day...they are 200 lbs each.

    There it is settled

  • There 155lb dumbells and his form is shit...hence the reason he has no chest.

  • so many haters...the guy has 200lbs in each hand, he's a beast

  • Good lift regardless... let them hate.... each one is more than most people weigh.

  • They look like 155

  • those arent 200 lb dumbells dumbass

  • 200lbs = 90,6 kilo so that pretty good do!

  • did not come all the way up

  • with that much weight you don't want to lock out u will destroy your elbows and plus u keep constant tension on the chest

  • ok thats well, ok

  • dude that's like 70kilos

  • 155 NOT 200?

  • LOl jesse u don;t have to take a pic and send it to these idiots...chances are they cant even press 50 pound dumbells

  • i am saying the same thing,,that isn't 200 pound dumbbells,,at the most its 165's

  • THERE WEIGHT ARE 12 LB PLATES NOT 10.

  • That would explain it then.

  • I'm only counting 8 plates on each side of the DB....that would be 16 plates per DB at 10lbs a plate = 160lbs...

  • not bad reps but your back looks like its doing most of the work

  • impressive.

  • ill take a pic of them for you just send me you address

  • Translation: so i can burn your house down and piss on the ashes

  • i hate moving those things. i was bet five bucks i couldnt even pick it off the ground. i barely did it and it was HARD
