  • windows phone should bring back the flick up to close thing

  • Shoud i get the lumia 800 or the htc titan .. ? the only con of the titan is the ginormous screen.

  • Is this better than the vivid

  • Amoled and better dpi on lumia.. !!

  • Noah looks like the Canadian guy from southpark, can I finish madam, madam can I finish

  • @jon4lakers should i get this or the captivate glide or htc sensation or the samsung infuse

    or mytouch 4g slide

  • Can someone tell me which one to get; The Nokia Lumia 900 or The HTC Titan II.

  • @Exzesion HTC Titan II.

  • @Exzesion Nokia Lumia 900 . 'Cause HTC Titan II is basically the same as the first one , with different camera and back . That's it . Lumia 900 is just something else. But wait for the Apollo update .

  • i think WP is the next big thing people are bored with ios and android that have the same look and feel in to it.i hope windows will make more improvement to this and i can assure you windows can kick ios and android butts

  • Switched from iOS to WP7, mainly due to the excellent developer tools for the WP7 platform. The UI is amazing! MS really did a great job on this.

  • iOS < WP7 <Android.

  • Damn its this is or the Galaxy note I have an iPhone 4 and my update is in November and Idk if i want an iPhone 5 i want something new so what should I do? /:

  • My gs2 is shitting the bed so I'm thinking this or iphone..? Hows the battery on this phone?

  • @PlumGaming He told it in the review. He said it lasted two days on one charge! which is pretty awesome.

  • @moobs3234 kind of. the equivalent would be "unlocking" it. there's probably a video of it somewhere.

  • So your reasoning for the low resolution not being an issue is that it has large fonts? I don't get it. What if you're viewing images or video? The quality won't be as good. Simple as that. There is no way that the low resolution can be thought of as an advantage...

  • is there an equivalent to jailbreaking or rooting on wp7

  • @moobs3234 Doesn't need it.

  • wheres tizen already?

  • iphone 4s, htc titan, or gs2 skyrocket?

  • @moobs3234 What do you think? derp.

  • I have the Galaxy S2 now but I'm thinking of getting a Windows Phone but I'm not sure which one to get because they all seem really good. Too many choices. . .

  • Niceee

  • if people like the phone but not the os get its brother the htc sensation xl. same phone with android and its white

  • weird jon has this phone and noah reviewing

  • nice box

  • WP7 is like iOS, android is still the king, at first the ios was good but its so limited, like WP7, at first its gonna be great

  • So how do you dismiss apps from the multitasking screen?

  • I have this phone and I love it. Switched from Android to Windows Phone and it is awesome! Windows Phone rocks! I still love Android so I bought a Galaxy Player to make up for it. BTW....iphone and apple suck!!!

  • @MayorMcCheese78 Android devices allow live wallpapers. do the windows phones allow that? just wondering. im looking to try windows again..im currently on android

  • @TheSpiritOfTheWest No live wallpapers but they have live tiles which is really cool. If you get a windows phone, go with the nokia lumia 900 or the htc titan 2...yes, a titan 2 is coming out with lte and a 16 megapixel camera.

  • anyone knows if this phone connects to wifi 802.11 n router i heard it did not

  • @komighty1 your wrong in my opinion. Jon has always Spoke highly of WP7 all of 2011.

  • @komighty1 , so? What's your point ? Apple sucks anyway

  • I love my iphone 4 and waiting for my upgrade 12/25 of next year. I hope there are even better phones when my upgrafe is due

  • iPhone 5 should be out by then :D

  • love Noah's reviews...

  • Happy to see you doing reviews again, Noah.

  • @stolic2012 hahaha you wish ;)

  • re: 11:00

The App List changes once you get like 45 applications, then the alphabetical list activiates, which has the same interface as the People Hub.

Grab more freebie apps from the marketplace, until you see it.

  • Your comment is correct that they could do better with the app list, but in case you werent aware, if you add enough apps, mango will add the quick search by letter buttons.

  • the os is silky smooth

  • WTF? Wp7 DOESN'T WORK BETTER THAN ANDROID THAN ANYTHING!!! And I have the Epic 4G Touch (GSII) 4.5" and my phone destroys this shit

  • @stolic2012 WOW, yOU dISGUST mE

  • @stolic2012 it depends for different people. windows phone and ios are for people who dont want an overcomplicated phone. wp7 has microsoft office built in meaning its actually great for work you can make power points and office documents straight from the phone. yes android has better specs but it still lags unlike wp7.

  • lol wp7 is a joke smh ANDROID ALL DAY!!!

  • @stolic2012 Android won't last all day ;) [Don't worry, I'm a proud Nexus S user]

  • Switched from iPhone 4 to a $100 second hand Samsung Focus that was practically in excellent condition and isn't looking back at iOS and its boring GUI. WP's live tiles are so cool to look at. I have owned Symbian, BlackBerry, iOS, webOS, Android, and think WP is the most intuitive OS of them all. Yes, even surpassing my old fav like webOS. Slick.

What it needs is more customization and better apps.

  • @sweetepnoy Do older WP7 run new games well enough. Any lag with Mango?

  • @96515325 Mango has less lag.

  • quality review from noah...check

    classic noah battery cover fail...check!

  • Nice review, this is a beast

  • I really like this phone and was going to try it, but they don't have the apps I want.no Sirius xm no ESPN radio..I must have those apps!

  • @son0fsocal Sat Rad Radio supports sirius/xm. I use it all the time. Not sure if there is ESPN radio yet, but there is Sirius XM. Just not an official one.

  • @son0fsocal they have most of the mainstream apps am sure it wont be long before they get the rest

  • Im thinkin titan or sgs2 please help?!!

  • @k1n9j28 they're both good phones. It depends if you want android or wp7. Android is big now (market etc), WP7 is getting bigger every second :P

  • @k1n9j28 If you want customization with more apps go for the Galaxy, if you want smooth easy to use interface go for the Titan! Both great devices, hope that helped :-)

  • I really dont care all that much about resolution^^ Dont know what the big deal is. I have a 4.3" device with 800x480. Thats completely fine. No pixelation noticable in daily use.

  • @clouds5 its no big deal until you start to use one with super high resolution than it will be the biggest deal

  • @nyfries not sure how i understand you correctly :) I've seen many iphone 4/4s and they have one of the highest resolution screens. But i dont really see that much of a difference when I hold it besides my DesireHD. I guess its nice to have but that will never be a big selling point for me. I'd rather get the lower resolution but more useful features.

  • You know what I think is so awesome? How Noah and Jon used to be "Apple or nothing" guys and now they're BOTH using a Windows Phone as their daily drivers. Love it.

  • Well there is already a Hub dedicated to games/Xbox LIVE, but I feel you. I'd like to be able to create custom Hubs on my Focus S.

  • This is my first time watching a review by Noah since he left PhoneDog, I missed him. Glad we've reunited.

  • shit a 3 minute ad FML

  • Android and iOS of course have better apps but u barely gonna need so many Inever downloaded that many when i had my iPhone

  • @PatchowPietro Yah, I think Microsoft is going to be moving up in the smartphone world in the next couple of years.

  • Please chec out my channel I need views

  • I will always be an iPhone lover. <3

  • don't you think Noah it depends on your eyes ? some people need 300+ DPI or they see a bunch of pixels rather than a picture.

  • @g1981c

I can't really imagine how that would be the case. Is it for people with really good vision or really bad vision? High res screens make stuff look smaller, and on small screens like phones that can be a big deal.

  • @andStack depends. iphone 4 had double the resolution of iphone 3gs but nothing got smaller ...

  • @son0fsocal you were lied to. It doesn't have the number of apps like android and iOS but it has all the apps that matter.

  • I was about to try this phone to see how windows phone is but the sales Guy told me that they had no apps

  • @son0fsocal That's really untrue. You can check out the marketplace yourself, but they have a lot of the high quality important apps. They also have gotten to 40,000 apps faster than iOS or Android did so it's growing very quicky and has a lot of app developer interest. Windows Phone has shortcomings but if you're interested, check it out and see if the app marketplace is good enough for you. I'd be willing to bet it has the apps you need and if not, they'll be there soon!

  • I'm really liking the Windows 7 (Mango) it's got a really clean but still cool design. I don't think I will switch to a Windows phone because I love my iPhone but kudos to Microsoft.

  • I used to have an iphone until I took an arrow to the knee.

  • I'm on my 2nd day with mine replacing my iP4S and so far I am really liking it.

  • is it just me or, do the tiles on windows phone 7 look like they were made in Ms paint?

  • @Therealjimjam I have one. Looking at it up close, it looks like they're vector graphics.

  • Photos will look shit

  • Thumbs up for the video, not for Windows Phone 7.

  • @kaffeeschluerfer91 thumbs up if this guy suck!

  • You don't need folders. Games are under xbox tile (folder), music apps are under zune and so forth

  • More cores makes better batterylife ...

  • @simonbobsen That's if parallel programming is integrated well enough into the system that it makes the processing power very efficient. The problem with dual cores right now is that the OSes do not fully support the dual core processing.

Multicores are like double-edge swords when it comes to battery life. If used properly, the battery life would increase, but otherwise, it would drain your battery. Full integration of an OS into multicores is very difficult, and batteries now are drained.

  • i like Windows Phone 7, i own the 7 Pro after all, but i dont like this phone, and ill tell you why. i played with it at the store, and the screen resolution is a deal breaker for me. theres also a lot of ghosting within transitions and text is overly pixelated.

  • I've been with HTC since Tytn II (Tilt), the device was quite fascinating and surprisingly solid. It was one of the most developed devices in xda until HD2 surpassed it. I currently own and HD2 and to me, it's my favorite. This phone is capable running many mobile OS and the build quality is amazing. Kudos to HTC for making such an amazing device. It helped redefine how high end smartphones should be made. My only complaint against HTC is that they tend to include smaller batteries with phones.

  • omg, im having a crisis, i cant decide weather i want the Titan or the Vivid, some one please help

  • Nice review

  • If I could have a phone for every OS it would go like this.

    Android - Galaxy Nexus

    WP7 - HTC Titan

    iOS - iPhone 4s (Obviously)

Blackberry OS - Blackberry Bold 9900

    In that order.

  • @davey1694 Same, but replace Titan with Lumia 800 :D

  • @fifaculture I will never get another Nokia again, not after that damn N97 Mini.

  • I"m very interested in WP7, it very beautiful and functional. I would like to see a Windows phone device on Verizon with a larger screen by Samsung, HTC or Nokia. Maybe Motorola if they decide to make windows phones. But until then I'll stick with android and pick a Gnexus.

  • I switched form iphone 4 to HTC Titan and loving it. They still hae a long way to go but a very solid OS and this video just about sums up the rest.

P.S. XBox Companion app is awesome as a remote control for XBOX

  • @ryanfrommemphis and the only way to advanced is to have open source with out tryn to pin a license fee, to use their tools.

  • @ryanfrommemphis does the titan have micro sim card like the iphone 4?

  • 00:46 have ALL the memes as contacts!!

  • if i were to get this phone unlocked, would it pick up tmobile 3g, or would i be stuck with edge like the iPhone

  • @Williamdta It would be on 4G. But tmobile has a 4G windows phone already so you should just tmobiles windows phone.

  • i love my windows phone ( htc surround)

  • iPhone user switching to WP7.

  • U get like 4 emails during the video :P

  • NOAH, I've got important question - are there some problems, clickings, hissings during mp3 player work?

  • Microsoft never going to work on a new Zune MP3 player will they? :T Seems like it was just a Guinea pig for the Windows Phone.

  • Noah, if you dig around there's a Windows Phone app that allows you to create tile folders and add more customisation. Though I think you need to side-load it.

  • I made a speed art on the HTC TITAN, Check it out on my channel :)

  • Amoled displays are required for windows phone. The display is cheap. Amoled allows the dark backgrounds to be completely dark, the backlight makes wp7 hideous,

  • @WeEatBrainz I disagree. I've tried both the Samsung Focus S and the HTC Radar 4G, and I tend to like the Radar's Super LCD vs the Focus S' Super Amoled Plus. Super LCD seem to make the Live Tiles incredibly vibrant, especially if you choose a bright color as your theme. HTC Green and WP Blue looks great on a Super LCD, but I do have to say that WP Red looks remarkable on a Super Amoled Plus display.

  • 6:05 MOTHER OF GOD WHAT WAS THAT

  • @MaestroBLC What was what? There is nothing strange about that clip

  • It's great to see so many tech sites expressing the way they love WP7, but unfortunate that consumers are afraid to try it out. I'm convinced that once people actually have a WP7 in their hands for a few days to experience it, there's no way of going back to iOS or Android. I've tried them all and WP7 is what I'm sticking with.

  • windows phone sucks

  • Comment removed

  • @bigblue0416 no it doesn't.

  • Windows phone sucks! It's ugly and cluttered.

  • @dmcarefuldriver It doesn't look too cluttered to me.

  • What is the best windows phone 7 phone on sprint in you opinion?

  • @kak672 There's only one...

  • @kak672 There are none wait a little while.

  • i once had a windows phone... not making THAT mistake again.

  • @AkProWar What was wrong with it?

  • IF I WASNT THE BEST CLAN ON THE INTERNET SITES I WOULD LIKE THIS GAY PHONE

  • Do you really love a phone which hasn't front facing camera?

We're almost in 2012 you will need that

  • @jojojorge94 not really, i don't know anyone who really uses their phone for video calling often enough for it to matter.

  • I have a Nissan Titan so I feel like I need this phone to keep with the theme.

  • My Top 10 WP7 Apps: -Custom Tile Maker -MetroTube -The Weather Channel -NetFlix -Flixster -Seesmic -Kindle -Pictures Lab -Mixtapes -Espn Score center WP7 apps makes Android apps and iOS apps look like something from 20 years ago.
  • Eww it Noah

  • I kind of really want a WP7 phone. I have had android phones and iPhones. I wanna try something new

  • @itmovesusall same but i am kind of afraid to move to wp in the past they have been bad

  • same

  • Nice UI and design…but…just not feeling it.

  • @ArtisticPropaganda U should hold it in ur hand to fell it, WP7 are gr8 phones trust me :)

  • @TiborKusa For sure! It's a large step for Windows, design wise. I also appreciate the fact that you need to meet certain spec requirements in order for phone companies to have the windows OS. Yet, I cannot get past the tiles.

  • My favorite thing about windows phone is that it's like a zune.

    But I also like iPhone.

And iPhone has more apps (far as I know)

  • I literally had my iPhone for sale and was ready to get a focus flash or focus s until you just told me that wp7 does not support sending video messages and I just googled it and apparently no audio either. Deal breaker for me :( come on Microsoft!!!

  • I want that phone so much!

  • i was about to get this phone but after trying it out found it was way to big for my preference, if only HTC had a 4 - 4.3 inch version of it. got a lumia 800 instead which is amazing but the smaller screen is still a bit of a bummer

  • Samsung goes for plastic whilst HTC goes for aluminum

  • Hey Noah Kravitz, I just bought this phone, Lenny tell you about it.

  • This or the Lumia 800?

  • @RaedVS I think it depends what screen size you want. Both phones are great :)

  • @RaedVS lumia 800 imo

  • Watched the first second and facepalmed

  • If this had come out before android, android would not have been the big OS that it is today, android is just so clunkly compared to iOS and WP7. Great phone :)

  • WP7 FTW - Definitely gonna try this on my new contract next year (or whatever WP7 phone is out then!)

  • Yes Windows, this OS is great on a phone but please keep it of a computer operating system!

  • Tiles is not a very smart idea. It is new and fresh, but wasting way to much space. I like all my shortcuts to be one tap away.

  • I got a Samsung Focus S and I love it!

  • I'd never get windows OS... too big buttons.. I don't want zune or xbox integration.. I hate both

  • Windows Phone OS SUX !

  • @Ashish148yt have you ever used it? no.

  • how much is the unlocked version of this phone?????????

  • My girlfriend is just like Windows..............shes 7.

  • iPhone al the way? It's just so solid and dependable

  • WP7 screams modern. It is functional, sleek, and smooth. Microsoft putting Apple design to shame? The day has come.

  • @fifaculture Haha I agree completely my dude

  • Could you make a review of the new HTC Radar?, I'm thinking of buying it :p

  • @pgomespwr95 Search out MobileTechReview's video of it on YouTube, really thorough review and well worth a watch.

  • @jameslove888 Thank's a lot, I'll watch it ;)

  • Noah since the HTC Titan is your favorite phone. Then you should do a giveaway(Iphone) who agrees

  • i think win8 will be best :p

  • But awesome videos, you make me want to go buy this thing haha

  • I have a windows phone.... i honestly hate it! slow, not many apps, and the settings are terrible

  • @josephmegahee Slow?!

  • wwoooww i'm really the 302 viewer!

  • iOS = Windows Phone 7 > Android

  • @paulhojda phahahah

    android >wp7 > ios
