The movie was definitley ridiculous, and the story was bad. I think it had alot of potential and they wasted it. The girl was pointless and the movie wasnt all that entertaining. But it was still pretty badass and had a lot of cool action, the idea was really awesome, they just couldnt put it into a good plotline

Ninja Assassin was AWESOME! If you are the type of person who is drawn to a movie titled "Ninja Assassin", you will freaking LOVE this movie. It has a very sexy Rain in it, too!! Which makes it automatically 10 trillion times better than Kill Bill! XD The story was okay, too (what don't kill me! yes, srsly). I mean Rain's backstory was interesting and the whole redemption thing - so sue me, it's not original but it works! And the fighting was A+++ OMG the blood~

Where do I start. I am not a hug fan of movies that include alot of martial arts. However, when I saw this movie and this man (Rain), boy was I hooked, on him. The Watchowski brothers did a good job, except for no allowing subtitles during the Ninja training, which to me would have been more realistic. Either way this movie has given Rain nearly world wide exposure, which to me is a good thang.

I personally thought this was a great movie. sure, it lacked alot of things, but it made up for it alot when it came to action. look back at all the great ninja movies. their story lines and everything sucked. but the action was awesome. Loved this movie, its the kind you can watch over and over again.

What about Sho Kosugi? They did not say anything about him as the villain ninja master.
He was amazing at this movie. One of the best villains ever. And I have seen lost of good villains in movies.
Sho Kosugi character is at Darth Vader level of malevolence in the screen. He is worth the movie.

What a bunch of bullshit! Sounds to me like the guys were focusing too much on rain's body than actually watching the movie. Action was awesome! It was 98% swordfighting! Got news for you, there's gonna be a lot of blood! As for the whispering, WTF did u expect them to use? Sign language? They ain't gonna talk loud if they are in a place where they wanna kill someone. The story may not have been original, but I still found it pretty good. A blind guy could do a better job reviewing than you rot

@DolanSCJSA You ever saw special ops? They don't talk at all when sneeking up on someone. So, there's a point to that statement. Anyway, the movie was ok, but I don't understand why, in recent years, American movies resort to more and more blood and special effects while neglecting the story. I think Americans don't like 3D characters but only 3D fx.

Ninja Assassin was AWESOME! If you are the type of person who is drawn to a movie titled "Ninja Assassin", you will freaking LOVE this movie. It has a very sexy Rain in it, too!! Which makes it automatically 10 trillion times better than Kill Bill! XD The story was okay, too (what don't kill me! yes, srsly). I mean Rain's backstory was interesting and the whole redemption thing - so sue me, it's not original but it works! And the fighting was A+++ OMG the blood~

"Rain is not an actor." What type of retarded comment is that. They obviously don't know a thing about Rain. Rain is an Korean ACTOR/SINGER/MUSIC PRODUCER/DANCER/MODEL. He has acted in Fugitive, A Love to Kill, Banjun Drama, Full House, Sang Doo Let's Go To School, I'm a Cyborg but It's Ok, & Orange. The only American movies hes been in are Ninja Assassin, & Speed Racer.
How difficult is it to figure out that its called Ninja Assassin because he ASSASSINATES NINJAS!

You know what I liked? They actually had an asian playing a fucking asian character. I'm white and even I'm going ok, in The Last Samurai why is the main character white and why is he the only surviving samurai at the end?
To see an asian actor portraying the main character when it was called for instead of 'Only white guy in japan is the ultimate ninja' was very refreshing.

Other than Rain's rediculous body & not-too-shabby action scenes this movie is an epic fail. The producers & director of this movie should consider doing sth else than making movies for a living. Spend the money to hire any animation extravagant from Japan. It will make up for their lack of artistic creativity, story telling skills, etc. Otherwise I'm not going to watch another dumb movie from the Wachowski bros ever again.

Where do I start. I am not a hug fan of movies that include alot of martial arts. However, when I saw this movie and this man (Rain), boy was I hooked, on him. The Watchowski brothers did a good job, except for no allowing subtitles during the Ninja training, which to me would have been more realistic. Either way this movie has given Rain nearly world wide exposure, which to me is a good thang.

this is not a review, this is just bashing a movie that you apparently didn't like. i personally really liked this movie the only two things it gets a minus from is the way to overused amount of blood and i guess the ninja ghost whispering.
other then that the fighting scenes is Awesome with a big A, storyline guess not the most original but its great! and the overall scenes is amazing!
All in all it's a great movie, just try to not think to much about the blood effects.
