(1 of 2) You cannot prove or disprove the existence of a "god". According to "little Crow" from the Lakota Sioux Indian tribe of North America, "We are god" and "everything is sacred" the word "god" has many different meanings depending on who you ask. To some he's a white bearded man on a throne in heaven, to others "god" is "the universe" and since us "humans" are a part of this universe, then we are "god" in that sense...or part of god.
(2 of 2) If 'all are one' then the only thing that separates things is our mind, our concepts. For example...the sun is just as vital to my health as my heart is, so where do we draw the line. Just because we are not rooted like a tree into the earth, doesn't mean we are not part of it, or are it. Am I loosing you. Christianity has nothing to do with this. Christianity, Judaism & Islam are all from the same culture. This is a way of looking at life from a different perspective or culture.
i admire this culture very much but i have a question for all the odinsit people that are watching this video: do you have proof that odin, thor, freyr and all of that gods really exist? and how do you people put your faith on they? i'm just asking, not attacking you and if you wanna know who i believe in , well i do belive in my Lord Jesus Christ and i belive in him because i have proof that he and his father exist and they are in heaven i wish i you could answer me and then i will answer you
@robiemsdarkable we do not have "real proof" that our gods and goddesses exist, somewhat due to most of asatru history was destroyed or stolen by the Christian Church and anyone who belived in asatru was killed. What do you mean by "how do you people put your faith on they?"
The only problem i have is that i have to pay to be a member.. can i still be Odinist without being a member of the OR? I dont have the money for a membership, im only 15 without a job
@hrussell0901 There are many, many Odinists out there who are not part of any official organisation. Membership fees for the Odinic Rite fund a quarterly magazine and go towards our many group activities. Get in touch and attend one of our events - there will be no pressure to join.
i am 18, and i want to know more about this. i want to learn from the source, not from a misleading internet source like google. please help me in my journey.
@RingBearer1992 I suggest that if you are of Northern European ancestry you ought to seriously look into Odinism. But it is NOT a path that can be mixed with christianity. For obvious reasons you will come to understand upon your journey, should you wish to undertake it. Odinsim is a FOLK faith, while christianity is a UNIVERSALIST faith, and one that is hostile to the old ways. We do not kneel before our Gods, we stand proud and free. Weshal!
Hey Brother, I too am an Odinist and I would ike to get more involved how do I contact the odinic rite, I want more info and to strengthen my religion

@happyhomie4 The Nature of Asartu is a good book by Mark Puryear. Also the Odinic Rite produce literature which is available from the Odinic Rite website.
@happyhomie4 Ask yourself, do you feel comfortable with the idea that the forest is your church? The mountains and forests, the sunshine and rain, the gods and goddesses, and Wotan's kindred are his living throne.
Very good your words man, really good! And I'm proud to see people so interested in this way! Although you're in the other side of the world, I don't feel myself alone on this battle!
So I don't know much about my heritage, I know I have Polish and German ancestors , but other than that I know not much. Iv'e been on a path to seek answers whether that be spirituality or not. My question is this. Being from America and clearly not knowing whether or not I have any real ties to Odinism is this frowned upon?I see you talk alot about Heritage and cultural oneness within, yet I love the symbols, knowledge, imagery, and the overall feel I get when exploring it..
Could you tell me the difference between worshiping the Nordic pantheon of Gods, or the Greek, Roman, or even Egyptian pantheon? I know ancestor worship is vital in Odinism but then shouldn't every race or nation have their own religion? Also the speaker in the video is English so shouldn't he really be worshiping Celtic deities and adhere to Druidry since that religion originated in Britain and not Germany/Scandinavia like Odinism? (I am genuinely interested, otherwise I would not be watching)
In the grand scheme of things, I believe that all people should adhere to the religion which is closest to them. By getting touch with our own soul and our own thoughts (rather than thinking what we are told to think) each individual comes to a conclusion that is best for them.
While some some English people err more towards Druidry, many also look towards the Northern European gods. There is much evidence of 'Odinism' in old England.
Although most Odinists do read alot of history, I personally maintain that as well as being well read, individuals should also listen to their 'soul' or 'heart' as much as their head when deciding which path to follow.
In the Odinic Rite, does a person have to believe the gods and goddesses in Odinism are real beings, or is it acceptable to believe they are myths that teach important truths to the folk?
@greenjackman. I mean no offense, but could you give me a more direct answer to my question? Does the Odinic Rite believe the gods and goddesses represent the forces of nature or that they are real persons? I just want a straight answer to a straight question. No offense intended. :o)
@NIETZSCHEAN14 GODs are angelic beings what elese controlls nature and other forces you have the anwser your not listing, look at your own word at the begining of the sentance you call them gods then you ask if they are real people, their children are as real as me talking to you now we are people they are angelic god like forfathers ,You are macking the confusion you already have the anwsers
@NIETZSCHEAN14 NOT true they are real that is why it as well as the celtic portion are family style religon becouse we are decended from these being aswell as each other meaning specifcly (celto\norse)
One of the most important things that parents who care about their race and heritage can do, is to dump the television. If parents do not do this, the controllers of what is on the television will be the ones giving the children their world-view. I dumped my television thirteen years ago and it was one of the best decisions of my life. I encourage all Odinic Rite people to do this.
do i have to be a certain age to join im 15 and i want to join but also finances are a problem for me since i dont have a job is there anyway i can associate without becoming a member yet? i do plan on becoming a member later in life
So want to get into Odinism. It should have been my birth right religion were it not for Christianity seeping in from the Middle East. Any good organizations in Minnesota?

@magikmhan321321 It depend on what you mean by "from northern Europe".
Look in the mirror, are you White? That means Germanic, anglo, latin(euro latin) , Scandinavian, Icelandic, etc... Oh, and from certain areas of Italy. Ancestors fall into those regions then well thats a start.
Check out Viking routes and find out where your family originates.
The Odinic Rite should seriously consider setting up a home-schooling facility. The government run schools are liberal indoctrination centers, so it is essential to keep your children out of them. If the Christians can home-school, I see no reason why the Odinists cannot. It would be a great investment in the lives of the folk.
...and reading and studying of the Torah and its commentaries.

(Oddly enough, Judaism (the third great monotheistic religion), is much like Heathenism in that it is not universal but ethnic...

@sHERBert2069 English are German. The Britons were Celtic. Same with the Scots,Welsh, and Irish.
All those God's are different, but are some what related, except for Egyptian.
OiSkinnHead69 8 months ago
@sHERBert2069 There are several reasons why english people should not pursue druidry but should pursue asatru.
1. the english are a germanic people - their ancestors the anglo-saxons and normans, all worshipped the gods of aseir.
2. there is no evidence for ANY actual celtic presence on the british isles besides an influence in art and pottery.
3. Most of the customs of druidism were made up in the 19th century in an attempt to stir up nationalist movements in the celtic fringe

NIETZSCHEAN14 10 months ago
@NIETZSCHEAN14
Personal beliefs are of course personal to each individual.
Our gods & goddesses are 'multi-layered' and serve many purposes, especially as mythological teachers.
They are real, but what people consider to be 'real' is personal opinion.

NIETZSCHEAN14 10 months ago
@NIETZSCHEAN14
No offence taken - however each OR member will have a different viewpoint, so I cannot answer for the OR as a whole.
My personal view is that our Gods are spiritual forces who are aware of themselves and the universe, and who can be communicated with.
It is certainly possible that these spiritual forces did exist as physical beings at one point.
