@jiggie181 Don't take the story so literally - Krishna symbolizes of Satya, Ahimsa, Dharma etc. Duryodhana doesn't know anything about these hence his logical choice was the army. It couldn't have been anything else even hypotheticaly.

@r8rdarklord Watching Mahabharat again for 2rd time I noticed smaller details a bit more, From alot of the key points where Krishna is involved, it seems like he manipulates things and makes things happen a certain way since he knows how people will react. Seems a bit wrong sometimes how all knowing all seeing powerful divine entity came to manipulate the story. A little bit unfair advantage to the other side. but thats part of the story i guess.

@SINGHukSINGH That is one way to look at it. However, you may have also noticed that he gives everybody a chance to rectify their mistakes (in fact not only a chance but a warning too). However, people are so entrenched in their own selfish deeds that they pay no heed to it. Take any characters example from Shishupal-Duryodhana-Karna, for each of them he had a suggested a different way and yet those guys rejected it.

interesting how it would have been, if Duryodhan had chosen krishna. Krishna would have still ensured Pandavas victory while fighting on Kauravas side - thats for sure, but would be much more interesting scenario. Anyone agrees with me :)

@chandran900 If Duryodhan had chosen Krishna then it would have meant his shunning the path of injustice and taking shelter of the Supreme Lord who is beyond any selfish interest. And after coming in contact with the Lord he would have changed instantly and leaving his hatred towards Pandavas and desire to ascend the throne and coexisted with his own tormented cousins in love and bliss! Well it did not happen. My point is it is less like "what if it happenned" than establishing truth and virtue
