  • Where did you get the electronic thermometer?

  • @Novaphotog We sell an infrared thermometer at Bramble Berry. But you can also find them in kitchen gadget stores and outdoor specialty shops.

  • Not sure how that loaf mold would cut. You would have to cut it sideways, right?

  • @arieswitch376 No, you just cut in slices as usual. I show an example of one I made earlier at :35 in the video.

    Happy Soaping!

  • Sorry if I'm getting annoying but I'm wondering how some micas aren't safe to use in things like lip gloss.

  • @crystalrain1998 So the safety of a product for cosmetic use is determined by the FDA in the U.S. and other countries have their own organizations that decide what is and isn't safe. So sometimes you'll have a mica that safe to use in say Japan but not the US and vice versa. And while a particular color may no longer be used because it i found to be harmful, sometimes they aren't used because they may be an irritant for some people. So I like to play it safe and just follow the FDA guidelines.

  • Hi. Can you explain what the loaf double pour would look like please? I was thinking about it and I am not sure how you would cut that one because one side would be one color and the other side another. Am I just confused? lol. I LOVE the quadruple pour too. Very cool!

  • @momzmoviez That swirly orange bar I am holding at :39 is an example of a double pour loaf. Of course, it depends on the temperature you pour at. That example was a little on the high side so the 2 colors swirled together more.

  • @soapqueentv Oh ok, so you just poured the first layer in that loaf. I was thinking you made some sort of loaf soap that was VERY shallow. lol. So, you need to double pour more layers than. I think I get it. I must've missed something there. lol. Thanks!

  • Why don't you use flashy colours like blue, or pink or violet? Always brown or white or orange!!

  • @mreinstein48 Check out the Swirling video, I use pink, violet and blue colorants for that project. :)

  • Great job

  • Thanks so much everyone - I'm so glad to hear you're enjoying these.

pafesa - you can use any base you like. I used clear because you can get deeper, richer colors which show up better on video. But I love Shea soap and that would make a pretty pastel bar. Sounds great!

  • Does it have to be a clear base? Can I use a Shea Butter Base for the double pour technique?

  • That is sooooo cool!

  • Thank you so much for doing these videos every week. It's so much easier to learn when you can watch someone doing it. Thank you again!

  • to add to list "For the 4 pour" :

  • YAY! You just made my Friday!
