This is So beautiful. I could listen to classical music all day long. I took Music Appreciation last year at college, I LOVED every second of it. When I die, I want them to play Bettoven's Moonlight Sonata.
Thank you for posting such a beautiful piece of music. I think it's nice how you posted the main themes on the screen. I simply don't know how Tchaikowsky could call this symphony "Pathétique"!
I love this music. My dad's favourite song "starry night". Played it at his funeral and wouldn't have been able to do that without you updloading it on you tube. thank you.
Y pensar que cuando esta sinfonía fue presentada por primera vez fue recibida con frialdad e incomprensión por el pùblico entendido de Rusia. Tchailovsky gozó primero de fama y reconocimiento en el extranjero antes que en su país. Nadie es profeta en su época.
Vaya genio!

Marvelous harmony! Tchaikovsky is 1 of the greatest composers without a doubt

@TchaikovskyFDR
The word pathetic comes from the Greek word pathos which means suffering. Everyone knew that at the time, but not everyone knows it today, lol

ChopinFanatic19 1 year ago
@ChopinFanatic19 T. called his 6th symphonie "Pathetique" because it's a french word with ancient greek root meaning passionate and sorrowful.
starborg9 1 year ago
@ChopinFanatic19 you answered your own question - he called it pathétique, not pathetic; different languages, different meanings

I just wish I could go back in time, just pick him up, hug him, and put him somewhere he could be happy.

interestingly, had tchaikovsky lived a happy life, he might not have had the impetus to write such beautiful and painfully emotional music

what about Bach?
manymanero 2 years ago
what do you mean?
otherjoe1234 2 years ago
his life was not a tragedy
manymanero 2 years ago
well, bach's religious devotions were what spawned most of his creativity. everyone has a different source for their expression.

what about Wagner?
manymanero 2 years ago
