  • o taK

  • @janusz196144 dlaczego nie zagracie w POLSCE??

  • I do not like anyone slagging these guys off as they are a great band and have been around a long time.... I first saw them in '73 and then again 2010! They still love being on stage and I still love seeing them up there so anyone having a go, I'll say no more............ it is not complimentary!!! Long may these guys carry on and I do hope I'll get to see them in concert again.

  • Wow these boys rock! I have watched several of their videos now, and what I really like is that they always seem to be having lots of fun.

  • @ddebenedictis Part of their, 'problem', (if you call it that), is that these guys like to enjoy themselves on stage and have NEVER taken themselves that serious, particularly since the mid 80's. Some people just can't handle that and call them, 'cabaret', and a, 'joke', etc. But these guys can still rock like the best of them. Listen to their latest album, Quid Pro Quo', for proof!

  • Excelente interpretación de un difícil clásico del rock ´n´roll.

  • Wow....exelent....♫

  • Playback?

  • @uozon

Doubt it, if anything possibly badly sync'ed sound/video. Status Quo has done plenty of preformances with playback (TOTP comes to mind, since they demanded it) but I've never heard about them using playback for an ordinary show.

  • Das ist Musik!!

  • cool Band

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!!!

  • really good

  • best music in the world from 1961 till today has been done by those you call the brits... you're 68? then show some respect

  • @mr9396 ;)

  • Of course, the Beatles only brought American music back to the USA. Chuck Berry wrote and recoded it, but white Americans didn't appreciate 'black' music. It took the Brits to bring it to their attention.

  • @geezzerboy I am 68 years old and remember " black music" quite well, Little Richard comes to mind, We didnt need the Beatles to apppreciate the early roots of Rock And Roll, In fact the early American Rockers are who molded all the British acts who followed........

  • @prebooomer I agree.

  • I'm 69 .In our Suburban High School and all those nearby, Chuck Berry was well respected. He was probably the most popular Rocker of that time. Contrary to popular belief, there was very little prejudice in our area. We lived in the Midwest. White teenagers were in the majority back in the fifties and we loved Chuck Berry. We spoke that love with our dollars. Keep in mind every Drugstore back then had a Soda Bar & Juke box. So Rock was everywhere. You are very wrong

  • @geezzerboy Chuck Berry was one of the first black musicians to do well with a white audience. Because of his energetic performing style, and his youth-associated lyrics, Chuck Berry broke through the race barrier and became one of the first 'rock' stars. Chuck Berry's rise to popularity in the 1950's did not influence rock and roll, it defined rock and roll. Teenagers were coming into their own as an economic and cultural force then and they adopted rock and roll music as their own.

  • @geezzerboy Circumstances unique to the United States allowed Rock & Roll to grow here... and allowed artists such as Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Eddie Cochran Bill Haley and many, many more to flourish. We didn't need the Brits. to tell us about Rock. We had the originals. Not to take away from other countries, everyone has their own bragging points... but Rock & Roll is American. It started here.

  • @geezzerboy And why do you mention the Beatles at all?? this video is of Status Quo, probably the best British Rock band of all time. The Beatles did bubble gum music for 13 year olds, these guys play real rock and roll........

  • This was the first Beatles song released in the USA. I remember it well. Music changed that day.

  • @geezzerboy

The Beatles version is horrific :P I love Beatles but their early covers are just plain crap tbh.

Beatles plays Rock quite well, splendid pop, but Rock n Roll... Nahh. If any "white" person broke barriers and bringing forth the "black" music, its Elvis and that was done before Beatles became big in US.

I personally find Beatles alot better then Elvis but credit should be put where credit is due.

  • The more I know this band the more I like it. Fab guys.

  • this is EPIC!!! :D

  • The Beatles did a great version of this back in 63, without the distortion pedal. I love Quo.

  • Yes!

  • Chuck Berry should love this one!!

  • super vraiment ^^

    quel bon riff

  • geniales!!... música clásica y rock en perfecta fusión

  • Probably the best cover of this venerable rock&roll song ever made!!!!!!

  • I still think these guys have such obvious energy and enjoyment at what they do, that at age 57, when I feel down, I crank up these dudes and get energized for the day. It is still a mystery to me as to why these musicians didn't at the very least, outsell, now what was their name? Oh yeah! I think it was the aptly named "Monkees!" Circus Boy, Davey Jones, and oh yes, I think one guy could actually play the guitar. What a waste of talent! We in the US have missed out!

  • @5CX1500 I grew up in Oklahoma and I heard the Quo on the radio. I don't remember if it was WLS out of Chicago or WKY in Oklahoma City but I heard them. I bought their records at Wilcox Records on 23rd Street in Oklahoma City and Starship Records in Tulsa.Maybe even at Gibson's in Ponca City. For whatever reason there were many people that didn't know of them so chalk it up to thier promotion people and the DJs that didn't play their music.

  • @5CX1500 I agree with you, When you say “We in the US have missed out!” I had never heard of them before, I just happened to stumble across this video while searching for old Rock & Roll songs, these guys are great. We might “have missed out!” But at least we had the original, Chuck Berry, perhaps the greatest of them all. Every time I hear this song I get a mental picture of Beethoven rolling over in his grave as he gets an earful of Chuck Berry.

  • maybe its jus me but at the start of that, it sounds like Chuck Berry?

Great tune all the same like

  • "Behhoooven" LOL

  • Everything must Quo....

  • Brilliant - not bad for old fellas!! Lol

  • im seeing quo on sunday at guiilfest

  • Well unless you do the ELO version this is as good as it gets

  • jeh that's rock great sound

  • rock and roll!!!!!!!

  • fantastic performance

  • Chucku Berrymu podle nevadilo určitě , Ze SE Toho chytli tihle , az strojově hrajícící chlapci . Dyť JE TO poradny odvaz . Jine pojetí , jiný svět , ALE pořád stejná sranda ! Bavme SE O až JDE !

  • I'm a big fan of Chuck Berry and Status Quo :)

  • Follow that Chuck Berry!!

  • crap guitaring, shit tunes, boring words, no life music...........is what I would be saying if i was watching " The Doves " the Artic monkees or whatever!

    Thank f"""ck for the Quo!!!!!!!!!

  • @robertfairweather smart arse, i was about to say WTF!

  • @robertfairweather

    asshole; that's all

  • @robertfairweather whats wrong with the artic monkeys? just cause you dont like the music dosent mean you need to slag it

  • Quo covers rock like no other group. Next to always better then the original. Picking up an old Chuck tune and bringing it to live in a way even Chuck failed.

Dont get me wrong, I like Berry, but this is intence. The energy is insane.

In short, this is what RnR is all about.

  • ELO much better:)

  • been listenin to this kinda music since it was invented a looooooong time ago, these guys are gooooooooooooood

  • play bacck??

  • this version by status quo was awesome...very high energy..has the energy that the song originally was supposed to have..these guys sure know how to rock..everything is in perfect harmony.. the guitar work is superb...oh well guess i better start practicing more guitar...after hearing this exceptional band..
