Wow - that poor dog!! You need to *show* her what to do! You can't just start yelling commands at a dog and expect them to understand you and do what you want. You have to "guide" them into a sit (gently! Never PUSH them into a sit, as you can hurt their backs by doing so), or guide them into a stand (while telling them "stand" - NOT yelling "GET UP!" repeatedly). It's amazing she is doing so well with someone who is so impatient and clueless trying to train her... please watch some youtube vids
A tip is to only introduce the sit command when the dog understands the behaviour, so you don't have to repeat it so much. If you repeat the command a lot, the dog learns that it doesn't have to obey the first time and she won't listen as well to you.
She is a cutie though, good luck with future training!
Everyone check out sddogtrainer. This Youtuber has a much more effective video for teaching your puppy how to sit. You will see the difference immediately.
@K9, for clicker training is kind of bothersome ^^ cause you have to have a clicker all the time, but it's personal preferance i'm not saying it's a fact it's bothersome ^^ no mean comments please.
I taught my Shih Tzu to sit very quickly, in 30 minutes. Hes only 8 weeks old and he sits on command now, without a treat ^^
I think you would have better and faster results if you learned how to train with a clicker. You did alot of repeating your cues. She looked confused and probably frustrated. There are YouTube video's on how to teach it. I think you will be alot happier with the results.
wow training my dog was hard anyway if ur having difficulty to make her stand just place the food thing on top of her nose and she'll get up to grab it and say stand then make her sit again and hold the food on her nose again until she stands to grab it so say "stand" this way she'll stand anyway u have a very cute puppy i have a golden retriever lol k bye hope my way works for ur cute pup it worked for mine
I have just got my husky and she is a very fast learner, i taught her sit in 5 minutes and she is only 7 weeks old. It works better if you make it a game. Bring your hand with a treat in it up over the back of their head they will naturally sit then say the command when they do so. After just a few attempts she was doing it with no hand signals at all and she really enjoys doing it.
If you repeat her name that much when you want her to sit, she would sit when you said her name too, so just use the word sit and that's it, just call her if she is far away from you. Don't repeat that much is kind of annoying to the dog and they will take longer to respond. Nice dog man.
i'm not an expert or smth., but i know a few things about dogs :). try not to repeat that much the command, because the dog will not think that it has to sit on the first time you say it. and another thing...try to be more playful/sound more happy/exited. good luck :)
Very nice, i wish there were more vids like this about husky training. I'm getting my sibe pup in a few weeks. I cant wait to train him. How hard was your pup to housebreak?

you made many mistakes... one, you're not supposed to repeate the command because the dog will learn to not listen to you the first time!
another is you touching her, and forcing her to sit.
clicker training is not bothersome, check out kikopup on youtube. just type in kikopup, and you will see the wonders of clicker training.
