  • Dude, that's 2010 @.@

  • best way to have a quiet pc use water/liquid cooling

  • @gdialpha We sell water cooling as well but remember you still need cooling fans on a water cooled systems so really it's the same. Also the high-end air coolers perform excellent at a fraction of the cost without the risk of leaks or maintenance. The Performance is very close as well.

  • Now the chance is smaller you get wank-snapped ^^

  • System was quiet until he took out the 10k rpm hdds LMAO

  • how much does all this cost? I need a pc for 3d animation. I am lost as to what i should get. ANd how loud can a computer get? Louder than a fat ps3? Louder than a space heater? I am sooo lost...

  • @caveman357 newegg has everything you need and tut videos on how to choose parts and build a system

  • I'm wondering what your opinion is about CPU/heatsink lapping. I have the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme and noticed many lapping theirs to theoretically get better surface contact and thus heat transfer. I'm skeptical of this, however. Also, I notice it is very heavy, and for an upright tower, puts a lot of torque forces on the motherboard which is concerning.

  • @9b8 We have never had an issue with a CPU or mainboatrd W/ thermalright this is due to the awesome bolt thru kits they provide. The nickle plate has been taken down to a molecular level thus transfers heat efficiently also Thermalright works closely with Intel for design and lapsing there bases to match the CPU. WE HAVE NEVER LAPSED 1 & I HAVE HEARD MIX RESULTS ON THIS. Some even go as far as lapsing the CPU. personaly even if i could shave off 1-3 degress i prefer the anti-corosion properties

  • @acousticpc Thanks for the response. Quick question: Is it normal to be able to twist the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme with your hands after mounting? I know it isn't supposed to be super tightly bolted, but it seems way too loose for my liking. With the weight of it, I'm concerned that it isn't SQUARELY making contact with the CPU. I have a X3360 Quad Core, and two cores are always a few degrees hotter, averaging 41-43 at idle on stock settings! I even shimmed the back plate to no avail.

  • @9b8 it should fit firmly in place when tightening the screws. on the newer TR coolers we sell such as the Thermalright Venomous X or even better the Thermalright Venomous X Silent CPU Cooler includes more brackets and dual fans. it also comes with an amazing bolt thru kit called the pressure vault you can tighten to 20, 50 pounds etc it actually increases performance. something does not sound right with your install. it should not be really lose like the way you are describing

  • The answer is simple : MONEY...

  • Nice PC only thing I would change is the video card to a Sapphire 11192-06-20G HD6670 1GB Ultimate Graphics Card as it looks like a much better and faster card to me.

    And I would want HDMI.

  • @EastAngliaUK Thank you for your feed back both ATi & Nvidia are excellent cards. Im sure both have there pros and cons. Nividia has CUDA Technology and for gaming NVIDIA PhysX. ASUS was nice enough to sponser us with these DUAL GTX 580'S and belive me they are fantastic! YOU would be hard pressed to find cards in this caluiiber weather from another Nv manufacture or ATi top notch that out perform these... But i appreciate your comments hope you liked the video.

  • Dude you are such a G.

  • I tried to watch this video in 1080p full-screen, and my computer started sounding like a vacuum cleaner...

    *Googles Acousticpc*

  • this was uploaded in 2010 but it looks like 1980 >:0

  • I just built a really quiet PC. Components?

2500K and Asus reference design 6950.

I had my doubts about the 6950 because it's reference, but it turned out very quiet when the case airflow is great. My fans?

In a Fractal Design Define R3, I have:

-2x Noctua NF-P12, intake in front, exhaust in back

    -Noctua NF-P14, intake in bottom

-Noctua NH-U12P for the processor, both blowing towards the back exhaust

All Noctua just for color scheme though. This thing is so quiet.

  • you can get all that at compsplanet in UK

  • How much is all this going to cost and how many ghz does this comp has

  • @Astro247z This system was built one year ago and so the prices have gone down on these components. please visit our site and make and you can find the prices there, if there is something you can not find or need a special order contact us via phone or email and we will help you and quote you as well as suggest cooling and hardware components for your build and application. But we need more info and YouTube is limiting in characters.

  • @Astro247z lol "how many ghz does the comp have!" Well, if you add up the hz from all the different components in the "comp" that are calculated in cycles per second, i'd estimate 20 ghz.

  • Why does it need to be so quiet, Are you goig to be jacking off all the time and you dont want your mom to walk in on you or somthing lol.

  • @zfunkychickenz Noise can be an important factor in work environments. Believe it or not, even small fan noises can contribute to how the brain interprets its environment. These noises can also affect how the brain responds. Noise is a crucial factor in Audio/Visual production. For instance, say you are recording something for a video--do you want computer fans whirring in the background? Once it's recorded, it's not easy to completely edit the whirring out, and doing it wrong can ruin it.

  • Is a disclaimer really needed?

  • amd fan because oof the cheapness :D cause intel is to expensive

  • The stereotypical nerd, but with no pencil holder :(

  • this is awsome:D

  • that scsi card cost more than the parts alone

  • This PC supplies is worth like $1,400USD.

  • he looks like lionel messi :P

  • As soon as I saw the word "seagate" I lost all faith in this video.

  • 0:11 did'nt expected a nerd to come

  • @spaceorbison That is not so... Quiet / silent computers and DAW's - Digital Audio work stations are for Creative People, Gamers Entertainment sytsems and applications where noise can be and issue such as (HTPC) Home Thearter PC's. or users working with Audio and Video Production, where max concentration is needed. Specially for Recording where mic's can pick up things human ears can't.. They are also excellent for quiet home and office or anywhere where silence is needed.

  • @acousticpc I agree with everything you said. I retract my statements about the computers but not the guitarists :)

  • @spaceorbison Go listen metal or punk music. Forget us. :)

  • how much would this thing cost? (approximatly)

  • @kingcurzon $3,000+ as an estimate, just looking at the parts. the SCSI 10,000RPM HDD's are about $300 a piece and they have 4. Makes me sick.

  • this guy reminds me of daxflame..

  • This video made my head explode

  • How to Build a Quiet High-Performance vacum cleaner

  • Looks like a nerd!! hahahahahah!!! XD

  • now i need money and a whole crap load... opens suit case* Put it in >:D

  • i think i am an AMD fan boi cause when i see someone building a computer and they use the Intel cpu i quickly find another video?

  • @points2shopPROOF The way i see it is that when you have two companies competing AMD versus Intel or Nvidia versus ATI the end user ends up with better technology and price, so frankly im not a fan boy of either company i think each one has it's place, advantages and dis-advantages. We did feel in this particular build focus on audio and video production the clear advantage is with Intel CPU and Nvidia refrence video card.

  • @points2shopPROOF Personally, i use Intel, but i think the rule is this: AMD for value, and Intel for performance

  • Would this case be suitable to having 1 (or possibly 2 later on) GTX 480's? I love the case, but I'm not sure if the cards will be too toasty...

  • @Exestenz This case is awesome for high ventilation and quiet. you have fans you can add on the top, bottom and of course the back exhaust fan. plus you can add 2 more modular drive racks witch will give you capabilty for up to 9 hard drives and each bay has a fan option for more cooling. Nv 480 is going to be hot in any case i suggest a good cooling solution for the card as well.

  • This is DaxFlame!

  • Those coolers for the CPU and GPU had no fans. You can passively cool modern components with those?

  • @starsiegeplayer You sure can. It is always recommended to monitor temps just to make sure that you are with in guide lines. But it is possible.

  • LOL! I just made a computer with basically the same parts, I used a hs2, same motherboard, and a an X3440, same cpu cooler and some power supply! I had never seen the video before ether. I guess as they say "great minds think alike" :P

  • @moomee237 That is amazing! Glad to hear you like the choice of hardware.

  • LOL! I just made a computer with basically the same parts, I used a hs2, same motherboard, and a an X3440 and some power supply! I had never seen the video before ether. I guess as they say "great minds think alike" :P

  • you should've got 4 500gb ocz vertex 2 instead, they are faster and have no latency, and are absolutely silent

  • im high nerdssssss

  • how bout an affordable computer?

  • @asfbi This PC was built for and example. We could have gone more expensive or less, the point is you don't have to have SAS drives or an lsi card or a gaming card. It really just depends on your application. We focused on what we were going to use it for witch was video production and rendering witch is very demanding. But you can accomplish a quiet PC with out these high-performance parts. All you need is the right quiet cooling hardware.

  • @acousticpc hmm i got it appreciate the response

  • @asfbi - if you listened to the speaker, he noted the pc build was for video and audio production. High performance + making sure it was quiet.

  • Lol he use a Zalman case? Why not choose fractal design R2? It have sound dampering material on all sides. Those silenx fans are very quiet what I seen on their website, one of their 120mm fans rotare at 1100rpm but only makes 11dba in noise but oddly this guy are just using those fans on the cpu heatsink.

  • @Nefus1988 Overkill on sound dampening is never a bad thing. I'm not familiar with fractal cases so i can't comment on them.

  • @Nefus1988 Overkill on sound dampening is never a bad thing. I'm not familiar with fractal cases so i can't comment on them.

  • @Nefus1988 What i can tell you is the end result of this build was extremely quiet and high performance. ZALMAN cases are top of the line. We do sell EXTRA sheets of Acoustic Sound Dampening material in our site Acoustic PC so you can add it anywhere on your case you feel is necessary. Also our EXTRA sheets of soundproofing is much higher quality and performance than what case manufactures offer.

  • STOMP ON NERDS

  • @21boxhead okay, give us back your cellphone, laptop and television.

  • @JunckiFilms come and get it if you want to get your face smashed in

  • @21boxhead your name suits you.

  • @JunckiFilms what fag boy?

  • 3:06

Or how about a sealed watercooler like the Corsair H50? It cools excellent and I now only have a 120mm fan running at 900rpm. However the pump do a little buzzing noise wich is more annoying than fan noise so maybe aircooled is better.

  • @Nefus2 This quiet CPU cooler out performs the Corsair and you don't have the risk or maintanace of water cooling. The performance always stays the same. Also I'm not comfortable with having a vibrating pump on a expensisive CPU like this one.

  • this is daxflame alter ego.

  • I would also recommend a ati 5830 it has the same performance but has dx11

  • LOL SCSI drives? GG u lose

  • What's the approximate total cost of this computer?

  • @teddy405139 £75,000

  • @jrsrage

Another fanboy of another product came to troll Asus. U sicky boy get a hatchet and smash ur computer and modem for thousands of pieces.

  • HE LOOKS LIKE DAXFLAME

  • Yo dont buy an Asus, Some bestbuy worker told me that Asus doesn't use Graphic cards, they use like memory and etc..

  • @JrsRage

    huh??

  • @foladko Hey thats wat he told me alright. So go ask then your self lol!

  • i got a question, if the asus motherboard specs says amd am3 cpu support up to 1066 mhz ram and the mother board it self supports all oc speeds, what is the sig of the processor support speed and will it be a waste of time buying say a 1600 mhz ocz for the asus mother that is dual channel ddr3

  • Can someone give me an idea what all of this would cost? Thanks.

  • and yeh, looking at the stuff this guy bought the ram alone is like 347, cpu almost 200 hard, the cpu cooler is alot aswell, so you looking at like 1300 to 1500

  • Great video. Nice choice of parts! I'm looking forward towards the 2nd video and more.

  • I'll subscribe! Nice work!

  • when will the part 2 come out??

  • Next week. Stay tuned!

  • Part 2 should be out this Friday if everything goes well.

  • Hey looking forward to the build guys! Come on lets get some videos up!

  • mh you should take a gigabyte mainboard ^^

  • why do you talk like an asian?

  • maybe he is Asian!!!

  • @bizkitboi0327 Haha, I'm not Asian. I'm Hungarian!

  • Excellent Video review.

  • Looking forward to seeing the rest of the series as the PC comes together!

  • first to post =p

    Nice work guys.
