This is als great, according to Disney, Pochontas in one of the nine Disney Princesses(soon to be ten when come Oct.2nd with Rapunzel, and they choose John to be her Prince, I am assumeing because they ignoe John Rolfe too he is not in the Parks, by Smith is so I am taking it that makes him her Prince instead of Rolfe according to Disney.lol.

This is my favourite Disney movie. Almost everything about and in it is so beautiful. A movie about a love story, against racism and colonialism and one one of the best drawn movies of all time. The music is just fascinating and touching, driving and epic, sweet and wild at the same time and this love song we hear is just gorgeous, like Pocahontas is in this movie version. Its not historically correct, but who cares, lets enjoy!

When this movie was going into the theatres when it came out, Disney had footage of Jon Secada and Shanice singing this song. Watching them sing was sooo powerful! Jon Secada has such feeling and emotion when he's singing this. It was absolutely incredible! When it was done I was moved to tears. Beautiful.

well i hate to break it to you, but this is loosely based off the real pocahontas and she really did marry a john rolfe when she was taken to England and baptized as Rebecca. John Smith just happened to be the settler that she saved when they founded Jamestown. They did mess the story up they were just going by history-loosely based mind you.

this song is just awesome, and i'm so glad disney decided to pair it up with this movie, because the two just go so hand in hand and perfect with each other. also, everytime i hear this i want to cry because it is so beautiful and such a romantic song, i could so see or hear it being played at weddings as the "song" of the bride and groom.

No, it was written by Menken & Schwartz. Beautiful song - It's a wonder why Disney did not choose to release this as a single. I guess it's because Shanice is on it and there seems to be some conspiracy by fate to keep her out of the spotlight.
