Wow.. this is soo.... unrealistic. People in here actually call this a flight sim. Amazing. This is like an arcade game. It does not simulate anything in real life. Try Falcon 4.0. That is a real flight simulator.

tom clancy games have really gone sour... the original Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six were the best... GR2 and GRAW sucked horribly... and as for Splinter Cell, well... Solid Snake would kick Sam Fisher's ass any day of the week...

as far as a sense of speed, arcade games actually do a pretty decent job of pulling that off. but if we could put together something that has the best of both worlds, that would be great. :-)

@z28camaro2 Well that's something that is hard to achieve. If you want an arcade game so you feel like flying really fast but still a sim that makes you feel you're flying a real plane. That's almost impossible.

I'm more into Flight simulators because... Well i love to fly.

But sometimes i want to get into arcade games ...

In H.A.W.X they said it was a jet fighter sim that makes you feel like you're flying a real aircraft. Tried the demo. Was greatly dissapointed.

@z28camaro2 Sims are actually VERY accurate. They don't overdo it like if you're doing mach 1.6 you "feel" like doing Mach 1.6 but in this game i flew like mach 0.8 at the same altitude as i was doing in FSX when i did Mach 1.6 in FSX. I "felt" like i was doing mach 3.5 in H.A.W.X

@robloxguggi I just don't get how at say an Airshow you can see fighter pilots do all sorts of crazy shit, and then when I try to do them in a sim like Lock ON, I just like flatspin....

like I understand you cant just do a bunch of nonsensical shit, and go bananas all over the place, and expect not to flatspin, but I'm talking about flying horizontally, and then pulling up, and going straight up, vertically, almost right away I start to spin out of control. - Doesn't make sense to me.

Have this for my PC, I beat it back before when I had XP (requires less RAM, and with my shitty-ass 512 MB of RAM i managed to beat it too :D) Great game BTW, I also took a picture of my MiG-21 in the middle of firing a missile over Rio de Janeiro in Free Play. In AC6, the Frame rate remains butter smooth. I know its ONLY 30fps - but damn it feels like 60.

Do the *exact* same thing in HAWX - and the framerate drops and stutters as you pan around the scenery.

Oh and lets talk physics. While neither game is a sim (100 missles onboard) - Hawx fligh model seems to totally discount gravity, whilst AC6 at least factors it into acount much better re: stalling, and a lower performance envelope for the jets at lower altitudes.

honstly. ace combat 6 and hawx are equally good. they both have graphics that would be orgasmic on a HD tv, they both have amzing 4th, 4.5th, and 5th gen planes, and theyre both insanely awesome games. Ace Combat has a better storyline cause theyve had 6 games to develope it. H.A.W.X. uses the 5th gen abilities(thrust vectoring). in the end theyre both great games. dont knock either one until you try them
