Excellent job, Halden Toy! I saw this young man perform back in April at the St. Mark's Compline service, and was completely mesmerized by his genius! I only wish I had gotten a chance to talk to him afterwards! As a piano performance major, I have great respect and appreciation for those who can play the organ this well!
Excellent!. Beautiful phrasing and phrase direction. Exciting tempo and you made it happen at this tempo. I liked the ornamentation that you added. It fit the phrase nicely and added to the effect. Also to be commended is that your toso stays still even during the pedal solo. Have you studied the Alexander method? Your stillness at the console adds to the impression that you are a master organist who is at ease with his playing and is one with the instrument.
It was good! I hope, at this time next year, we can present you a much better organ for this music than what is there now. I have a full spec. planned out but we were being prevented from completing it by the present caretaker (who is a hobbyist who is not capable of the work). There will be a III rk. Mixture in the Great as well as the Krummhorn that the "hobbyist" omitted to oppose the Cornet in the Swell. Also, in the swell: Fugara and a Plein Jeu of IV rks. Other refinements as well.
Not sure what camera you are talking about. This one was shot by me with my little camera (quality could be better). I hope you are tolerably pleased with it. I felt this was a moment that needed documenting. I failed to get any of Thomas Varas regrettably. Do you know him?
I think it turned out well except for where I had some memory slips. Yes I know Thomas for the most part in the organ world at least. I say a camera mounted up in the Back on a stand
