hello, i have a 40 gallon Tank, i have plants in it, but i m not quite sure how much Light i have to provide.please tell me correct way to provide light. I am using 2 CFCs bulbs of 25 Watts each, and a small 10watt Aquarium tube light.
@bc4527 Hello bc4527. I simply wanted to congratulate you on this beautifully set-up aquarium! Your use of fore-ground plants, background plants with the height difference', rockery set-up and bog-wood is stunning! And given that this is your very first planted set-up, illustrates, without an atom of doubt, your talent! Your vid is much appreciated. Best wishes. Ebs
simply lovely. i like ur selection of plants. ur placement of driftwood is very nice. may i suggest adding some amano shrimp and malaysian trumpet snails. they will help with cleaning the tank. they are good when it comes to dead plant matter like old leaves.
Thanks for the compliment, but... I can't take full credit because I've had to remove some of the plants since they started to crowd each other out. And now I'm finding it more difficult than I thought it would be to properly prune them and keep them looking good. I'm waiting until I can get it looking better again before I post a new video.
you have to trim the plants bout once every 2 weeks. divide the plants, if u have a planted aquarium the best way to keep them togethor and not intervening with other plants. like little nets like the ones that are on net scoopers. find the material and cut it and put it in between plant bundles. i had 70 gal well planted,10 gal salt and 10 gal fresh, two 5 gals
Very nice tank, how many hours do you have your lights on,whats the capacity of the tank in gallons?if i were you ill try some plants with some red leaves to provide some contrast and if i might try Co2,but i think you are doing fine for now, nice work :)
Thank you! It's about 65 gallons (240L). The lights are on right now for 7 hours a day. I actually order a reddish plant when I bought them, but they were sold out and sent me a replacement. I'm hesitant to add any plants right now because I finally got rid of the snails, and I want to add some shrimp.
