how in the HELL has this not been mentioned everywhere? I have to say ive been around when hearing about spiritual and influential music but honestly this reassures me there is a plague in society when there comes to the quality of music. I didnt hear a single hint of 4/4 or any kind of rhythm and this still feels more musical than anything else today.
@AlteredVisionz Agree ... Helios and Hammock are the best artists I can find. It's not like all the other boring meditative music on the market. I've been looking for awesome music to help me meditate. Most of their songs give me the chills just like this one does. You're awake my brother. Lyrics are for those who want brainwashing.
@gatheringleaves I don't know. My guess is that the main reason that it's not so popular is because a lot of people like to hear singing with their music...? So, Post-Rock. Kinda being the least popular of the music genre because they don't like to just listen to the sounds. They... Need lyrics? Per-say? But, that's just what I think. What's your opinion on the matter, Mr/Ms. Gleaves?
Yeah I agree, I think the fact that there are no singing or lyrics is the main reason why it's not more popular, kind of like ambient music, but I think that songs dont need lyrics in order for them to be good, I personally enjoy both instrumental and lyrical music. However, not all Post Rock is just instrumental, Sigur Ros sings on almost all of their songs and some other bands do as well. And my name isnt gleaves
@gatheringleaves Then what would you prefer I call you then, comrade? At any rate I know about most bands using lyrics in there songs. Hammock does, Maybeshewill, and lots more. But still. It's like... an adventure with most of these songs, you know? Like... Listen to the instrumental Infinite Horizons by God is an Astronaut. Close your eyes, and enjoy the ride.

Man. Just like God is an Astronaut. I completely love all of their tracks. Post-Rock really needs to be better advertised.
