I have the CD to this soundtrack, but I can't find this compilation "Promentory" as it's called on it. Of course, there's a song on there called that, but it sounds nothing like this, and is nowhere near as long. I know it's towards the very end, where they're chasing after the younger sister, and Nunca (if I remember correctly) gets killed.
Is it on the soundtrack, or not? Where can I find it and buy it?

Concerning my statement however, I'd just came back from giving a rather long week survival course in the Everglades, was bone-tired but still stowed my gear, showered, got ready for bed and wanted to take the edge off those past 8 days with some music from ENYA. Yeah, I was probably a real ass for the way I wrote it but I don't mess with political correctness; in my line of work somebody could die by the time the niceties had been spoken. Can we just clear this up once and for all.....the original theme for this tune is called "the Gael" and was written by Scottish songwriter/composer Dougie Maclean. It was then adapted by Trevor Jones and Randy Elfman for the "Last of the Mohicans" soundtrack and turned into this piece called "Promontory".....it is nothing to do with Enya and I wouldn't say its particularly "new age" either........there.. I feel better now...

Lets hope humanity is ready for that. We all know that trying to evolute a species to fast is the same as begging for a disaster, like giving atomic bombs to cave men. They don't need to give us anything at all, the fact we get visual and global proof that there is more life out there its a great step ahead, maybe it will make us more aware that what we do, has consequences not only for us but maybe for others. Actually, it's quite easy to accomplish the sound of a full orchestra with midi sequencers today. Everything can be layered multiple times. This sounds like it was the real deal, but, that is how Enya could get all the rich layering. I realize you are saying she isn't the composer here anyway. On the other hand...I still love her compositions even if this isn't one of hers.

I have the CD to this soundtrack, but I can't find this compilation "Promentory" as it's called on it. Of course, there's a song on there called that, but it sounds nothing like this, and is nowhere near as long. I know it's towards the very end, where they're chasing after the younger sister, and Nunca (if I remember correctly) gets killed.
Is it on the soundtrack, or not? Where can I find it and buy it?

Though this matter really isn't that big on my list of concerns. Like some of the people here who seem to get rather wound up. Like Strap above. Imagine what he must be like after a few coffees.

Enya's sister, Maire Brennen and her band Clannad performed "I Will Follow", which was used in the scene where Hawkeye and the others are trying to catch up with the captured sisters, Cora and Alice. Enya had nothing to do with LOTM.
