Way to go PC! what about MAC?

Well, I found a simple, yet elegant solution. Go to the Adobe Icon there it says Open Updater and click. You'll then be presented with some options. Unclick ALL the apps you don't want with the inclusion of having the updater show on the menu bar. DONE :D

why would you want to block adobe updater? that's pretty dumb. adobe not only releases more stable versions in their updates, but also security patches.

for 2 reasons,

it's kinda anoying, the version i have is pretty old but still good

it always pop-up at start up

if you have the illegal version of adobe, you might wanna prevent the updater blabla

@VisualDesignFX Why not just repatch the DLL's before running it again? Personally, I plan on purchasing CS5 Master Collection. I'm sure it will pay for itself 100 times over if not more before CS6 comes out.

well um I'm trying to install Ps CS4 and every time I try it tells me that it can't until I exit the program "Adobe updater" do u know how to do that? Where do I got to exit adobe updater?
