@superiliana (cont.d) ck up the butt. :) My advice, go for it. Take a beginning modern (or contemporary) class. It is ALWAYS an option to "take it down a level." Instead of turning, you can hold, instead of doing two turns, do one, etc. People who dance would much rather watch a clean, passionate performance which has less turns and leaps that a preoccupied, messy dance that has complicated moves. @superiliana I danced modern for a while before I started ballet. I'm not going to lie, having some of the technique from ballet helps with modern. On the other hand, I actually felt that I could connect more with the modern movements BEFORE i started taking ballet. My turns and leaps were sloppier, but I was so much more in tune with feeling the piece as opposed to getting every move right. If you are worried about technique, I would recommend a jazz-based technique class. It's a lot less...sti

This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Especially the girl. I don't know who she is, but you can feel this huge overpowering emotion through her dance that is so amazing it can make you cry with joy. This is ultra lovely. I think they should use this as an example for So You Think You Can Dance kids.And I think all kids should see this type of dance.

Does anybody know the music from 2:43-4:10? That is some of the most beautiful music compiled together. And the dance, oh my god! Ever since I first saw this, a month ago, I have not stopped watching.

I am an actor and I would like to think that I have a fine appreciation for the arts. I love what I do and I would not do it if I didn't truly love it. I have seen a lot of pieces of work in my life and this is hands down my favorite. It has moved me in ways nothing else ever has before. Thank you!

By the way, I'm an actor, too. I do musical theatre. I've found that, in regards to all of my theatrically cultivated philosophies of emotion, character, and aesthetics, these two -- Nastja and Michal -- are hands down my favorite choreographers of all time.
