hello... im playing this piece for my audition.... any advice to give me?

start sloooow, make sure you pay close attention to the rhythms, and don't rush once it's up to speed. Slower and cleaner actually sounds faster to an audience than fast and sloppy. And to make sure you're keeping on tempo and not rushing, you should probably practice with a metronome. These are things that help me all the time so I hope they'll be useful!

now im having problems with the triplets on the 1st variation.... how do u practice the triplets?

i actually find it easier to double tongue them, and it sounds a lot better if you can manage it

That was really good. You oned the triple tounging section. I'd work on the 1st and 2nd double tounging sections if I were you, they were kind of shaky. But hey not many people can play that as well as you did. Btw is that a shepherds crook because there is a video of Wynton Using a shepherds crook cornet as well.

I was playing on a Weril cornet that does have a small shepards crook. I wasn't really used to playing my cornet in the room I was in and I'll admit it took me a while to get used to the sound. I'm glad you liked it though

Except for the few cracked notes that we all struggle with this was pretty good! I fiddle around with this but I'm not good enough at triple tonguing to really play it any good.

pretty much any sheet music store will have it. there's a book of arban piano accompaniments that has this in it. you might have to buy the trumpet part to get the piano part on it's own though.
