  • I love EVERY version of this :)

  • @carolineburns Yes! There is no bad remix of this track.

It's not often that every remix is as good as the original.

  • For me it's when the house beat finally comes in at the 1:00 minute mark and a few bars later you get the first sweeping trance synth

  • Yeah definetely the best mix of this track. Masterpiece.

  • fuck oakie! hail sasha!

  • SASHA @ HOMELANDS 1999

  • I personally think that both Orkidea and Leama & Moor mixes are better ;)

    Legendary track and remix nontheless

  • @phazzzy Yeah I live the build up melody at the half way point on Orkidea's mix, makes it my favourite remix of Stage One

  • @phazzzy I like all the mixes, but yes the Orkidea remix is truly exceptional.

I'd love to have the CD "Taika", but it's VERY rare (and expensive)...

  • God I love this tune. I remember hearing this so long ago....

  • Totally in deep space....Abandoned....

  • One of the all-time trance classics!

I still remember, this track brought in the year 2000 for me on Radio 1 (UK).

I search for tracks like this to this day, and you know what?

If you look hard enough, you will find them.

I am glad that trance is still very much alive in 2010.

  • best mix of this track! one of Tilts best mixes!

  • @markj8e

No way this is the best mix of this track! I don't think any of the remixes of Stage one come close to the Total Separation mix. Pariah's Shadow Lounging Mix, Pariah's Banjo Mix, Tilt's remix, and the Solar Stone Remix were all completely eclipsed by the Total Separation mix . . . John Graham at his finest!

And the original Tilt (Parks/Wilson/Graham) did much better remixes (i.e. - Dream Universe, the Courtyard mix of Children, and the Red Dawn remix of The Eve of The War).

  • Andy Moor... =]

  • I remember hearing this for the first time back in 2005 on Paul Oakenfold's 1999 Radio 1 Essential Mix World Tour. I need to add this track to my collection.

  • fucking great tune!!!

  • What an absolute tune this was! I wish most current trance sounded as good as this, takes me back to a time that I was in love with this kind of music. Just too good! :D

  • @PrimeM92

i agree...is like there telling you a story that keeps getting beter n better...it sucks todays trance is cheesy shit

  • Actually 12/10

  • 10/10

  • 5:17 is where this remix simply blows away the others. Truly epic when Oakey dropped this one at Gatecrasher, way back in 99.. Over 10 years ago and it still gives me chills :D

  • @cmcgee72 I like that set 2 my favorite tranceset

  • @cmcgee72 Id spend a few thousand to go back in time for that party. my first dance music dj set ive ever heard!!

  • @cmcgee72 Love that 99 Gatecrasher mix...to this day!!

  • @tjmackey432 Same here. :)

I remember sharing that mix with a couple of friends years back and both of them got back to me the same day with roughly the same thing to say: "Holy F*ck! He's f*cking insane!! :D
