Obviously the damn Gayvette is going to win. Since you're a retard let me do the math for you. 3495-3147=380, that's 348 more pounds the Porsche is dealing with. 505-480=25, 25 less horsepower is really a lot of horsepower, if you think about it. Although the 911 is AWD, it still won't remain constant in speed like the Gayvette does.

I am a C6Z owner and I think both cars are awesome. If I had the money I'd have both. Both are very quick and are pretty evenly matched on a track. Check Nurburgring times ..Both cars did extremely well. My only complaint would be the interior on my vette, although its nice, with the nav and leather, it could have been done a little better, but I bought it for the Peformance and price and reliability. I wish the porsche was priced similar,but your paying for the name as well .

Its a track car. It's Porsche's goal to make a car that is fast around corners. Although it would depend on the track. Around the Ring the Z06 would win for the fact of the straits. But around a tight course the Porsche would get him.

Put them on a small track with tight corners and not many straits or short straits and the Porsche wins. The Ring has a strait that is nearly 2 miles so yes the vette gets its chance there. alot of the ring is tight corners. it get's it's reputation for being so diverse, it's the most equal place to test a car because it throws them into an even fire pit of high and low speed handling, and if the turbo was as good as you make it out to be, which it is not, then it would beat it's opponent, which it can't.

Porsche has over 28000 victories under various motorsports, so how again does Porsche not dominate racing? I like corvettes, I do, they make the only true American Muscle/Sports car, but they are still way behind Porsche on many levels.

911 turbo's suspension is a compromise, are you that ignorant to see. even on their stiffest setting it's supporting parts like sway bars aren't strong enough to give it that handling.
a vette is a compromise as well, then their is the Z06 and ZR1. a 911 turbo is built for comfort with a sporty ride. not a track weapon
You are right about the Turbo with it being built for more comfort compared to the GT2 and GT3, but regardless of which 911 we talk about, ALL cars are compared to the respective 911 (or Boxster/Caymen) in which they compete with. They may be better in some areas, but there is a reason why Porsche owns the benchmark of performance and has for a while. Especially the fact that most of their cars are only 6 cylinders, and yet compete with 10 and 12 cylinder engines.

Obviously the damn Gayvette is going to win. Since you're a retard let me do the math for you. 3495-3147=380, that's 348 more pounds the Porsche is dealing with. 505-480=25, 25 less horsepower is really a lot of horsepower, if you think about it. Although the 911 is AWD, it still won't remain constant in speed like the Gayvette does.

I am a C6Z owner and I think both cars are awesome. If I had the money I'd have both. Both are very quick and are pretty evenly matched on a track. Check Nurburgring times ..Both cars did extremely well. My only complaint would be the interior on my vette, although its nice, with the nav and leather, it could have been done a little better, but I bought it for the Peformance and price and reliability. I wish the porsche was priced similar,but your paying for the name as well .

Before it was understood that it would be a different story as long as it wasn't in a drag race, now it includes the Nurburgring. According to Car & Driver, 07 997 AWD is .97gs & 07 Z06 is .99 gs. They also say the 997 is quicker in the 1/4 & some say faster from 60-160, guess this one isn't though, huh? Could be the drivers, but to be beaten THAT badly? That isn't all it was.

Put them on a small track with tight corners and not many straits or short straits and the Porsche wins. The Ring has a strait that is nearly 2 miles so yes the vette gets its chance there. Either way its a Chevy... The only two American cars worth having are Ford Gt and the ZR1...

alot of the ring is tight corners. it get's it's reputation for being so diverse, it's the most equal place to test a car because it throws them into an even fire pit of high and low speed handling, and if the turbo was as good as you make it out to be, which it is not, then it would beat it's opponent, which it can't.

top gear says the z06 is so stiff, it's not that great to drive around.
the zr1 is barely better around tracks than the z06.

You are right about the Turbo with it being built for more comfort compared to the GT2 and GT3, but regardless of which 911 we talk about, ALL cars are compared to the respective 911 (or Boxster/Caymen) in which they compete with. They may be better in some areas, but there is a reason why Porsche owns the benchmark of performance and has for a while. Especially the fact that most of their cars are only 6 cylinders, and yet compete with 10 and 12 cylinder engines.
