This video make me cry. I still have my OSI account, but can not play cos EA just ruin game so much and destroy every single fun we was have before. Then they bring new "imbuing" skill in to the game, this is probably the day then the all hope die. Thank you for posting this movie. UO is not just a game. I remember the anticipation I had bringing home that black box in late '97. It reminded me of how excited I got as a little kid when it snowed and I couldn't get my snow clothes on fast enough to get outside and play. I was pleased to find out that the game met my expectations and then some! I was so dorky I met my g/f in-game. Should have married her. Other people on my shard did this. Left their spouses and moved half way across the country to be with their UO lovers.

just got a subscription to this game and wow i love it nothing like it i have a boat. a BOAT i love it HAHA getting a house next so much to do in this game. even the little things like chess and checker boards.

@sduhguitar Ya, it's an amazing game. When it first came out, it was much better, though. The golden years between '97-2000 were the best times for UO. I haven't played on official shards since about 2001, though...

Man what happened to mmorpg? They all revolve around leveling up now. Some of the funnest times i had in UO were just talking to people outside the bank. I also remember i was a pretty big asshole and would scam people, i.e selling runebook that were actually empty. God i was an asshole :P, but thats what made the game so awesome. Sure you'll get fucked over sometimes and it will be frustrating, but thats what makes it so great. Then EA caved into the complaints of a small minority...

UO back in the 1997-1999 ERA was the best and most fun MMORPGs could possibly be. I tell myself it was because i was a kid, but really no game captures the thrills of Ultima Online. PvE, skills, looting, CUSTOMIZATION- MAKIGN YOURSELF UNIQUE.. Jesus youd think someone would replicate it.

@spawnsc Aye, UO was probably the best, most epic game ever. I loved UO and no MMO has been able to compete yet. Dark Age of Camelot was good, WoW is horrible, WAR I'd give a 4/10... but UO is the one that stands out. I don't think I'll ever appreciate any MMO again because of how awesome UO was back in it's golden years.

This is a great freeshard. Sure there are lots of assholes, but you learn how to adapt. Just like the real second age was, you had to go find your own way to make the game fun. Keep searching, youll find a group or a play style that suits you.

Sorry guys t2a UO is gone, stop living in the past. A server of 99% misanthropes that play to ruin everyone elses fun doesn't work, all the nice players and rpg'ers are playing an EQ1 clone now, it'll never be the same (admit it, pk'ing, betraying and stealing from those players is what made it fun). You don't get a satisfying reaction when it's just other assholes trying to r0xx0r other assholes.

I guess that's why the server needs 'EVENTS' to keep it going, it's not ever era accurate.

You are pointing out obvious reasons that don't even need to be said. MMORPG's can never be fully cloned to an original state, which common sense could tell you that. Just because you don't like something does not mean that others do not like it as well. In fact, I was never an EQ fan. UO was my game. You'll find those types of assholes everywhere, though. The only reason it is the way it is is because of no managing of macroing AFK players. Reds are amazingly easy to create now.
