In my opinion Modding is a fair response to how money grubbing microsoft is, they make their drives so critical to make sure nobody is trying to screw them out of money but it leaves us gamers at a loss, the occasional damage incured by shipping games to all locations happens alot and when your stuck with a warped or scratched new game nobody wants to buy it back

when returning games to the stores they always scrutinise your disc and they have a back up 360 to test and make sure they still

So i sold my broken xbox to a computer repair guy for 100 dollars, and i spent another 200 dollars for a USED and refurbushed 360

now im looking for a way to back up my games just in case they get all scratched up, 360s are finicky and one little tiny scratch an mean that your game is pretty much gone.

its not that im a cheap ass but i dont want to have to constantly RE buy games

OMG seriously we dont want to be cheap, but not all xbox 360 drives are infallible and you cant always keep your games from getting scratched, some of us are just looking for a way to back up our games.

I bought a 360 for 300 dollars in the begining and i got armored core!! but i put the disc in and it was eaten scratched up by my 360, after about a year i got Fed up with all my games getting scratched up, i asked microsoft to fix it, but its been a year so they want 100 dollars.

Method to determine version is to look through the hole in the front of the DVD drive that is visible when the faceplate has been removed.

Circuit board and red wire= Samsung Black plastic divot = Hitachi White wires and empty space = Benq
