Stevie Ray Vaughan, David Gilmour, Joe Bonamassa, b.b king, mark knopfler, slash,.....are a few ofthe best "feel" players/ lick phrasers in the world in my opinion, they knoe how to write a memorable solo not just about fast notes....they put their aside and write what fits

@shadowknight132 that comes down to personal taste, I could just have well said Jason Becker, Joe Satriani or thousands of other guitarists too. Personally I prefer Guthrie's music over Shawn's.

@guitarnoize In my humble opinion, Shawn Lane is almost boring. Watching GGovan is too funny. GG is a very, very good guitar player, but not so very, very good musician. Satriani is amazing, but a little over rated. I love Satch's tones and frugality in a Chicken Foot cd... Andy Johns, rulez!
