But a better solution would to educate youth about drugs and their dangers, showing people the results of using drugs, and improve employment and living standards so that drugs aren't wanted.

It does have facts. Who says it's a lie? You? From your personal experience? One person? As a matter of fact I got my information from the Addiction Help Line section titled "Addiction to Marijuana" which has health risks as well as addiction treatment listed.

But no, not only from my personal experience... the fact that there's always been a percentage of university students who smoke weed and still pass exams tells me that it's nowhere near as bad as you make out. I have seen how Alcohol can tear up a family in a snap. Just like hard drugs, it is so sad to watch a family crumble and be terrorized by alcoholic parents that are out of control.
As someone who has never touched illegal drugs before (marijuana shrooms etc) I can tell you alcohol is way worse than those drugs. Especially when you try to come down from heavy usuage.
From my 1st drink at age 17 I KNEW I was in love with Alcohol. (I come from a family of highly functional alcoholics.) I was always a "good" alcoholic. I Self-Medicated for my stress and social anxiety. As a "Happy Drunk" most people close to me were probably happy that I did drink. Health problems caused me to stop drinking at age 52 (Thanks to AA!).
In spite of what many say; AA does work, but only for people who REALLY want to quit. If you are NOT ready to quit nothing will work!
I heard that he had the idea for this tour to get away from his wife and children after he started drinking again, which is why it's called "weapons of self destruction" - I can see it, a little bit.
(Also, they do make a drug that lets you drink and not get drunk, sort of. AA hate it.)
One of the keys to healthy ongoing recovery is good humour .. the ability to laugh at oneself & at active past practise of whatever addition grabs your fancy. From my 1st drink at age 17 I KNEW I was in love with Alcohol. (I come from a family of highly functional alcoholics.) I was always a "good" alcoholic. I Self-Medicated for my stress and social anxiety. As a "Happy Drunk" most people close to me were probably happy that I did drink. Health problems caused me to stop drinking at age 52 (Thanks to AA!).
In spite of what many say; AA does work, but only for people who REALLY want to quit. If you are NOT ready to quit nothing will work!

I heard that he had the idea for this tour to get away from his wife and children after he started drinking again, which is why it's called "weapons of self destruction" - I can see it, a little bit.
(Also, they do make a drug that lets you drink and not get drunk, sort of. AA hate it.)
