After watching the commercial for the new S60 I decided to go see it in person. While there also saw the new C70. To my dismay the interior is awful. Very dated and "Scandinavian" simple yes.. but just so boring. The materials felt very cheap and the fit wasnt justified for a 40k+ car. I guess Volvo is still aimed at a more older gen/women drivers? Shame cause I really wanted to own a 300hp awd S60.

I demoed this car last week! and for bang for the buck with its inclusive 5 year 60k warranty and complimentary maintenance plan its very high on my list! I checked out the Beemer and Mercedes both our $10k more and have fallen even farther in current Consumers reports abyss for reliability Hmmmmmm, & I dont feel like spending $350 just for a simple oil change on either car.......

Test-drove one of these yesterday (the D5 manual version). Whilst not a patch on the 3.0d Jag XF I was very impressed with the handling and power of the S60...just a shame the cabin is so cluttered.

Hugely overpriced motor regardless of its reasonable and that is all it is, reasonable looks, it is certainly not worth what you will pay for it. Its a rep mobile, with a price tag, you know the type, the Jones's, Smiths, buttheads,lol. Like BMW 3-series, Mercedes-Benz C series, just plain boring overpriced, overrated crap,lol.

@Oskedud No please dont,hehe!!. I am not normally bothered by a new launch vehicle, but this one actually annoys me. Really because I believe it is overpriced and actually looks pretty basic, as do 3-series, C-Class, etc, etc. You know, you do know that Fords and Vauxhalls are as good build quality, and far more realistically priced, bar the Mondeo, which is another overpriced motor,hehe.

@TheWhiskeyhead Is that why they was just taking the piss out of the S60 on Watchdog about 20minutes ago then?. Overpriced, and yes Vauxhall and Ford are as good as Volvo. It is severely overpriced, period. If you are mugg enough to purchase a T6 version as an example at £37k, what other vehicles do you think you can have that are far superior to drive?. I can think of several, Jaguar XF, BMW 5-Series, Mercedes-Benz E?. I wonder which one I would have, for sure a Jaguar XF. Get real pal.
