Good shows like this always get under appropriated especially ones made by Manglobe like Michiko to hatchin and of course Samaria Champloo( which i believe should at least had more than one season).

I like this anime the art is like your really feeling the Edo style, the music is fitting, the characters are okay still could use some development. I love the plot so far,but I feel it has gone as far as it need s to and i'm starting to get impatient. I love this anime though. I love The Tatami Galaxy better though!:D

Every time they italicize the honorifics in the subtitles, I have a moment of thinking it's sarcastic. And they misused 'allure'.

But this is a good show, and the translation is pretty good otherwise. I love how the language used is all period-appropriate -- plenty of 'de gozaru' and such, and no loan-words. The animation style is also wonderful -- I don't think I've ever seen eyes drawn like that outside of a very few manga.

I love the music. It's so calming. My favorite piece was the "Lu lu" Ladies. When Ume was sitting and drinking Sake. It's a nice piece.

I can't believe this didn't occur to me sooner, but the episode titles are usually set up whenever Ichi says a line after the intro theme or whenever someone refers to Ichi. Can't figure out though what the titles have to do with the episodes themselves (except for maybe this episode). Also I REALLY like how Funimations puts the time to translate the credits in the opening so I can the staff in the show. That's something that most fansubbers don't even bother to do.

This is a good anime show. I like how the art style is; yet it is dark like most manglobe projects. However this is a very surrealistic show on culture in Japan at that time it is interesting and look forward to whatever Funimation displays next.
