Interesting, but it lacks the dynamic frenetic pace needed. The cutting is uneven, and the pacing way off. Nice images though ;)

How I would do it is Start off quiet... While showing the LucasFilm logo Vader's breathing starts and it slowly shows the scene where the smaller Imperial Star Destroyers start to be covered by the shadow of the Main Imperial vessel. Then flash to Vader standing in the carbon chamber where he says the Force is with you young skywalker then continues little clips of various actions scenes then You see the Empire strike back logo and hear vader saying "If you only knew the power of the dark side"

i dont think this was the real trailer from 1980....its got to be from the re-releases or something..first..its too well made...second...it gives away the vader-father thing..

You Dope! If it's 1980, then NOBODY knows about the "I am your Father" line. How could you put in in the trailer and give the ending away? What were you thinking? Do you even know who Jimmy Carter is? This trailer only works if you ALREADY know the movie. In 1980, Nobody but George Lucas had a clue.

i have to say this is not that good, to be honest. for the most part, or at least until 1:40, there were only two sounds, the dialogue and the music. nothing else. that was rather odd to say the least. you proved after 1:40 that you can include background sound like the saber and the noise, but you didnt include it in the first part. and i have to agree that you shouldn't have included the father-son revelation thing. this is a trailer, not a spoiler. nice effort, poor execution. 5/10 stars.

Even though you gave away the biggest twist of the whole saga at the end of the trailer, it was at least done in a very suspenseful way. Plus, there should have been a bit more dialogue to go along with some of those scenes. I give it a solid 8. Nicely done.

Bad. This gives away Yoda and I`m your father! People are supposed to be shocked beyond belief when they see this. The trailer shoudln`t blow the whole thing!! But great job though!!!! 5 stars!!!(and this was a long time ago)
