I use Ms Pinky, it's a timecoded vinyl with software designed for scratching video.
Check it out. A real hands on company that actually responds to you if you have any queries or problems.
I don't consider myself a good turntablist, but I did post a video response to this, just to show an option for video scratching. Cut Chemist rocks this! Such a great idea, well executed.
Does anyone know how you can video scratch. I've been looking into it but i can't find any information on it im wondering what kinda programs and or equipment you need. I have serato and turntables and a macbook
youhert its felling when you call it names like in sain
i want to hook up a red one camra to that and cut the video on and of as i move the cross fader we may very whell be in the stone age with this but i am no longer a stonger somkae it happen.. relly it willbe called on off back forword.
niente di eccezionale,e' il classico nuovo pioneer dvj ....... pivelli! e' piu' l'idea che conta e questo lo possono fare tutti con 2 mila euro a disposizione e un po' di pratica scratch
For those interested in "scratching video" like this. The software that does this is virtualdj dot com and the other software is mixvibes. I am using virtualdj
This is impressive! I think he's using the Pioneer DVJ-X1 DVD players to do this (they are $3000 a piece!). Now there is software that lets you do this with TURNTABLES with time code vinyl records which I am trying to do this with tomorrow! Wish me luck!
wicked cool but that wasnt a first time ever... though i saw him do at electric picnic at the start of september...actually im not sure if the vidoe thing was done but the voices were... ahhh who cares its well cool!!
ohhh i knew that... i was just saying he done it before... but it was just the voice clips.. sorry for my mistake.. saw the footage of the one i saw again earlier today
saw him do that at electric picnic too... Was absolutely amazing. Except one of the blokes he got to do it was some weird sounding guy from Cork who nobody could understand... especially cut chemist. Still made it sound great though

He literally scratched a DVD of footage he recorded on stage 2 minutes prior, not old footage, not random VJ clips.
