It takes intellect to speak, compose writings, present prophetic speeches, argue with the prophets of Baal, present to the Greek philosophers, discuss (young Jesus) with the theologians in the temple, teach Timothy proper theology, teach Nicodemous, use apologea (1 Peter 3:15), love God with your mind, etc. My ways are not your ways refers to the unbeliever (context).

@raideragent King David stripped off naked and danced spontaneously in front of the ark of the convenant, because he knows that God was with him...singing to God with new songs and dancing are BIblical...the Apostle Paul and Silas were in prison...they sang hymns and God freed them from captivity...the true Jesus didnt come to create a religion but connect us relationally...praise and worship is one way of reconnecting with God, freely without constraints...because Jesus freed us on the cross :)

Just like there are women/ men etc etc conferences. Theyre not making this music for only youth, its for anyone that wants to worship god and be lead into his presence no matter what age. !! so go for it:D!!!
Interesting comments about older people and music. I have to say That even in the secular mainstream market don't we all listen to the New stuff? I mean most radio does play the new stuff...so them it would make sense to keep the music current...the focus are the young at heRt I suppose, which I think we all should be and never grow old
I am always wary when a leadership actively bars older worshippers from a service. Young or old, we are one in Christ Jesus if we are His, and His Word is not of any private interpretation.And if during the service, prophetic utterance comes forth, the prophet is subject to the prophets(does the utterance line up with the Living Word of God) Our heavenly Father is blessed to see fathers(mothers),young men( women)and dear children in the Lord Jesus(1st John1) worshipping in Spirit and in Truth.
