  • Let me make one thing clear....the ONLY REAL Black Sabbath incarnation was the Ozz, Tony, Geezer, and Bill. NO ONE ELSE deserves to use the name Black Sabbath or sing those songs than those four men. Black Sabbath ended at Never Say Die! (Though it was a horrible album). BUT....they are back! The legendary and real incarnation of the great BLACK FUCKING SABBATH IS BACK!!! LONG LIVE BLACK SABBATH!!!! \m/

  • @TheRailroadRadio ... wat? u r going into every ozzy sabbath posting your pathetic views on who the real sabbath is or not? dude get a fucking life. it dont matter how many time you post, millions of people and musicians also recognize other line ups as sabbath. you sorry ass fag! now go and suck ozzy's raggedy assshole.

  • It is one of the greatest tragedies in music that the Tony Martin era of Black Sabbath is so unknown and overlooked. Martin should be worshiped as a legend alongside Ozzy and Dio, but almost nobody's even heard of him. It pisses me off when people say "Ozzy IS Sabbath!" Ozzy helped write maybe two songs out of eight albums. I love him, but there's more to Sabbath than Ozzy. Every member brought something to the music. Martin is just as good a singer, if not better in some ways, than Dio.

  • @TheUnbreakableOtaku He was more THE VOICE of Sabbath, Dio was just too LIGHT for my taste but some of his stuff with Sabbath was great ill give him that

  • it is Tony's band whether people like it or not. They original would never -EVER- be beaten, but let's be fucking be glad that they keep the greatest music ever written alive. Or would you rather just listen to the new bullshit that they're trying to put up our ears? NO right, so let's enjoy these masterpieces in communion.

  • Tony Martin was very under-rated. They put out some great stuff with him.

  • tony martin sucks cock

  • Out of all the replacements they put in after Dio left, I think this guy did the best job.

  • they just hasn't the essence of Black Sabbath... not everybody can tell that... So sad..

  • Nobody could never beat Ozzy's ass bro... Compared with him this guy is nobody, Just don't say that kind of nonsense shit. This band just isn't Black Sabbath, Black Sabbath are just the original Members.. About the how dark and deep is the sound... Come on! how could this Formation using the name be compared with the original band? what about Electric Funeral, The Wizard, Warning, Iron Man, BLACK SABBATH, Into The Void, Children Of The Grave.. the list just goes on...

  • Tony Martin Kicks Ozzy's ass !

  • Tony Martin is a GREAT shit! he never beat Ozzy!!!!

  • Also, do u want them to try to be like ozzy? No other singers tried to be ozzy. I love the ozzy years, but Dio and Martin made Sabbath sound evil and dark. Look at the name Black Sabbath. Put Dio and Martin in front and it gives it the dark sound the band deserves. Ozzys lineup was great and original. But listen to the subject content of Ozzys version vs Dio's and Martins.

  • Every incarnation of Sabbath added something great to their history. I love every singer that came to the table. Ozzy made a different sabbath, so did Gillan. Dio made it the darker sabbath as did Martin. And I personally know Dio didn't have an Ego problem. He loved and respected sabbath. @billgeezeriommi I totally agree. Every version of Sabbath is unique and great. True fans know this.

  • @66oderus I agree entirely and would even take the idea a step further - I hope that we see more lineups from Sabbath in the future! Maybe with Jorn Lande, Hughes, Gillan, gee who knows? Kelly Carpenter? Russel Allen would be awesome. Jeff Scott Soto and Mats Levin also would be awesome. Too many awesome singers to imagine.

  • I would love to hear Martin covering Dio's tunes, I bet some of those videos are here somewhere. He seems like one of the only guys besides Dio himself who could pull it off

  • this is shit.....!!! no REALLY!

  • Fuckin badass voice

  • 3:41 First time I hear a mistake from Tony Iommi live.

  • @miralles94 Good pick up on that. Too funny. I guess he is human...maybe. Actually sounded cool though

  • whoa back in the day, i was one of the girls that peed my pant's when i heard this song!!

  • Black Sabbath is like pomme frits with salad dressing instead of ketchup... you know ? Like "WTF !? Get the fuck off the micro !" ...

  • Loving that intro piece!

  • I started listening Black sabbath from "Heaven and Hell" album, then to "paranoid" and "Master of reality"…and recentry I bought "Tyr" album. NOW I am thinking of buying their first album Because this song really chilled my spine!! Long live Black Sabbath!! Long Live Rock'n Roll!!

  • @tsrtcaster

All Sabbath is amazing - you will definitely not be disappointed by the first album. Prepare for some Ultrablues!

  • @tsrtcaster Born Again is a great one too, if you don't have that one.

  • @robfolcroft I'm thinking of buying that one too, I heard that Special edition of Born again will be on sale around June.

  • Is it played a half step down live? Sounds like it. In fact all live versions sound like it.

  • @cubby3o5 wait I might be wrong.

  • @cubby3o5 Ok I think it's just one live version I have that's actually tuned a step higher and so is my guitar I guess.

  • happy birthday heavy metal!

  • deep purple made heavy metal

  • anybody whos complaining that ozzy isnt singing isnt a true sabbath fan as long as iommis in the band its black sabbath

  • A lot of ''Ozzy-or-nothing'' fans, so? Just shut up! Black Sabbath is beyond Ozzy Osbourne, all the five vocalists did their good work, sometimes people say really stupid thins such ''Sabbath is Ozzy'', on his book he revealed that he was expelled because he lost the Sabbath's show, so where is his love for BS?

  • @ThePedrohbc If it wasnt for Black Sabbath there wouldnt be Ozzy . If it wasnt for Ozzy there wouldnt be Black Sabbath. No one absolutely no one could take the place of Ozzy. That would be like trying to replace Tony Iommi.

  • @mamasboy815 The only place for him is his solo career! What kind of band's member fight for stupid thing such as the name of BS?

  • @ThePedrohbc I am confused.Who is it that your talking about? If it's Ozzy,I think he just did what every front man, lead singer, rocker who drank to much and showed his ass at every opportunity. It's well known Iommi and his over the top ego is the reason for Ozzy's dismiss. If you notice it is now called Black Sabbath with Ozzy.So it sound's to me like Tony is the loser in his quest for fame.Everyone seems to forget Iommi's try at a solo carreer and it's failure.A whole requires individuel parts.

  • @mamasboy815 I'm talking about the band on general, and how you know so much about them if you're not ex-member or member of BS? Only THEM know what really happens, I like all band, if is with Ian Gillian, Tony Martin, Dio, Ozzy or even the blues of Glenn Hughes they gave their contribution with different styles, and I'm surprised how many people don't reconize that.

  • @ThePedrohb Well for one thing,It's not a band if it is controled by one.#2I have been not only listening too,but also following there music since the beginning. The end of Sabbath as I know it is when Richie Blackmore's chamber maid,J.Dio was chosen to replace the undeniable lyrical force of Ozzy. Not only does the record but also history, which includes viewing and noticeing the change on stage of Iommi's obvious jelousy, can one surmise where the breakup insued. There is no Sabbath fest,Iommi fest

  • @ThePedrohbc Now I was at the first concert tour of Sabbath with J.Dio as front man.It was not Black Sabbath. It was Iommi and Dio. I saw a couple hundred leave the place because of the pitiful way children of the grave was delivered. It was only somthing that a person would notice that had known and loved the music of BLACK SABBATH. Now if I was young and only a newcomer to the music I wouldnt have such a opinion. But I'me not.As far as music goes it sounds pretty good.It aint sabbath by no means

  • Check out the cover band Back Sabbath, they are a Black Sabbath cover band and they are really good, they played this song and it was amazing i watched a video of theirs on their myspace

  • it isnt the same whithout ozzy its bad actually

  • Did they ever do the songs Eternal Idol, the Kiss of Death, or The Sabbath Stones live? I think these are the best of the Tony Martin era and never heard them live.

  • Probably the best live show from this lineup that i've seen until now.

  • is it just me or are the strings are backwards?

  • @almudjk it's not just you: they are reversed. it's cause he plays left-handed.

  • I don't like Black Sabbath or Ozzy Osbourne. *dislikes*

  • @mynameisjonas45

    well, thats fine

you dont likve black sabbath and ozzy osbourne, so what?

you get a thumbs down from me because there was no point in writing that comment, you obviously just wanted attention

  • @MetalHeadFilipeG96 No, I don't want attention. Just expressing my views.

  • @mynameisjonas45

thats fine, but i dont see the point on expressing negative views on something you know you dont like, you should just not comment here at all

  • It Would Help But Coltrane Taylor is Wrong Is Bill On The Drums Im 17 And Know This

  • Sorry, but this constellation has nothing to do with Black Sabbath.

This Band should be called "Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi plus 3...people"

  • @SNAL3 tony iommi is black sabbath man

  • @SNAL3 Its sabbath to me. Name on the records say sabbath. Music is good, just as you'd hope for a sabbath album. Its sabbath.

  • Why is this that's stands befoooooore mmeeeeeeee??? WTF is that? Does he know the damn words.

  • martin is a good singer.

  • One question: Is it the keyboard intro to Ancient warrior? 0:11 - 0:28

  • Comment removed

  • this is why Iommi is my favourite guitar player of all time

  • he seems like a watered down singer trying to sing like DIO without the range or power.

  • @Alhambrattp

What does Dio have to do with this song and Martin?

  • @TurboKurva

DIO is a much better singer, songwriter, performer, stage presence, and lead for Sabbath than Martin. Also out of every Sabbath singer to date Martin does the worst versions of this great song. That's about it.

  • @Alhambrattp

Well i agree with you on Martin but dunno why drag Dio in here. He has his own songs and videos on youtube go comment there. Its not like i hate Dio but with this song i dont care about Dio.

  • HAY MAMA!!

  • gran maetro TONy IOMMI

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BS

  • JON BON JOVI SINGING??

  • Rust never Sleeps - Tony & Tony together!!!!

  • Of coz the original version is the best but i prefer martin's performance over dio's in this song

  • is it from live in Moscow?

  • he sounds like a dio-wanna-be

  • @bookworm1138 Dio without the ego. Ronnie treated Sabbath like they were his backing band early on, altho they did make up somewhat later on for Dehumanizer and the Heaven And Hell tours. Actually some of Iommi's best work can be found during the Martin/Powell years.

  • @Myuzishin I must disagree, Dio was a very humble man, hence Heaven and Hell, Iommi knew Dio was the only choice , I really doubt any other former Sabbath singers were ask to join. Mind you this is my opinion, but I'd be willing to wager money on it.

  • @bookworm1138 I guess he is better than what the great Ronnie Dio (RIP) was

  • tremendous stuff, it really is!

  • 2:29, never seen Iommi do that before, haha. He is really into it in this rendition.

  • Fucking darkness infected music:-)

  • No doubt Ozzy was part of the original birth of true metal. Dio continued a fantastic tradition (RIP man). But when you boil it down, Iommi is the man behind the curtains.

  • @MobileSpies And Geezer isn't?

  • WRONG!!!

    Stepinwolf...Born To Be Wild.

But thanks for playing.Goodnight ladies & Gentlmen!

  • @darthnemesis1 well steppenwolf were hard rock musically, if they were heavy metal then led zeppelin were too... they had the term heavy metal in their lyrics of born to be wild yes, but just because you use a term that doesn't mean you play it. it's like if you said that Helloween and Running Wild invented death metal just because they appeared in a split-release with that name... by the way steppenwolf used it referred to motorcycles anyway, read that lyrics, it's obvious.

  • surgpath, except when ozzy states that black sabbath did not create heavy metal, and also he hates it when people say that.

  • tony martin sounds great, but nothing compares to the classic and nostalgic sound of Ozzy's voice

  • this is ASTONISHING EPIC, happy birthday ! heavy metal !, BLACK SABBATH - FOREVER.................

  • Weil das einfach meine Zeit gewesen ist, in der ich im Berliner SOUND abgegangen bin!

    Jeahhhh!!!!

  • Good day for rock!

  • All the money is the expression in Tony's face when he riffed...

  • TONY IOMMI THE BEST!!!

  • I love the intro to this song. It sounds a lot like Ennio Morricone's scores from those spaghetti westerns.

  • It's No Iommi No Sabbath... If you don't like Tony Martin, what the hell are you people doing here???...

  • Ozzy an Tony if they stayed togeter the rock woulud changed today. The thing that sucks is that it could still happen today. Both of u get yer head out yer aress an change it.The Insane1 hase spoken ROCKNROLL!!!

  • @ThefirstDrInsane2U What planet you been living on duh? Did Idream this or what if I'm not mistaken the original Sabbath line-up played Ozz fest for a couple of years,

  • tony fuckin martin ya fuckin idiot

  • ORIGINAL Black Sabbath please!!!!!

    Ozzy is the best.

  • @astrida55 tony martin was a great vocalst,

  • @zeppsabbathozzy I don't say that he wasn't, everything is good with his vocal. I just wanted to say that no-one can perform Ozzy's era songs better than original Black Sabbath. This version of the song is very far off from the original, it loses the main idea and spirit. I can't accept it like something equal to the Ozzy's era. It's ok when those other vocalists perform their own songs with Black Sabbath, but in my opinion it's a waste of time and energy to try to sing former songs well.

  • I'm a big fan of Ozzy's era but it's very sad to see (again) so many negative comments for Tony Martin. He is one of the most underrated singers. He never took the credit he deserved. He helped Sabbath in difficult periods and with him Sabbath made 3 of their most epic albums (Headless Cross, Tyr, and Cross Purposes). Most of Ozzy's fans just deny Martin without ever listened to these albums. Well, i gave Martin's era a chance and i feel that i should have done this earlier.

    Thanks Tony...

  • This aint black sabbath...This is a tribute to black sabbath...Black sabbath do not exist without geezer butler, ward or appice, dio or ozzy

  • wtf are you saying, tony martin is the best singer sabbath ever had

  • nothing compared to the voice of Ronnie James Dio, but the point is that Ozzy's voice is an important part of Black Sabbath sound, just like the incredible sound of Toni Iommi.. (even if Ozzy's singing ability is awful)

  • This right here shows why in the late 80s and early 90s nobody took sabbath serious. Tony Martin sucks. classic sabbath with ozzy were pioneers....i just dont like this guy at all

  • I never noticed how bad ass Tony Martin was but he is still no ozzy BLACK SABBATH #1

  • bullshit

  • who is this guy , this sounds like evil pop song..

    ozzy rocks..

  • @backdoorman29 Every one of Sabbath's vocalists have more ability than Ozzy (ie: Ian Gillan, Tony Martin, Dio, Glenn Hughes). Ozzy has a unique voice, and Sabbath was great with him for a while. But they had a lot of great music after Ozzy, most people bitching about Tony Martin have never heard the 80s Sabbath.

  • you get a fukin goose bump when the bell rings..in the mp3..haha..

  • I like him in Sabbath Dio got annoying after awhile, and well Ozzy Rules.

  • diabolus in musica is in this song its the tone of the devil

  • it's in most sabbath songs. It's part of what makes their sound.

  • hmm, he sounds a bit like dio at some points

  • i remember seeing this tour.wasp opened the show i was at.i was tripping out.first time.bugged out.

  • They totally needed Geezer up there jammin' it.

  • The guy's good yeah I'm not gonna deny that but he's just not Sabbath..

  • the number one sabbath song that created the birth of heavy metal

  • This Song right here Ladies and Gentlemen is THE BIRTH OF HEAVY METAL, PERIOD!!

Please dont try and argue/debate it, because there is no argue/debate!!!

    Thank You!!!

  • A-fuckin-MEN

  • HELL YEAH!!

  • true that but not with out the ozzman

  • Of course , without a doubt!!

  • @surgpath1 agreed.......

  • @surgpath1

    Not this lineup of sabbath.

  • @surgpath1

Not with martin singing it's not.

  • @surgpath1 One could argue that Deep Purple began Heavy Metal. Although, Black Sabbath came out the same year.

  • @surgpath1 and in front of you is the man who ruined one of the best bands in the world, also known as Tony fuckin Iommi

  • @surgpath1 the real dark heavy metal

  • This is amazing! Look at Iommi smiling at 5:30 as Powell hits those drums! Martin is FABULOUS on this! As is Iommi ofcourse.

  • Tony Iommi is satan ! He is the greatest guitarist that has ever lived !

  • cade o ozzy?

  • Satan´s sitting there he´s smiling.....

  • i love at 2:23 and cranks it up and plays those first few notes!

  • Awesome. Black Sabbath rules.

  • it sounds so different with distortion..

  • woah dude, and who the fuck are you?

  • Headless cross sounds satanic to me. Ya think??

  • I hate people who say this shit is satanic and that the devil possesses them or speaks through them or some shit. It's called self expression. Their's evil and darkness in all of us. So why not express it?

  • wow.... martin has darkened it even further...

    \m/ black sabbath \m/

  • without ozzy, black sabbath aren't even close to the same his voice was heavy metal, ozzy's voice complimented iommi's guitar perfectly.

this song in particular should not be allowed to be sung by anyone but ozzy.

  • ok , I love Tony Martin but Black Sabbath sounds a little odd out of his mouth an 7:40 hahahaha how silly

  • its Sabbath but Iommi was the only original member at the time. He's the only one who has been in the band the entire time

  • Iommi Is Black Sabbath!

  • okay.. i'm just saying mmmkay i don't ummm like it without Qzzy ..like they have some big dick headish ego's they need Ozzy.

  • On the drums the great Cozy Powel.R.I.P.

  • Is it Black Sabbath or Tony Iommi only? The bassist doesn't look like Geezer Butler. I can't recognize Bill Ward.

  • you're right, they are Black Sabbath, but all original members are leaved except Tony Iommi ( that is a god ), I like Tony Iommi ( also 'cause I consider him as a god ) but I prefer the original line-up of Black Sabbath, I think that line-up is the true Black Sabbath, and will never forgotten, Ozzy's voice completely fits the Tony Iommi's guitar, hurray for Ozzy !

  • Black Sabbath reigns eternal.

  • Man that is a great version. I love martin.

  • Black Sabbath has ruled and reigned as # 1 heavy metal for 40 years...groups come and go and singers come and go, but Iommi and Sabbath are still here...goooooo Sabbath !!!

  • eh look there folks tony martin is also lefthanded

    9:17 Lefthanded air guitar rocks

  • if its not ozzy, its not sabbath. this is not negotiable.

  • ozzy is NOT the band, Iommi is...so your theory is flawed...although i think ozzy does this song the best...but if you think sabbath is shit without ozzy then your missing out on the classics they did with dio...plus ozzy is an imbecil anyways, sure his voice matched this song and the early sabbath years perfectly...but he wasnt the leader of the band and he fucked up his own lyrics up half the time on stage

  • i never said they are shit without ozzy. that would be stupid. but if its not ozzy its not black sabbath. they can be Heaven and Hell all they want and still produce great music and performances, but a BLACK SABBATH reunion includes ozzy muthafuckin osbourne

  • YEAH!

  • Wow... the first doom metal riff heard across the world.

  • there are 5 notes that are the same as call of ktulu... overall they don't sound alike... i'd hardly call it stealing...

  • haha looser without Black sabbath -> no metallica

This song came out there were the most of the metallica members in their Diapers

  • i dont give a shit what you guys say, i give iommi all the credit in the world, he kept the sabbath name alive, as did every musician who's ever been a part of sabbath, if your a true sabbath fan, then you love all era's

  • I agree with u, 100%

  • 1:47 and 2:10: Metallica's CALL OF KTULU

They stole it from Black Sabbath. Iommi always used it as intro for this song from back the 70's.

  • Actually, Dave Mustaine "stole it" Metallica recorded it and gave Dave the credit for it.

  • who is the drummer and the bassist?

  • Toni Iommi with a bunch of nobodies is not Black Sabbath. Toni Iommi with with Ozzy, Geezer and Bill is Black Sabbath, Black Sabbath with Dio is still Black Sabbath. Even Gillan could be considered Black Sabbath. But that was nothing more at this point in time then a Toni Iommi side project with some Black Sabbath songs sang in between.

  • My feels since Toni first did this back in the day.Its just his solo band with the Sabbath name help sell it.

  • Tony Martin is not a bad singer. The first three albums with him, where quit good (The Eternal Idol, Headless Cross and Tyr) bur Ozzy Osbourne and Ronnie Dio where . according to my opinion, the better front man.

  • i didnt know scott stapp sang for sabbath!

  • This is "Black Sabbath", from the first album by Black Sabbath.. I was young when it came out and was blown away... This version, however good it may be, is missing something VERY!! vital.. Ozzy's voice... It doesn't even come close to the original version... but still pretty cool!

  • youre right. ossy's voice is just PERFECT for the dark titone sound. this bloke just over does the vocals. its a brooding song.... not some operatic piece. more is less in this case because the gaps in lyrics are for you to think and imagine what it is painted for you lyrically.

  • "more is less in this case because the gaps in lyrics are for you to think and imagine what it is painted for you lyrically."

YES!!!!! I can see that YOU understand Black Sabbath and most importently, THIS song, so cool :) Tony Martin kills the dark atmosphere, imho.. The simplicity in the way Ozzy sang it, was perfect!!! for Black Sabbath..

  • Comment removed

  • the song is black sabbath the band is black sabbath! my god im only a 13 year old girl and I know more than some of you do! sabbath forever! and philiprocks2009 you lived through the fuckin time! you should know! i didnt even live through the time and I know!

  • Fucking travesty, that singer.

  • how to make yourself look
