  • This phone call sounds more like a CB radio transmission gone wrong. Plus, why does Kissinger sound like Arnold Schwarzenegger over the phone? XD

  • .. right, i see nothing about the states controlling anything in that definition... all im saying is that to believe that all socialism leads to democide... seems ridiculous. do you agree? its easy to look at nazi germany and say socialism is bad... but what about nordic countries? btw, maybee capitalism is freedom.. but americas economic system is far from free market capitalism.

  • i agree waffen ss should have been allowed to finish dirty work

  • kissinger war criminal

  • Y'know ol Dick could have actually won the war if it hadn't been for the congress passing the war powers resolution since as we all know as a fact the left's only reason for existing is to be the pimple on the ass of this nation that never seems to go away. But we got a love for commies like we got a love for our ex wives, don't we? Matter of fact, some of us like to think the red stripes on the flag are for commies to embrace. A wonder ol Dick ever walked off that Great Wall in one piece.

  • Could of won the Vietnam war, Should of won... Didn't.

  • We had Vietnam won, Kissinger is a traitor.

  • It probably would have been better if the Soviets were defeated by Germany in 1941. Hitler had a soft heart for the British Empire in the first place. The Soviets had all intentions to occupy the west. Barbarosa was a nescesity to stave off the communists. If Britain would have agreed to peace in 1940 with Germany The world would be a nicer place to live in today.

  • @bearing44 are you really serious? Oh yes, the world would have been fantastic under Hitler and Tojo. Nice. Go learn some history.

  • @bearing44 Might be...there wouldn't have been an Israel ,(almost the main cause of the current tension in the world)because of the combined guilt trip of the allied victors. But then, Hitler was the personification of evil, he just couldn't be pacified.

Imagine yourself living in a country with such a demon dictator. That whole NSDAP top was comprised of Nasi loonies. They just had to be stopped. They might have had the atom bomb before the U.S.

  • Nixon sounds like a son-of-a-bitch, how the hell did he become president?

  • The US people wanted an end to vietnam, so they voted for the other party.

  • Let's stop glorifying JFK. If you want to condemn anyone, condemn JFK for starting the war. He was a staunch Anti-Communist and he abused the Executive Priviledge as much as any Republican President you want to condemn.

  • Sure, JFK should have never gotten into this war. Then the most of the world would have been taken over by Communists. Then nuclear war would have occured, and then you never exist. Yeahhhhh, lets never have gotten involved in this war, yeaaaah.

  • excuse me, didn't know Viet Nam was the world. We lost the war anyway, so what happened to the nuclear war & worldwide Communism?

  • @up2space -it is STILL a threat-and more of a threat now than it was then.Communist China owns major interests in our Country.North Korea has a Nuclear program that is increasing it's capabilities daily, our image around the world is growing weaker. When I remark about China's major interest in our Country, people say,China are our allies! To that I say this.China's economy relies in the USA.Now that the US economy has shit the bed, eventually they are going to want to collect-what we will give them?

  • @KLUNKET We already have a plicie of keeping China out of our areas of interest, Bush made sure they never will get a foot hold in the Middle East and Africa.

  • @KLUNKET i agree with you. everyone knows that China is the up & coming economy in the near future. and they own the usa, loosely speaking. what's more, they don't give a crap about any round eye and when they get their imperial boot on our souls, expect no mercy from these sloped eyed heathens. as for me, i could care less about china, and making them democratic. they are part of & probably run by the nwo anyway as we know it was the "nwo" who created the communist revolution.

  • @up2space well said, i totally agree they are really our enemy, they harbour total contempt for us and have ambitions of globally throwing off round eye world oppression and domination as they see it. they're angry for the historic injustices and downtrodden situation they were subjected to under white imperialism from the british and economically and politically through us. the time is fast approaching where the veil will fall & outright war will occur a year from now at most. we must win it.

  • @mikefan09 @up2space Yeah, let's get ready to shoot the dicks off some gooks and spray their rice paddies with Agent Orange so we can save the future of our round eyed sons and daughters! Where do I sign up, boys?

  • @Mengele4444 ahahahaha LMAO! lol! nicely said, but we been there, done that. next round is gonna be nuclear, doubt it will be easy to recognise a winner for a while, everything's gonna look like a freshly napalmed vietnamese combat zone! see your local marine recruting station, or

    w w w dot yougagemwebagem dot com

    oh, google : anglo-saxon mission

  • @mikefan09 right-a-rooney!

  • 'We're gonna win this, whatever the cost'. Sounds familiar. Presidents who are convinced of their own righteousness, regardless of the human toll. Both rained death down civilians and showed little contrition, at least publicly.

  • it does sound familiar, sounds like Churchill

and confidence is not a sin, Nixon was of course right about communism being a horrible evil, just as Kennedy did and pretty much everyone at the time knew

  • Tetrytol, you do realize that there was nothing vaguely resembling freedom of speech or religion in the USSR and that the USSR brutally put down uprisings in Eastern Europe and for that matter any form of dissent at home? Why don't you read up on Stalin's purges. While you're at it, how about learning about the KGB and Soviet gulags.

  • I know about the KGB.

But don't say that America started the war because Stalin wasn't good to his people. I mean, today they are still a lot of countries were there isn't freedom of speach nor religion. Like China, Mao killed millions of Chinese, no problem. Chineese can't google things like freedom, aids, .... no problem...

  • You, Tetrytol, are the one who first equated communism and the USSR. It was not Vietnam or Cuba after all that stopped the Nazis! It is interesting that you picked two very impoverished nations to illustrate how "fine" communism is. If you want to see the difference between Communism and Capitalism take a good look at North and South Korea. Same people, same place, very different standards of living and protections of rights and freedoms.

  • I was indeed the first to compare communism to the USSR, sorry for that.

And it is obvious that communism didn't work for a lot of countries. But the idead behind communism is noble and it worked for some countries.

Point is: no system is perfect and saying that communism is evil is seeing things only black or white (don't know if they use that expression in english, i'm dutch). While the truth is somewhere in between.

  • I do agree that calling communism evil is not the best way to describe it. It papers over nuance and variation. However, people tend to be worse off under communist systems and to have less freedoms than in a democracy. In this regard, there is something wrong with communism as it plays out in real life. Yes, the ideals of communism are better than their actual application. I would prefer to say that they are naive, though, rather than "noble" (not to mention exploitative uses by demagogues).

  • I think that people are worse off under communist systems because in general they are less wealthy and less developed.

And maybe communism doesn't work out in real life and is naive. The other option is capitalism that obviously has disadvantages too ...

  • Except Cuba and Vietnam turned into economic basket cases once they adopted Communism. Vietnam has recently emerged as a prosperous nation due to its embrace of the free market (not unlike China) but Cuba remains mired in the same dismal state its been in for fifty years. The US embargo is only a part of it.

  • @Tetrytol more evil ,that is !

  • @rmm413c

I think where u go wrong is equating stalinism to communism.

Mr. Communism himself Trotsky, the left hand of Lenin was killed by Stalin.

Communism is essentially communes of people owning the means of production, has nothing to do with gulags or the KGB.

Look up peak oil, Cuba is the model of an post oil world.

  • Well, Stalin killed 20 million of his own people... and over 100 million were killed during the 20th century in the name of worldwide communism.

Those who survived under communist regimes were for the most part-- slaves.

Is that good reason enough ?

  • @kellymich why dont you criticize capitalism? you know how many it's killed? al ot more and counting.

  • @seigneurvoland666 socialism kills, capitalism is freedom

  • @aguyfromTennessee ... all socialism means is that the means of production are not privately owned... how does this kill? capitalism often kills...for example, a victim who doesnt have health insurance.

  • @devinthrash Capitalism is simply defined as the individual reaping the full fruits of his labors. Socialism is defined by the state stealing the peoples capital to used for their own devices.

Socialism kills, because in that system, you are relegated to nothing more then a product of the state filling their means. If you are unproductive the state has the power to do with you as they wish, because you are DEPENDENT on them. Nazi Germany, and the Soviet Union were socialist states.

  • @aguyfromTennessee no, nazi germany was a national socialist country and the soviets were communists. some socialists dont even believe in state control... like the early anarcho syndicalists of spain... nah mean?

  • @devinthrash Socialism: a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.

The nazis were national SOCIALIST. Socialism is precommunism, because the state eventually exceeds it authority in order to make collectivization possible. In socialism, the economic AND political system must be reorganized taking powers from the individual *continue...

  • *continued ... in favor of the state. Such as the Ukranian genocide in the late 30's.

  • @aguyfromTennessee Well we're movign back to feudalism then.

  • @HoGraz Question: How would you feel if the government decided to take your house and "redistribute" it to a poor family even after you have worked and struggled to pay off its mortgage all your life? Would that be fair to you?

  • @aguyfromTennessee That's never going to happen. The inverse will happen though. Take when housing market bubble popped. Now banks are giving out reverse mortgages. They benefit. This was shortly after the reversal of the Glass Steagall Act signed in by FDR a democrat and abolished under Clinton a Blue Dog Democrat. Now tell me who's redistributing the wealth. We might as well have a command economy at this point.

  • @aguyfromTennessee Think about the people that lost their houses who got them from guys like Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. It's amazing how people attack the poor. It wasn't they're fault at all, but it's easy to solidify public opinion that somehow poor folks are all lazy and moochers. Just cause lots of people are self centered and soulless doesn't mean people who have been blocked out of life and society are always too.

  • @aguyfromTennessee That is beautiful that definition. Have you ever given it thought that "Socialism" ie Keysian economics vs. Neoliberal/Laisez Faire economics led the way for a person to reap the full benefits of his work? Think of it like this "We The People" are the demand side in an economy when you pay people enough to survive and maybe grow instead of debt financing everything it's been proven that productivity goes up.

  • @aguyfromTennessee Nazi Germany was Socialist in name only. It was Fascist. Read about the Night of the Long Knives. Also the USSR was a totalitarian communist regime. Might as well been fascist. Also after they had a market revolution the Jews were kicked out to give cheap labor to Israel. I'm from Tennessee too. Read up. Thiese typical Glenn Beck talking points won't cut it anymore.

  • @HoGraz Excuse me sir, but if you mean to debate, then do not be condescending. Thanks.

Heritage Dictionary (2006), socialism is “any of various or systems of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that plans and controls the economy."

  • @aguyfromTennessee Alright fair enough. Thing about Socliasm is that it has a populist apeal and was made counter to authority. Whether or not the various forms that sprang out of it were true to the ideal or pure is a different question. There's also different forms of it. Besides that just things like a mixed economy vs. a free market where people can tweak markets to reap their own benefit are more something we should focus on. China actually is more free market than us.

  • @HoGraz They're an authoritarian state and have no social net at all. We're a diferent country. We have a different history. We also have a constitution which until Bush Cheaney '00 protected us from things like the Patriot Act and we had Habeas Corpus. Germany has had Universal Healthcare sicne the 1890's and they're pulling the rest of Europe out of the gutter. They're also one of the best and soundest economies.

  • @HoGraz I just read an article about how Newt Gingrich wants to get kids in poor schools from ages 9-14 to be janitors to cut costs. That's STILL Child Labor which the labor movement in this country helped abolish. They're using this whole 'socialist agenda' bull to make peope unaware ofthe neoliberal agenda that they're trying to use to out muscle free market countires like China taht have less legislation to go through and get the ease of Central Planning some of the econonmy.

  • @HoGraz I don't understand why so many people are complaining about Newt's suggestion, it's not like kids will be forced to work, or do something that will harm them or whatever. That's the last thing one should have against Newt. But i guess people don't have anything better to say than to complain about anything. I just saw him at the Jewish debate doing like everyone else present, except Ron Paul who was not invited, they were all licking Jewish ass for some reason or other.
