  • Well written and well spoken Linda. You are an inspiration to me and a great role model for music education.

Linda is a warm, caring person. Love those eyes at the end. Still a beautiful woman at 64.

  • Agree about the Robin Quivers thing, Robin's & the audience's knee-jerk reaction to Linda's concern for women and women of color (in this case Mexican singer Selena) was just wrong. Linda's always spoken her mind and introduced me to so many brilliant songwriters like Warren Zevon, Elvis Costello, Mark Goldenberg, Randy Newman, I could go on. But she does deserve to be in the snobby, ridiculous Hall of Fame but probably doesn't really care at this point.

  • Good for you, Linda!!!

  • Beautiful written and spoken, Linda. Another reason why this woman should be in the Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame.

  • crazy is hot.

  • and to think Robin Quivers could only put her down with contempt on Jay Leno when Linda said she thought Robin was being used by that sleazy frat boy child's program (I speak of Mr. Stern of course). Oh yes.... I realize his fans boo'd Linda and one cld say it was none of her business. But she was sincere in her feelings of one woman to another.

  • that was excellent. she is such an accomplished person and great advocate for music education. there is noone in popular music who has authentically interpreted as many genres as she has. thank you linda

  • You go girl!!

  • I wish I hadn't seen this....I wouldn't even recognize her....

  • thanks you linda for speaking on a very worthy cause

  • Linda is awesome. Always has been, always will be. Love those eyes!

  • baby i loooove this woman. she sings like nobody's business!

  • @cjm608 UR SO DAMM RIGHT MY DEAR!!!!

  • Wonderful job. I can't believe anyone would take music education out of the schools. Music is such a huge part of my family and has helped us so much in many ways...my guitarist dad recovering from motorcycle accident (head trauma)...daughter ADHD...helps to concentrate in school and me? sanity. lol.

  • very impressive and obviously heartfelt. i think she made a difference.

  • Yeah, but can you sing?

  • Linda is very beautiful and smart.

  • Blue Bayou rocked, Linda has great pipes, I mainly like the singer/songwriters like JT, but you can't deny the great Linda Ronstadt, amazing....and yes, You're, NOT Your, oh well, whatcha gonna do?

  • Linda Ronstadt is truly a national treasure!

  • I love her. She's a gem.

  • What an informed Artist. I am so glad Celebrity did not take over this artist's Credibilty.

She should be appointed head of the National Education for the Arts...

Imagine her connections and credibility since she is so beloved. Jane Alexander, actress did a great job, but Linda Ronstadt can be a great head of NEA.

  • Agree, Dietrich, Linda would make a great director of the National Endowment for the Arts - NEA.

  • I agree. Linda would be unstoppable in that role.

  • YOU GO LINDA ! Good Job

  • This is why she is hands down my favorite artist.

  • She should be singing into that mic.....your no good, your no good, your no good, baby your no good!!!!!

  • Try YOU'RE no good, not YOUR no good! Poor grammar! YOU'RE is the contraction of YOU and ARE. YOUR is an adjective like YOUR POOR ENGLISH.

  • I just had to write back to you about your comment. As a retired legal secretary and former English major, it drives me BONKERS when I see grammar like this and I completely agree with you. Unfortunately, no one READS anymore; they just text and shorten words and the world has been so dumbed down!

  • Well said Linda! I'm so deeply happy that such efforts to promote musical education are being taken into consideration!!!!! I do agree that a majority of the mainstream music isn't all that good and it becomes frustrating to have to listen to it everywhere... radio stations have to mix it up a bit more. Bravo Linda and thanks again!!!!! ARTS MATTER!

  • she is a mentor and someone to deeply admire... bravo

  • lovely smart talented lady
