By the way, it's not in 1080p... good thing this monitor's resolution is only 1024x768, so I wouldn't see the difference on it between 720 and 1080 anyway. Just saying...
That is fucking unreal, can't wait till the new generation of consoles come out with dual graphics cards and shit so they can produce things like this
@DeloreandudeTommy I have to disagree on that. Computer hardware is SLOWLY coming to a standstill, it is getting harder to make things small and have the ability to cool such powerful hardware. In twenty years time, I think these graphics will still look okay.
@mattyovers1 Possibly, but I've read in a book (I think it was called "level up" by Scott Rogers) that we're actually not exactly reaching the maximum possible technological output, but rather "smoothing out the edges" of the current technology, and that in a while (maybe ~10-20 years) we'll start having massive increases in processing power, like the change from 4-bit to 8-bit, or the change from 2D to 3D gaming consoles (by that I mean SNES to N64, not 2DHDTVs to 3DTVs).
@mattyovers1 that's a big claim. I look at how far gaming has come since 1991 and am straight up amazed. I think improvements will be smaller, but big leaps will still be made, especially with new infinite detail technology.
@ConstableBuzzKill That was the point because your social skills are atrocious, most people do not come here to cause arguments and abuse other people.
lol what are you on? You clearly do not understand the means or what the hell dynamic lighting is do you? If you did then you would of never posted that comment. This has to be the most dumbest comment I have seen on youtube. I am sure others will agree with me.
You really need to do some research before you post a comment. It doesn't matter how it renders the lighting it is still dynamic. Now tell me, when the sun moves does all the shadows and texture light mappings update with it real-time? Yes they do, so that is DYNAMIC! If it was static the whole maps lighting would have to be pre-rendered before finalizing the map to play on, just like Unreal Engine.
-7 thumbs for saying that the dust lighting effects look very realistic and cartoonish?
You would never get shadows in the sky that are so sharp no matter how much dust there was.
That small ammount of dust would not be able to block the sun light reflecting from the tones of athmosphere behind it so much that it would turn black.
Look at the clouds the sun punches through them even at an angel and we see them as white unless they are hundrends of feet thick.
naah just money. with a core i7 extreme, 12 gigs of ram, vista 64, and 3 gtx 295 you can run this more than perfectly! sadly i dont have any of this lol!
50 million times better then Crysis 2.

4 dynamic light sources with forward rendering? S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has thousands of them on a single level! With deferred rendering, of course...

Even the simplest 3d game has dynamic lighting nowadays. Doubly so for Crysis.
richcoolerearth 2 years ago
Which ones, for example?
GordonFreeMANness 2 years ago
@richcoolerearth Many of them just use lightmaps. There are few games which feature unified dynamic lighting and shadowing.

how did you record in 1080p?
Zutons58 2 years ago
It is better to record in 720p
This is what the Youtube player is made for, 720p not 1080p or 1080i. Hoppe this helps

Actuallyyyyy YouTube supports 1080p now ;)

Youtube support 1080p, but does not show it back in 1080p. They reccomend 720p, because thats what they show for sure.

What the fuck what are the fucking shadows in the sky?
Is it supose to be shadow from the dust that is flying around?
It looks dreamy but it is so fucking unreal.
RandomDirectors 2 years ago
it's the rays going through the trees, the dust is making them visible.

I think he used the rendering process to capture each frame and then make it into a video. I'm not sure though
