  • They're so beautiful in flight. They're more impressive than the Blue Angels. :)

  • lol, The reason I love these little birds so much. They're the jet fighters of the avian world.

Sorry to take so long to get to your comment, thanks for watching!

  • Ha ha, hilarious music!

Why hummers don't grow little fins to reveal their true selves is beyond me though, just do it to get it out of the way and be done with it already :P

  • lol! Little sharks aren't they! I love the music too, when I serched for something to use, this was the one! Glad yt didn't mute it.

    Thanks for watching.:)

I'm actually singing the 'O Fortuna' chorus in November :)

  • Me too, I can't get it out of my head! They keep playing it over and over on the ballgame we're watching right now.lol

  • Sherry, this was great. I am lucky if I get one hummingbird a year at my feeder so this was a real treat to see.

  • What a lovely, sweet thing for a dad to do, makes me miss my dad. He used to do things like that for me when I was a little girl. Dad's are so special.:)

  • out west in portland saw one hibranating under an eave

  • They fly south, to Mexico and S. America in the winter. They will be leaving here soon, the reason for the feeding frenzy. They have to be fit to fly.

Thanks for watching, and I hope the little guy you saw is doing ok.:)

  • yeah most of the time, but they can go in torpor, I used to watch them fly from the nest just past the choke cherries to the feeder when I lived just south of coos bay

  • Hi again!

I've seen them do that too, I guess it depends on how cold it gets as to whether or not they'll fly further south. I'm sure some probably stay the winter, down closer to the coast. They're great little birds! I enjoy them. Usually don't see them after late Oct. until the spring.

    Take care.:)
