Nice!!!!, I have a question, for you, o for anyone that can tell me their opinion, ¿what is the difference on the keyboard action between the fender Rhodes mark 1 and the Rhodes Mark V ?, I Have a Mark 1 Stage 88, and i feel the keys of Mark 1 are a little hard to play, I like to try the mark V, The mark V has the keys more sweet or flexibles? what do you prefer between mark 1 o mark V? Sorry about my poor english. I´m waiting for your answers, Thanks!
Improvements to the piano's action included a return to the use of wooden keys in the Mark V, as well as a modification to the dampers that resulted in a more bell-like tone. Using high-speed photography, the engineers had discovered that the original damper design caused an initial snap-back when the key was struck, "kissing" the tine lightly and dampening overtones before coming to a resting position. The new dampers behaved correctly when depressed, allowing the tines to ring more freely.
P.S. Using the same high -speed photography analysis, the engineers also made improvements to the strike action of the hammers, with the result being that the Mark Vs are the most responsive to the touch of all the models. The new Mark VIIs from the newly reborn Rhodes company are said to be based on these improvements plus additional ones engineered by the new company.
@extsource, I believe you have a Fender Rhodes (with three knobs instead of the 2 sliders... am I right?) which I don't believe is considered a Mark 1 (I could be wrong; I haven' done my Rhodes homework in a while). These are notorious for the stiff keys issue (I fractured a finger on my old one). If you search the web, I believe there is a modification to improve this, or find a technician. From what I remember these piano's are more sought than the later suitcase Mark 1's & 2's for some reason
What is the name of this song?

@shopunit I agree. But, I still like my 1976 stage and my 1977 suitcase...both Rhodes Mk 1's better.
