  • I'm going to see this guy live in 3 weeks, can't wait!!! :D

  • @aquariussouldier saw him yesterday first time live, it was awsome.

  • Joe needs to do a rendition of Since I've Been Loving You

  • @GrandRiffAuto73

totally agree, his version would be really nice.

  • guitar wank... Does this mean anything at all ????

  • Joe is one of today's very best IMHO -- so underrated. Wish he'd get back to his raw stuff. Gritty blues rock and this type of playing. Just my preference.

  • @adaptiveagile Definitely one of todays best without a dought but i like the stuff he is doin' no but no matter wich he is still Great

  • Why he was left out of '' It might get loud'' it beyond me.

  • @The66north Because he isn't particularly innovative in his guitar playing. Yes, he his brilliant, but the reason they chose the guitarists that they did is because they have all been a pretty big influence on the music world in different ways.

  • @cerealboxcar i'm not too sure about jack white, but then again i'm not an avid listener of the white stripes. but the edge for sure was appropriate to be included. sure, he's no blues shredder, but my god, the things that man can do with a delay pedal.

  • Sometimes I wonder if he is '' Bucket Head'' the guy is amazing.

  • @The66north how could he possibly be buckethead they have different body heights, shapes, weights, etc Buckethead is Brian Carroll..

  • A little Frampton to some Led Zep...Joe Rocks! Thanks for the video

  • good guitar player...but this whole mash up left me confused.....total chaos doesn't rock

  • what does this guy do ... should be called "highjack joe"...lol

  • Why can't those jerks in the background shut up and just listen instead of laugh at him? I mean, really.... That's not fair.

  • @midnightapalooza i dont think they're laughing at him, i think they're impressed

    but its still annoying

  • This is just sick...and Joe sounds so great with the Les

  • bcc is great

    .

  • Yowza! Wow! What else is there to say?

  • joe plays, peter frampton!! sick

  • joe your good but that sucks leave the led alone

  • Put your hand over your mouth, use your ears and listen to some raw talent.Bonamassa is one of the best gigging guitarists around. So when your old and look back on the finer musicians of your day-Joe Bonamassa will be on your list the way Page is on it today.Don't criticise it ,make the most of it !!!

  • He is good I like his work with BCC but Jimmy is a rock GOD and I don't see rock gods around these days.

  • Wow, ths guy can almost copy almost anyone!

  • @alanpetsche no he cant jimmy page would kick his ass anyday...

if jimmy page covered one of this guys songs he would do better than original

  • @123ferreiratheboss Hahaha. Joe is terrific and humble. Jimmy... not so much. More so now than before though.

  • @alanpetsche Jimmy did some pretty good copying in his day and kept the royalties. ;-)

  • @crosscatch Touche'

  • 21 people clearly have no respect for Joe Bonamassa who in my opinion surpasses Joe Satriani

  • LOL WMV

  • *yawn*

  • the best bluesman alive

  • it's so wonderful to see a 'young' cat playing pagey, - even though mr, Joe is technically advanced, - it still sounds raw, -- awesome !! - i love the electric guitar, - it certainly is the new violin !?!!

  • Zeppelin ?

  • bonamassa is doing anything he wants to. Hendrix and beyond. Santana , Clapton, name it.... this guy is a genious. who, among any guitar player, anywhere on the planet, ever,,,,, has been invited to play with BB King !!!!

At 11 years old ??????? !!!!!! Then opened for him in multiple shows at that age !!! NOBODY !!!!! Keep Ur ears on this guy !!!!!!

  • this dude kiked ass at age 12!!

  • @tRrinity1 you have an equal good guitarist as you, hallowed by the name "vihn bui"

  • so many fuckin' critics-- This kid is fuckin' Good man.-Probably better than most of the people crticizing him.

  • Thank Heaven for precious Joe. And thank YOU, caseydc78, for this incredible upload. I can-not BELIEVE the sound quality you've captured here. May the human race be graced by the gifts and the joy of Joe Bonamassa for many generations to come.

  • Hello there music appreciator.

-Do bluesy bands likes Zeppelin, Floyd, Joplin, Doors, Hendrix, and The Who give you chills? Are you physically attracted to seeking truth in music? Well I am formally inviting you to take a listen to my channel, Using your open mind take the time to hear my tunes.. your subscribtion to my channel will help me show the world my music. Much Love.

  • @AbsoluteZeroMusic eh, fell asleep trying to listen to your 15-minute song. And it wasn't the length that knocked me out.

  • @AbsoluteZeroMusic eh, fell asleep trying to listen to your 15 minute song. And it wasn't the length that knocked me out.

  • The background drunks kill this one......really bad video..... see the guy live and give an educated opinion......

  • Joe, like the late Gary Moore, is a brillinat guitarists.

But... despite his perfect musicianship leaves me cold as he lacks the soul of other great blues players. BB KIng get's more out of 2 notes than anyone.

  • @Creativeo88! Shut your cum dumpster!!!

  • @Creativeo88 Yeah, shredding blues is so boring. Reminds me of SRV.

  • This guy is no Jimmy Page. Period. I'll take Page any day to this crap.

  • Hmm.. he is obviously a fine guitarist but I certainly don't understand all the hype. He has his own Gibson Les Paul signature line, too. Joe is good but doesn't give me a guitar boner. Kind of boring.

  • @komusicbrian agreed, he's too stuck on replicating the "essence of blues" instead of evolving his sound and the future blues style, he's just a guy whose good playing the oldies. still enjoy his shit thought, lol he'll outplay me any day

  • love this but disappointingly low quality

  • I happen to like Joe, his guitar styles and his vocals. People that just seem to find ways to cut any artist down...not so much.

  • Hello there music appreciator.

-Do bands like Zeppelin, Floyd, The Doors, Hendrix and the Who give you chills? Are you physically attracted to seeking truth in music? Well I am formally inviting you to take a listen to my channel, relax and let you ears fully enjoy my sound. I would love it if you took the time, they wont leave you disapointed. And in case if you end up liking it, your subscribtion to my channel will help me show the world my music. Much Love.

  • I've seen Joe many times and he is damned good, but ..................... Gary Moore is still the man for great guitar playing, phenomenal feel and passion .... or should I say .... was the man. Alas, he is no more. RIP

  • @dezertfox4323 "that guy from gov't mule" Is Warren Haynes who's also with the ABB, solo and The Dead...he's pretty amazing

  • soundsbadass

  • He's a good player, but... there IS something lacking. That's why many people question his merit.

  • Anybody can say what a good guitarist they are... When you can fill the places that Joe can fill, come on back and then we might listen to you.

  • This is pretty annoying I guess. I LOVE me some blues and I LOVE me some guitar but this is a little sickening. lil bit

  • We all must admit it; Joe Bonamassa is fabulous. As if there need be any real debate on this 'non-issue.') What bugs me is that the debates rage on on YouTube, I think comment sections are put to better use as a discussion of various merits of the artists depicted. Comparisons are odious. Does anyone here realize the personal strength it takes to survive on their art in this present world, long enough to "rise to the top? Just the "durability" factor is astonishing in the music environment.

  • Saw Joe in Melbourne. He is as great as all the greats. Amazing show. A true master.

  • when I first heard of this guy, they kept throwing around the "next SRV" tag a bit too much, so I avoided his music, but I've since become a huge fan, Joe is a brilliant, passionate musician in his own right and just keeps getting better...and I love his choices in songs to cover.

  • Saw him play in Perth last night. Yep! He's the one!

  • not one of yas mentioned Rory Gallagher who Hendrix acknowleged as his peer

its not a cometition dickwits itz a bout personal developed expression on multiple levels and styles ya bored critical l i t t l e people .And salutations to those that recognize diversity in musical expression.

  • @australian1957 you are right, and i could have mansioned rory and i have not mansioned a lot more, cause most of the people are ignorant to theme but it is as you say a personal journey through music. for us to enjoy. i personaly have a lot musicians on my list, all in different styles and i play guitar myself, and i can't stop learning from them, i play with different technics of the styles given to me. i don't have a number one player if i had i scaled the others to low. thumb up to you

  • that crap about beimg better than or a future legend, king of this or that. bullshit,

he"joe" is good real good, but a legend he is not only between the ears of a compeditive shitface. there are hundreds of good players like srv, clapton, peter green, page, hendrix, de lucia even seasick steve. you can't compare artist each one has it's own soul.and only the comerce put labels on art. fuck them. enjoy music how the artist gives it to you, to learn and enjoy. but most of you are ignorant to it

  • This video is a classical "reading" for every young guitar player

  • 1:33 song of Peter Frampton

  • Anybody know what he's doing at 2:40?

  • So Killer! Joe Rules!!! \m/

  • love the double note picking.J.B never lets ya down.

  • I can't see how tRrinity1 can even hold a guitar when he's got a box of tissues in one hand and a tube of K-Y jelly in the other.........

  • Sounds like he's just messing about- undoubtedly talented and skilled. Anyone who can imitate like that is good and must have invested a lot of time to it..

  • Is this the double rainbow guy filming?

  • the dudes such a bad ass.. listen to the blue heavy if you get the chance. pretty bluesy stuff.

  • He's playing in my town, needless to say tickets are bought.

  • bahahaha!! sorry about that!!

  • I cant believe how incredibly talented he is. I saw him last year and Black Country Communion is coming in June..So excited..

  • Ho ho Joe is cool

  • HEY HEY Boys are you listening to something different to me

  • other than the recording itself, and the mic being too close to the three loud pricks in the first row, it was o.k. by me, oh yeah

  • This is totally how I play when I'm stoned except I fuck up a lot more.

  • I'm not doubting his skills as a guitar player, but on 'It Might get Loud In here', Page asks of himself 'am I just another guitar player, or can I write too'? So I ask you

Did Bonamassa write the pieces he is playing? I rest my case.

  • @R0ckers2R0ckers Yes he does....

  • @R0ckers2R0ckers just so you know jimmy page didnt write dazed and confused and niether did led zeppelin

  • @fixtures3242 Well are you going to tell everyone it was you or who it was? Because on the sheet music I saw it says 'Words and Music Jimmy Page'

  • @R0ckers2R0ckers

It was written by Jake Holmes in "67 who opened for the Yardbirds. They later covered the song pretty much as written. Then the lyrics were reworked for the Zep version. Lawsuit filed in June 2010 and is still pending.

  • @R0ckers2R0ckers Page took the title, came up with a new set of lyrics, and changed enough of the melody to escape a plagiarism lawsuit from Jake Holmes the man who originally wrote it

  • Love Joe, have most of his stuff. BUT can anybody really do Zeppelin?

  • Man everytime I see this guy play I am beyond impressed.

  • fuck yeah, he had to throw a little peter frampton in there too, i love this guy!

  • Joe when are you coming to Dublin again:-))))

  • Man this guy reminds me of the 60s....he is soooooooo goood...

  • My children are going to here about this guy

  • nah...you heard Robin Trower

  • Frampton at 1:30,"Do you feel like i do" intro

  • This trinity guy is just another YouTube troll. Don't waste your time by getting pissed and making that sick SOB happy...

  • @tRrinity1

If you can do it, why don't you???

Until you do, shut up and listen to a true guitar legend play......

  • Playing with enthusiasm no matter what your technical skill level = good.

Playing technically perfect with no emotion = boring.

Playing with technical skill AND emotion? That = STAR. Joe knows what the hell is doing. Anybody who thinks otherwise has probably never seen him play live. I am a blues-rock guitar player. Joe is one of my favorites right up there with Walter Trout. Don't like Joe's music here? There are a few million other videos on here - watch them!

  • @PaulKJHarris his new album (dustbowl ) is number one in the pre order charts on play.com at the moment ,

and if i could buy shares in this man i would invest my house on him to be the new clap/hendrix/srv

and make a lot of money ,this is the new messiah in the guitar world

but this is fucking poo everyone has a shit day and thinks they can make stuff up and people will like it

    but this is rank

  • I heard Frampton....

  • Thanks for taking time to post this talent Casey

  • Yeah alright ! That's right in the spirit of things , Jason Bonham , Yeah!

  • Joe You Rock!!!!!!!!

  • sounds like morse & johnson

  • @tRrinity1 sheople lol thats not nice to refer to yourself as a shitty person, even tho more than likely its probably true.

  • @tRrinity1 your a peice of shit

  • @tRrinity1 Nobody gives a fuck about your guitar playing skills. If you do not have anything nice to say about the man who, by the way is probably a future blues legend, shut the fuck up. Idiot

  • @hinicstevan yea i agree joe will be a blues legend, hes unreal and anyone to say anything about any guitar player is insecure of there own skill, play what you like and have fun and stop crying when someone else plays better than you, use it to motivate you to become a better player~

  • @hinicstevan Ever heard Gary Moore play ? He is stunning

  • Thumbs down ,I know all about if u don't have anything good 2 say and all that...but this isn't some dive in east bum f*ck Egypt. I'm ready 2 flag this as inapropriate ,he's a cheap imatation of himself ,hey @ 8 or 9 it was somethin a little different..but now.... well..I've wasted enough time on this swill..I'm out

  • @tRrinity1 HA!!! YOU WISH!

  • @tRrinity1 There's more to playing blues & indeed playing guitar in general than just putting your fingers in the right place, you need to work on getting the right kind of touch to make it sound authentic & musical. Not just learn the scale for it.

Secondly, most people really don't care that much about guitar playing in & of itself. Much i suspect in the same way you probably wouldn't care for listening to highly technical piano or violin playing if it wasn't a recognizable song or melody.

  • @tRrinity1 Yeah thats probably how you get your own signature Les Paul, by sucking right? Idiot.

  • @denji20 if you don't think that he is one of the best guitarists living today than you have no idea what talent is..

  • @Onebellyring1 Clearly you have never heard of sarcasm, big failure of reading comprehension skills you have, and its then not than.

  • @tRrinity1 you really dont get it mate its a lot harder then it looks and its not just putting your fingers in the right places but how fast you can move you fuck wit why would you even be watching video if you dont like him dont you have a life you loser i hope you die cunt if you could play a 10th of what he can play you be good you cum guzzling whore you probably dont have any friends if you do there probably fuckin wierdo's like you fuckin cock suckin peice of shit.

  • @tRrinity1 arsehole

  • Sounds like hes practicing Eric Johnson/Frampton/Iron Man in front of an audience, lol.

  • Just saw Joe last week...for ANYONE to say hes not among the greats (and dont bore me with clapton and page..please!!) is insane. Hes every BIT the guitarist that Ritchie Blackmore is..and maybe even more. The kid is ONLY 33!

  • @TonyM717 yeah man capton bores me to be fair my fav guitarists are more simple players .. well simple in the sense that thyre not overly technical ... ( comeing from the guy at college doin a diploma in music .. lol ) but yeah white stripes , the black keys , john frusciante and elliott smoth ( seriously his way of playin is melodicly beautifull ) but yeah joe is one hell of a player.

  • One of the greats! Up there with Kenny Wayne Rogers as Clapton/Page/Hendrix followers//next to equals!

  • I saw him perform in Haifa, Israel a few weeks ago, he also played Dazed and confused, and man; I think it was even better. I remember he just went mad with the solo.

  • 'Forget all about that macho shit, and learn how to play a guitar" Yeahh I love it !

  • Sounds like... Think Think, Where have I heard this before? I know! Now I remember! Sounds like everybody else! Yawn... Boring! Check Out Wolf Mail, Now that Cat plays like he means it!

  • @Thriplebuttix Ya, afraid not. This guy sounds like himself and only himself...Wolf mail alright...check it out for the sake of argument

  • this is really fantastic guitar work and i'm so glad to see this kind of talent getting public recognition and praise. but where are the "jimmy pages" and the "jimi hendrixes" of today? where are the beatles and the stones and the floyds of our era?

    kurt cobain? pfff

  • @OceanderTethyseus right here, by the looks of it - Jimmy page and SRV may be gone, but here is our own great guitarist - as for the beatles; well, they were sort of a one time thing, and as for Floyd; the "new rock" of our time is metal, which isn't really all that. still, whatever floats your boat

  • @17Hongo

every beatles album and each of the 3 true hendrix albums were artistic works for the ages.

this dude is a great guitarist, but it's nowhere near the artistic or historical significance of "dark side of the moon" or "led zeppelin iv".

it's apples and oranges. this is not going to spawn a social movement. maybe the problem is with the audiences of today.

  • how is that Dazed and Confused? i don't hear anything from Dazed and Confused being played there.

i heard a short passage from Frampton's "Do You Feel like I Do", though.

  • @OceanderTethyseus well at 2:55 he startee doing the shit page did with a bow, with his figer...& at 3:55 you obviously can hear the dazed & confused harmonics..@ 4:42-6:33 he plays shit straight from dazed & confused. so how you even made that comment.. i don't really know.. you must not really listen to music fully. & where you picked up frampton from i dunno.

  • @tremold2043

he plays Frampton at 1:32. i guess that's when i got fed up that the title said "zep" and he wasn't playing zep.

and then right after i posted my comment, he started playing zep.

  • @tremold2043 Lets get this straight right now~he may be tapping & sliding his fingers on the strings with the same idea & even some of the same sound as Page with the bow,but it AIN'T Page with the bow! Remember who originally did it (Page) & much better. Page wasn't the first to run a bow across the strings & he admits that, but he certainly did it the best & popularized the idea. So this guy is just a copycat trying to make a name for himself. No one would listen to this if it werent for Page.

  • @dokokai right off i'm just gonna say you're a dumbass. no shit it's not page with a bow.. i never said it was. & i know who origionally did it. i also know page wasn't the first to do it. & to call joe a compycat is just fucking ignorant. joe's a fan of led zep, that's why he throws this in there. it's called influence dipshit. there's not a musician alive that doesn't do something that sounds like something that someone else did. led zep did plenty of cover song & shit like that.

  • @tremold2043 Yes Page & Zeppelin did cover songs...BUT they did them in their own style & a lot different than the original artist. That's taking an influence & putting your own spin on it. This is just a direct rip from Page & an unimaginative one at that. Who needs THIS? You are the dumbass for listening & following this like a little disciple who can't think for himself. By a guitar & do your own thing instead of worshipping & kissing Bonamassa's ass like he's so great.

  • @tremold2043 Page was my biggest influence in playing the guitar & I certainly did my share of covering Zeppelin songs until I built up enough of a repertoire & skill level to develop my own style of playing. That's what it's all about. I'm never going to play like Page & I'm not going to try because only HE can. But his influence is in my playing & is only a part of my overall style.

  • @dokokai ok so just before you said it sounds nothing like page & he can't ever do it like him & all that, but now you're saying it sounds just like page.. hmm... sounds like you just have somethin against bonamassa & you are just pullin shit out your ass you make him sound bad. oh & by the way i have guitars, & i do my own thing. & as for your diciple comment.. i listen to plenty of different bands so.yea i'm done with this "conversation" you're far too stupid for me..

  • @tremold2043 Apparently YOU are stupid. Nowhere in any of my posts did I say he sounded nothing like Page. Go back & read them. I said he sounded like & copied Page in my comments but it served no purpose because we don't someone else doing what Page did. If YOU CAN'T READ clearly then just shut up!!! Retard!!

  • @dokokai dude you can talk shit on joe all you want but he opened for B.B. King at 12 years old lol, experts say he could be better than clapton, he's still young and hasn't even remotely approached his potential, Jimmy is just one of his influences just like all the british blues like Beck and Jimmy etc...

  • @tterrag01 He's already better than Clapton from what I can see. Get him up near SRV and Hendrix and he'll have it made. Excellent stuff from one so young!! Good luck to him!

  • @tremold2043 I see no reason to need a guy doing this when it's been done by the great Jimmy Page. Anything done after a guy has created it is just unnecessary.

  • What is he playing at the beginning of this segment?? It's soulful and fantastic...

  • thanks for helping us spread the word my friends. Please go to Joe's Official Channel and subscribe!

  • Boring as Crap, crowd think so too.. wouldn't walk to far to hear & se this nobody play lead guitar. As Jimmy Page said . " I could play better by plucking the Pubes on my Ball Bag"

  • @Thriplebuttix You are a dumbf**k, This is his version!!!!!!! You are the boring one!!!! And you can't spell!!!!!

  • @Thriplebuttix you don't deserve to lick bonamassa'a ball bag man

  • American players of this quality have to go to the UK to be recognised. And to be listened to. I cite both Hendrix and Walter Trout as supporting evidence.

  • jamie marshall vanleo haggar is better

  • Wow - that vibrato on the unison bends is exactly like Jimmy Page. Reminds me of the first time I watched the Song Remains the Same video and revelled in the wondrous extended version of Dazed and Confused. Awesome.

  • interesting how use his hand to imporvise the bow section of dazed

  • Dude's for real, what else is there to say!

  • That was some brilliant playing...I think Jimmy would be proud.

  • a few looks over the comments and heres what ive seen: "great guitarist. i hear eric johnson in him," "i hear some frampton," etc. but the point is, bonamassa is wonderful cause he takes the old guitarists, learns about expression and how to make beautiful music, and combines that with the speed of shred, and the sheer power plus the above that is led zeppelin, and makes beautiful music. thanks for the post =)

  • People are hollerin' - cuz they're having fun! Anyone remember fun? Very nice reading. Love the Toad (that would be Cream kiddies) power chords at the end btw, Joe! Thanks for that.

  • Definitely hear an Eric Johnson influence in his picking and a lot of his runs. Great player.

  • I heard a little frampton in there :)

  • Awesome!!

  • wow jimmy page and peter frampton's do you feel like we do! i really underrateed joe this vid changed my mind

  • He's some player, stunning. But why are there so many people talking? If you don't wanna listen then don't go.

  • I've often wondered what Derek Trucks and Joe Bonamassa think of each other; they travel the same circuts and both are blues inspired although Joe is mostly inspired by the British blues artists and Trucks, by the Delta blues players.

This performance is really wild! Loving it.

  • Joe is one of the greatest guitarists ever! And everyone knows you should scream at concerts, thats why the amps get cranked to 11.

  • I don't understand what all the concern is about the crowd making noise, yelling, screaming, etc. I mean, have you ever been to a concert? This is what you do! When an artist performs well it makes you want to scream and shout!

If everyone sat there quietly and did a golf clap at the end, I'd say Joe would have failed big time. Happily he didn't fail -- he got the crowd going crazy! Rock on!

  • Wonderfull music, very well interpreted, I mean Joes's version is very respectfull of the Masters.. I used to play the bass part in my (dead) group. Painfull...

What a pity that the audience would be there just to be there....

  • omg bravo

  • I love you Joe!!!
