I suck at piano, however i got one at home, figured i should try to learn just this song without any basics.. In a couple of hours ive learned to memorize both hands intro and second part, but i could never in a million years see myself do both hands together, is that normal or should i learn basic songs first? So I got both hands down, I can play the lead guitar and the rhytm guitar, but I can't play them together. Only one at a time. I put the two together in Logic Pro, and it sounds great, but do you have any tips for playing both hands at the same time?

@GamerforceUnleashed Hi! Well done on learning them both. I know what you mean, I struggled so much with putting them together..

Try to play the left hand rythmn guitar over and over, and kindof not think about it, just let it go. Gradually add the right hand (lead guitar), and play slowly. It's really hard because they're completely different, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy! Just try a little every day, don't give up :)

Thanks, this is very helpful, don't care what everyone else says about your technique, it looks good to me, and I used to play the piano all of the time when i was younger, and for everyone else, to actually hit the black keys and keep the song going, this is the way to do it. so great job.

i HAD the same problem to , what i did was i played everysingle note togeter. you get it??well heres the simple thing play the left hand and when yur done playingthe intropart what you do is slowy play the right hand along. it worked for me.

Not true at all! I play both and they are just as difficult in there own right. I mean playing arpeggios on piano is a breeze, but on guitar its a whole art, as well as bends and vibrato.

Piano is cool too, theres really no reason to put down other instruments.

hey the way i am doing it now is key by key so i am not playing two patterns i am playing one like for instance, i am nto learning the left alone then the right alone then putting them together rather i am learning them at the same time as they go the song is way too hard to do the other way .

Yes, I struggled alot with the different rythmns too. It's just to concentrate on getting your mind around it - I found it best to practise the left hand so much that I could kinda play it automatically, then sloowly add the right hand. Good luck!

You guys, this song is obviously not an easy song. There is a question of timing (as in when to play the right hand WHILE the left hand is playing) and for the rewind-play guy/girl/thing - WHATEVER YOU ARE - go learn something YOUR level.
