  • Iranians have the record for nearly 10 years... They beat their own records!!!

  • @bignoah97 Antonio Krastev would disagree.

  • @cobrastatus I don't think he would, Salimi snatched 217 in iran. With less juice than he was on. Sure, those tournaments don't count these days, but they would have done back then. Same for Rezazadeh, his c&j at 263.5kg is perhaps the most impressive performance i have ever seen by an athlete, it looked like a routine lift, perfectly executed. If he just hadnt wasted his second lift at the weight, the c&j record would have been 270kg +. No country produces better OL lifters than iran.

  • iranians are friggin strong

  • WOW!

Behdad was 400lbs when he did this!

    Hes GIANT!

  • noone can beat this guy at least 4-5 years,,,

  • Dude He's not even wearing a belt or knee wraps!

    GREAT lift

  • He's going to be the guy to snatch over 216 and break Antonios record. hes only 22. Pat Mendes cant stand up to this guy.

  • @DMxNemesis I cant believe that you are even mentioning Pat Mendes in the same sentence who is a Amateur who has not achieved anything on any level, just in his local college etc... Pat Mendes has just about snatched 180 or so who the fuck is Pat Mendes?? some redneck yank

  • @panjabiwarrior Well we know he has the potential to snatch 207, he did it at age 20. He was probably on the juice when he did, thats probably why he hasn't been able to achieve that number again in competitions.

  • @DMxNemesis Competition & your local gyms are 2 different things, yes i have seen the video of 207kg but have you seen his competition snatch its around 180, Salimi has a world record at 22 i don't really get your point, many people have gym & untested records but in front of people & in competition they shit their load just like Mendes he is nothing, His all steroids & nothing else

  • @panjabiwarrior I know there's a big difference between what you do in the gym and in competition hence why i said he was probably on the juice when that was taken. He probably wouldn't have passed a test. Looking back, im not really sure why i brought up his name, probably because its who I seen on youtube more than any1 else in the +105

  • @DMxNemesis Ok fair enough, but that guy is not even in the same league as any of these guys let alone Salimi, he would not make the Commonwealth games his got no chance at the Olympics,i don't think you are from a Weightlifting back ground, many other videos on here to watch & enjoy

  • @DMxNemesis lmao..no body GIVES A SHIT ON HOW MUCH U LIFT IN THE GYM. WORLD RECORDS ARE SET IN WEIGHTLIFTING GYMS EVERYDAY, but what matters is what you do on the platform. to be fair, behdad has snatched more in competition then mendes has clean and jerked officially. his coach really thinks he can win any medals, hes dreaming in another world. they should just stick to showing off on youtube, where all the trolls and ass lickers follow them anyways

  • @DMxNemesis why is pat mendes being considered a "rival"? its like trying to pin a good college sprinter (10.25 pr in 100 m) against usain, come on....lets be real.

  • @AdmiralSeadog I dont think the guy knows anything about Weightlifting, his just seen a few Videos recently on youtube thats all, thats why his comparing Salimi with Mendes who ever he is

  • @panjabiwarrior Well Mendes is 20 currently, if he continues to improve he could possibly one day reach Hamlabad's Level (the other iranian in the +105kg). Salimi's level... probably not, considering Salimi's got a long career ahead of him to smash more records.

Curiously, Salimi's also at the age where Reza got his first gold at the 2000 olympics, and he's got a bigger snatch but a smaller C&J. Krastev's record is definitely going down soon.

  • @BentropySS Dude he would not even Qualify for anything Shane Haman was a Yank lifter who was Slaughtered at the Olympics & he was a Big strong guy, your another one who knows nothing, it does not work like that, Whats Mendis best in Competition??

  • @panjabiwarrior Chill bro, I was saying he could EVENTUALLY reach Hamlabad's level IF he continues to improve, maybe when he's in his mid twenties or so, not anytime soon. I agree his current competition lifts aren't much.

Besides, you need good competition to push you hard. Why would Mendes lift a huge competition lift if he didn't need to in order to win? The USA being crap at weightlifting is also a reason why his comp lifts aren't good.

  • @BentropySS I am Chilled bro, its just people coming up with same poor argument & mentioning someone who has not Qualified for anything at all accept for his Local College competitions wtf!! im sure if he can do something he would 180kg is in competition is nothing, its not about age or how good you can be i have known many lifters who one would think would be on the Olympic Podium but they could not even Qualify for the Commonwealth games,Peace

  • @panjabiwarrior Go to texas they are better lifters pal, look at matfield brian shaw,

    watch?v=xdhOdJ_NVao

shankle he has done 405 pounds

  • @Jimmyretired Brian Shaw is nothing,Zawikas beat him on the Squat/Dead lift & Military press

  • @panjabiwarrior AND, it's worth noting that Salimi's best competition lifts when he was 20yrs old (Mendes' age) were 195/228 at the World Juniors. Better than Mendes definitely, but also FAR off his current 214/250 (and his 217/256 in Iran). Quite a lot of progress in 2 years.

Bottom line: Mendes won't touch Salimi, but saying he's crap may be somewhat premature given his age. He could improve.

  • This guy has most definitely become one of my favorites (if not favorite). So full of power, even this WR didn''t seem like it took any effort whatsoever. Absolutely incredible.

  • @Byznovat1 great lifter indeed. However, he needs to break into 260 in the clean and jerk to be unbeatable. I am aware he did 217, so he should shift his attention to the c&j decipline.464 total would have won him the gold in 2008, but a bronze in 2000, so he is not yet invensible now.

  • Kurlovich 215---Krastev 216---Sypko 216.5---this guy did 217 when? Sure Kurlovich would have made a 220 if the bar had been loaded to 220 but it was not. This 214 shows both feet entirely off the floor momentarily. Great athleticism. Easier than Chigishev's 211. Yeah, also Zacharevich could've done 215 except it was loaded to 210. Opinions don't equal facts but are acceptable if stated as opinions.

  • Incredible lift. I'm curious about that first little lift (the pull before his yell that only came up about 2 inches). Couldn't particularly anal judges deem it a no-lift due to that? (Obviously they didn't-it's just a hypothetical question.)

  • @EndlersaurusRex The bar needs to pass the knees in ordner to be a no-lift. Luckily, he stopped pulling early enogh.

  • @arpussupra Its nothing to do with Luck he Intentionally does that to get him self going he wont pull that far up pass his knees

  • @panjabiwarrior I haven't seen him lifting before but that's very interesting. Thanks for info! You can alway learn.

  • @arpussupra He came on the seen just after Beijing Olympics 2008 before then he won the Juniors & since 2009 he has been Winning every thing,Next year Olympics should be good.
