  • how about flaxseed oil?

  • Hmm, tried it a year or two ago. The only thing that worked for me to achieve healthy looking skin was accutane, vegan diet, and all vegetable essential oil soaps with the occasional use of Cetaphil(anti-bacterial).

  • hey !!!!!can they really be toxiic in cooking i cooked them in a soup and stuff

  • I LOVE this woman. She's beautiful. Her accent is heart melting; and... she's just wow.

  • shes beautiful

  • I guess there is stark striking beauty and then there is calm soft and skin deep...

  • Gorgeous.

  • Ok I just think god blessed u with good looks and nice smooth skin and flax had very little to do with it but if it can help me look like u I'm sold :0)

  • Im in love!!!!

  • fro example.. liya bekele, gelila assefa. lola love, sarah nuru are soo butifull.. y is gelila bekele fussed ova?.. can you please explain?

  • They are natural beauties and i love the charities they support with their celebrity.Lola love is all plastic, she isn't the" ethio' pride beauty".

Liya(IMG),Gelila(Ford),Yordanos Teshager(Elite),Gate Haile(Elite) are ethiopians supermodels and Yasmin Warsame,Uba Hassan,Kadra,Waris,Ayaan Elmi are somalians, they all work a lot and are the best ambassadors of East Africa people!

  • im ethiopia.. and i not sayin she not preety.. but campared to other ethiopian and african girl gelila isnt very konjo(preety).. most ethiopian wemon are gour.. and to me she average.. but is good to have a sis repin.. love u!!

  • My father is from Addis and my mother from Asmara,i respect all ethiopians from all the world, but i can't stand ethiopian people that allways criticise " Liya Kebede is average" or "Gelila has nothing special" or "Kadra is not even nice"!!! I mean look at this girls, they work hard to sign a contract;Liya spent 1 year in Paris and all agencies refuses to give her a chance,Gelila moved to New York when she was 15 years old.n Rome italians didn't appreciate ethiopians beauties.

  • she looks like kiera knightley.

  • yeah she does know that i look at her

  • how does she look like kiera knightly

  • their facial features are similar

  • True. A black Kiera Knightley. Beautiful"! :)

Btw, flax seeds are VERY good. I know that as a vegetarian. It has omega3 which is an important oil!

  • do you take the pills or do you just eat flatseeds?

  • ofcourse gelila, your ethiopian parent(s) probably made you drink telba (flax seed powder mixed with water) thats why you have glowing skin : )

  • I love her name! :)

  • you are so pretty im acctually jealous

  • i put a teaspoon of ground flax in my morning smoothie, you don't see it, you don't taste it and it's reeeaaallly good for you...along with a healthy diet and regular external skin care : )

  • I add flax meal to my Weetabix in the morning and flax seeds to my sandwich and raisins. Love the flax!

  • @despseekingsusan

ima get sum of this nd start putting it in my smoothies!!!..

  • u are very pretty

  • Such a sweetheart

  • It's better to buy the seeds grounded for better digestion(In my opinion)

  • I'm drinking it now. Flax seeds with water. It's claiming that in 90 days you'll have clearer skin, it boosts your metabolism, and cleans your system.

  • Hi, how do you do it? do you get flax seed powder and mix it with water?or do you something different?. What brand did you buy the flx seed from?. How have you been doing with your skin, any improvements?. Thanks for your advice

  • I bought it at a store. It's under $3 for a whole bag filled with them and they come crushed! It says "Nopalina" on it.

I stopped drinking it with water b/c it tastes horrible! I added it on yogurt and it was amazing! or with juice. I just started it so I haven't seen results yet but it makes you go to the bathroom, lol.

  • other africans are prettier too, just sayin'

  • ashams22- u right,. a lot of ppl think their the only africans that r pretty thats y i made that comment

  • I think all black women are beautiful. I hate how they divide us and say only Africans are beautiful.

  • I meant to thummbs up sorry (:

  • does this mean you can't put flaxseed bread in the toaster???????

  • Omg, you are beautiful...

And your skin colour is absolutely gorgeous.

  • Sooo pretty, gorgeous Ethiopian girl!!!

  • minew Tershehin betaserewu

  • gorgeous!

  • is this the same as flax seed oil

  • I take a spoon full with water! Gives skin a natural glow :) love it!

  • Isn't that what Barry Bonds used to hit all those home runs [sarcasm].

    She's gorgeous.

    I need an Ethiopian wife.

  • lolll.

  • Doesn't everyone?!

  • omg... she's soooo amazingly pretty!!!

  • At the very end....I love Gelila's smile.

  • Another helpful tip - apply a flaxseed mask to conditon your skin. It's very simple. Add a bit of water to flax seeds. Enough water to moisten. Let it set until the seeds swell and start to gel. Pour the mixture in a small jar and refrigerate up to a week. Apply the flaxseed mask to your face avoiding the eye area. Relax for about 10 minutes. Splash your face with warm water to remove. You'll feel like a Gelila looks!! Try it!!

  • OMG shes so GAWJUSSSSSS

  • Man, if flaxseed could make me look like her....I'd live on it and no I'm not ugly she's just so damn beautiful!!!!!

  • This model is sooo beautiful. Thanks for the info.

  • Yep nice tip. I switch up from flax seed oil, omega 3, or evening primrose oil...& lots of water to keep my skin looking nice. I live in Colorado...very dry climate...and you can't survive here without oil & water as a major part of your diet.

  • thank you gorgeous lady

  • You said heating it is toxic? I make flaxseed gel by boiling the seeds so shouls i not do thihs?? Please let me know because i use this gel as a natural alternative to the commercial ones and i don't want to continue if it is bad! Anyone with info can respond, thanks :)

  • As a hair gel, fine. She's saying not to eat it cooked.

  • Oh ok. Is there anywhere i can look on the net to find out that info anyway because i have been hearing different things from different people and i just want to be on the safe side. I stopped using it because i was worried, but i would like to make it again as it works quite well! Thanks!!

  • You could always buy the flaxseed milled (ground up) already but i heard when they are already milled up they begin to lose their oils and such. If you really wanna get ya face and body looking good make sure you drink lots of water and get some acai berry puree. That stuff really works very well. I will be getting mine of off amazon thunder website and instead of the puree I will be get the acai powder.

  • Well, I just saw a recipe on youtube for making flaxseed gel for your hair. It is made by boiling the flaxseeds. Is this dangerous to put on your hair?

  • I have been using flaxseed gel for quite some time. Someone here told me as a gel it is fine, but not to heat it up to eat it.

  • i think hair would be fine, but ingesting would be toxic.

  • fish oil pills ie. omega three pills would be on par if not better than this...also: she is suggesting eating the whole husk and in order to get the fat inside these seeds instead of crapping them out: they have to be ground up before consumption..otherwise they will just be passed through and you wont get the benefit of eating them

  • great tips! thanks!

  • All you do is put them in some cold cereal and chew them up. Simple.

  • Adorable

  • Do you put the flax seeds on your skin or do you eat it? :P Sorry I really have no idea

  • Put them on your skin, then eat them. In this order.

  • Okey thank you

  • lol, I think that was a sarcasm. Simply eat the seeds or drink a tablespoon of the oil. Capsules are also available

  • You need to eat Ground Flax Seeds to get the nutrients. You can buy ground Flax Seed at stores like Whole Foods. Or, you can buy Whole Flax Seeds and grind them yourself with something like a coffee grinder. Easy to eat them when you sprinkle on yoghurt, cereal, salads, applesauce, things like that. There are also ways to use Whole Flax Seeds in haircare. For instance, you can make a hair gel out of it. Some recipes on on Youtube.

  • Beautiful.

What she said about flax seeds is true.

  • she's real pretty

  • Flax Seeds makes ur skin glow. I put ground flax seeds with my oatmeal or add it to organic yogurt. I try to put in my food twice a day. I think everyone should put it in their daily meals. It's that good!

  • African beauty

  • we love ford models

  • does baking flax seed in cookies count as turning them toxic?? if so, i def ate toxic cookies lol (tasted horrible)

  • lol ur funny

  • she is my favorite ford model, next to chanel iman

  • If you eat hot cereals, add flax either to the cooking of it or add afterwards. Easiest way to consume.

  • ur gorgeous!

  • How much Flax Seed is recommended each day?

  • Health experts recommend an intake of 2 to 4 tablespoons per day. Please note, however, that flaxseed is high in fiber—you should generally start with about 1/2 to 1 tsp per day, and gradually add more until you reach the recommended amount. Give yourself about a month to get to the recommended amount per day. When adding fiber to one's diet, it is important to drink an adequate amount of fluid—about eight glasses of water per day.

  • Do I have to go to a special market to get the Flax Seeds?

  • you could probably just buy it at the whole foods store. or trader joe's, or any of those other health-conscious stores. i doubt it woud be somewhere like costco, though.

  • Flax Seeds are popping up everywhere these days. You could prolly find them in your local grocer....

  • Ethiopian beauty.

  • Ok if you want beautiful skin do as follows... Sesame seeds, sunflowers seeds, flax seeds and walnuts. Grind them and eat them, maybe eat them with some honey. There is no need to cook them in any way. If you eat the above seeds and nuts you will have flawless skin and wonderful hair.

  • Raw Carrot juice is better for your skin. Also drink loose Dragon Well Green tea and Yerba Mate. And eat lots of cucumbers.

  • Raw carrot juice is greta for your eyes, but sunflower seeds are number one for skin. Sunflower seeds have more vitamin E than any other substance I have found.

  • I love non-salted Sunflower seeds. They taste great.

  • In what quantity would you recommend to eat them?

Does it take a long time to notice the benefits?

    Thanks for the tips!!!

  • Sesame seeds, sunflowers seeds, flax seeds and walnuts. Crush the above in a coffee grinder and drink with pressed orange juice. It will take a few weeks for the benefits to be seen. Oh and cut out man amde suagrs as they are bad for you.

  • Thank you!!! How convenient I live in Florida and I have 5 orange trees in my back yard.....

Yes, I know about artificial sweeteners and stuff, I use honey and organic sugar.

  • Put them in a protein shake.

  • she is very pretty. her hair and skin is flawless.

  • I've heard about this. And she is beautiful.

  • she's fuckin flawlessly gorgeous.

  • i love this girl look at her she is simple natural and even her cloth too cute

  • This is as dizzy as they came . On idea

  • flax seed makes you shiit like crazy.

  • sure does

  • lol try flax seed & olive oil you will shit like CRAZY!

But i like shitting its relaxing....

  • definatly

  • LOL, Come on now is that neccessay???? Good grief.

  • dam thatts funny

  • Its good that warned viewers not to heat flax seeds. Funny thing is I was just about to do so...

  • Nothing wrong with heating flex seeds. Its used to make muffins and breads. She has no idea what the heck shes talking about.

  • It is.. anything rich in omega can change into toxin when exposed to heat. Search your google, man

  • Yep you are right, oils turn rancid on heating and rancid oils are carcinogenic. But she means heating them on their own ...they will be exposed to more heat that way

  • It is toxic at high heat. Being in a muffin or bread is a lot different then frying food with it

  • yeahh that's true.. in my country eritrea and ethiopia we are very natural...that's why we are so cut..

  • LOL! Yes, Ethiopians (and most other East Africans like Somalians and Kenyans) are among some of the most beautiful people I've ever seen. I feel blessed, b/c I am often mistaken for being Ethiopian (especially by other Ethiopians). So I guess I will definitely take that as a compliment!

  • lol ! yes u have to take it like a compliment u're right! but are where are u from?? from ethiopia, eritrea, kenya or...??

  • I'm Black American, with some Caribbean ancestry. Most Black Americans are mixed with White and Native American, and most Caribbeans are mixed with Native American, Asian and White (along with their African Ancestry). I am often told that I don't look "Black American," and am mostly mistaken for East African (as I said above), East Indian, or Caribbean (West Indian). Most people are good/nice, so I just let them know I'm Black American!

  • ahh okok yes its true that some mixed with carrebean or some latina looks like eritrean or ethiopian with them hair... me too some people tell me that i look like hatian , brasil, dominican, colombiana or puerto rico..ahah but i told them that i'm not

  • We are not too far off because we are after all apart of the African Diaspra.

  • It don't matter if your mixed with this or that, we are still all colored people in the eyes of white folks. And white folk don't treat you no different.

  • what?

  • I am Black American also and I am often mistaken for Ethiopian or East African by East Africans. It's very interesting because I have always wanted to visit Ehtiopian especially the stone churches. I read that they do not admit women though......But I would just have to dress as a man and sneek in.....LOL

  • They are Rock churches not stone.

  • Yes they are called Stone Churches.

  • She's a very naturally beautiful woman. Whether or not she uses this product (flax seeds), they are a very important product to use for good health and nutrition.

  • PART 2

Maybe sh'e be fat but still have a pretty face. Just remember, she's still a young girl. I know black women typically hold their age better then white women. That's not racial, just an observation from a video photog who's worked with plenty of women that have never used the product they're endorsing. My point... how do we know if the product works when a the person selling it isn't old enough to experience the aging process? She's in her prime!

  • i kind of agree ... but diet is important to healthy skin and maybe she is right.

  • NUTRITION is important. People her age won't show the results of years of problems brought on by the sun, drugs, drinking & smoking. Even great nutrition won't diminish the effects brought on by sun damage or psoriasis of the liver. Those usually don't manifest until middle age. Green tea & fax seeds won't help erase spider veins & melanoma. My point? Coconut oil & rose water are just excuses to put a pretty face in front of the camera. Get nutrition facts from dietitians.

  • lmao, ok, you're right. O.o

is that what you wanted to read? :/

  • shes not fat at all

  • Pretty? Yes. Good advice? Could be.

I "love" how young, beautiful women in their prime, working with image consultants (profession make up, lighting directors & photogs), act like they have years of experience with the item they're promoting. How could they? Most aren't 25 yet. Look at this girl. She was born with beautiful skin. She could probably eat junk food & she'd still be beautiful.

  • she is pretty where is she from?

  • Ethiopia.

  • cool. me too

  • black women are the most beautiful women on planet earth!

    BLACK PRIDE!!! whoo hoo!

  • lol....mkay?.....right.

  • she looks so sweet!! i love her

  • Flax seed oil (Barleans) Is the best!! I will never be without it! It takes away the bloat that you have after eating foods also!!DO NOT COOK WITH IT!! I put the oil under my tongue and allow it to be absorbed into my body and then I swallow it! I feel great!! Ive been doing this for about 2 months!

  • I never heard you can't cook with it?! Is this true?

  • I have been taking flax seed oil for about 2 weeks, and a skin feel really soft. Now I'm using milled and oil flax seed. ;)

  • Great job.

It is even better to grind whole seed in coffee grinder..

    peace

  • what a pretty name! ....Gelila

  • thats ethiopian name.

  • I am into organic foods and herbal products so I will look into it.

  • does anybody apply flaxseed oil directly to the skin? anybody have any ideas for homemade lotions that are based on the latest peer-reviewed science to increase skin functionality and luster and reduce acne? for example, we now know that it is bad to apply vitamin e directly to the skin, but aloe vera is actually good and so is honey... so anybody have any ideas for recipes?

  • You look&sound very kind. I'm going to try flaxseed oil. ^_^

  • True about the Flax Seed. I drink chocolate soymilk with Flax Oil in it. It's yummy and seriously, my skin was way softer in just a couple of days!

  • i think im in love with you

  • I loved her accent!

  • hi gelila konjo nesh, tamrelesh :) thanx for the tip

  • Thanks for the tip on not heating. I eat them in shakes:)

  • I love her accent!!!

  • pretty girl..... I love her!!!!!!!!!

  • Sounded really hawt when she said the word "bag". I eat ground flax seed everyday, I assume she grinds hers, too. I believe it still has value as insoluble fiber when eaten whole seed intact.

  • You have to eat the ground flax to get any benifit, the human stomache can not digest the husk of the flax seed so you get nothing out of eating it.Except for the fact that it may get stuck in your intestines.

  • She is the cutest thing ever

  • they also say that if you put flax seed oil in muffins, it helps with killing breast cancer cells, does it work, I don't know, but they say it does.

  • etheopean girls are wowowowowow

  • if i can look like her im buying stock in a flax seed factory lol you go girl!!

  • Ugh, Ethiopian girls are so gorgeous! I'm jealous lol.

  • your accent is so cute and i love the hair

  • the best stuff ever

  • u have to grind the flaxseeds thought o get the full nutritional benefit.u can't eat them whole.

  • gosh she is soo beautiful

  • she might be the most adorable girl in the world.

  • She's alright!! I do like the accent though!!

  • her accent reminds me of rihanna
