Well, the video uploader decided to name it "Planet of Agony", and as it is that would be the name of the video then... Is it an original "Dead Can Dance" music video? 'Cause if it is, why not uploading it under the proper title, karmaninja69? i would think that would only be proper... But if it's not an original- you gotta make your own video then...
Humans lived in relative balance with each other and our environment until we slipped into agriculture a mere 10K years ago. The current disaster started there. The population crisis did not even manifest until the Industrial Revolution, only 200 years ago! World war is not a function of human nature, it is a function of "modern nature" - the result of technology and the State. Both must be dismantled. One solution is to simply withdraw our energies from the Machine.
Absolutely correct !! :-) Another question is; how did it happen so fast, the evolution of the technology, the last 30-40 years ?? How is it possible ??
Well, we use technology to create "better" more complex technology, so it develops exponentially. A fear that many people have is that we are heading toward the "singularity" - total domination by technology. For more detail, read John Zerzan and Derrick Jensen.
i do not disagree with anyone that beleives otherwise this is simply my dark and realistic view on what we are.
and if war is all we know then maybe we are undeserving of the remaining paradise we have around us , maybe we are simply a mistake..........an elderly women was stabbed to death in broad daylight.....people all around and no one came to help , for what reason was she killed...no reason....maybe ignorance truly is bliss...you decide.
it is only from the ashes that we rise and realize our mistakes if we as a whole wanted the bloodshed to stop we would have built our civilization upon peace instead of war but we did not , its is somthing we must live with and accept.
if we all laid down our arms there would still be violence...one single seed is all it would take and from there the cycle shall continue.
Peace cannot it exist simply because there has to be a balance , to understand war and violence you have to see the world and the people for what they are.
violence is not genetic it is our nature , its there because it's there its as natural as breathing.. for the people to acomplish peace they must experience a total disaster of war before they realize that we are one alike and must not let others decide our fate , for it is ours and ours alone
The Second World War was a war against fascism. The Nazis were fascist, Japan was fascist and Italy was fascist . Still fascism has not gone away. Today wealth and power is i the hands of a few. The future is now and it is terrifying. As one, regardless of color, creed, nationality or race, we must stand together with one heart and fight for our liberty against all forms of fascism, including objectification of self forced upon us by our society. With one heart we stand united and invincible.
The world does not care; why should it. We have to care, or else lose what we are, and that is everything. Where are you coming from; this is bullshit. Fuck you..
I am sorry; The world does not care, and I understand your anger. We have to care. If we do not know one else will. You are right to feel angry. I can not blame you for that. Please excuse my words; I do not mean them, but join with you; the fucking world does not care, and what are we to do with our tears; certainly not turn against each other. With love I screem with you.
Sure, there are greater causes than peace. But it's unlikely such a cause would ever convince the politicians of today to fight for it. Instead, today, we only fight for things like revenge and boosting politicians' approval ratings. WWII was probably the last "righteous war", for a variety of reasons.
I wouldn't oppose a war to liberate North Korea. But it's not gonna happen. Especially since we're too busy with 2 questionable wars already.
It is my opinion that unless you've been to war or have served in a military that your opinion on the matter of going too war doesn't count. I've been to war. Is it a terrible thing? Yes, of course. Any sane person would tell you that. However wars will always come and sadly sometimes they are a necessary evil to rid a greater evil. A shame people can't see that. The other shame is I didn't have this tune on my iPod when I was on patrol in Iraq. At least I had Host of Seraphim and Aion :)
What if you're one of the millions of Iraqi refugees created by the invasion? They never had any say on whether or not their country had to go to war. Yet they have to bear the consequences of the decision for the rest of their lives. You're going to say they didn't have a stake in it?
Technically being a refugee makes you a part of the war so they do have say in it. However I remember talking to our interpreter about something. It went like every other Iraqi Army soldier should be killed, the entire Iraqi police, and one in every three civilian men should be killed. When you do that then the terrorism will come to a near halt. Will many good people die? Yes. But it would be for the good of the country. This was a local telling us this. This is how these people think sadly.
You said "unless you've been to war or have served in a military that your opinion on the matter of going too war doesn't count". Yet civilians have as much at stake in war and peace. An Iraqi civilian whose existence depends on the stability of the state in your view would have no say on war on her own home turf because she's not a veteran, doesn't know any better and her opinion "doesn't count". It is HER country, but any foreign invader knows best.

Well we've got time if we won't get killed by own fault. After all our civilisation is very young, or even nothing comparing to time. So i think we will find some way to escape.
i find it fascinating that an entire country, many, too many of them, would fight a violent invader on the very land that their ancestors once invaded themselves.
history lined with cycles of hypocrisy that i indeed believe can be eliminated from circling 'round & begnning anew.
we're running out of time, it has been stated through the ages.
the end has been near since the beginning of mankind's war against its imagined worst enemy, its war against the realities of nature's great song.
Are you all pretending to be niave or just trying to out-posture each others "idealism"- nobody wants war- but defending ones self, home, and country is just and neccessary!
defense is a reaction of attack. so, if you need to defend yourself, it's already too late. reguardless of situation, you're then already in a violence pattern.
Defense is a reaction of attack... if there was no attack, would there be a need for defense ?
Violence is barbaric, a testimony of our most basic and primal instincts... where should we aim ? For an eternal violence pattern loop that will inevitably end in our own stupid destruction ?
Or toward peaceful evolution, where we care for each other in harmony and finally achieve some kind of balance on Mother Earth we're killing... ?
Yes, I agree: War is bad. Well done everyone for saying that, we all just collectively made the world a better place. Hugs all round - peace and love! <3
Wars are istigated by the leaders. All wars were a deliberate act, destroying the poor and helpless furthermore to have an excuse to clamp down on their rights of freedom. We all live in a cage
i think war is all a part of mans gradual awakening. we are slowly coming to realise that we are truly all one and all this animosity is just growing pains for our species. one day we will all realise that we are more the same than different and when that day comes, the world will know peace.
I'd love to agree with you, but war is part of what we are as a species. Basically chimpanzees with ideas above our station. As Einstein said "As long as there are men there will be wars". And I'd have to go with uncle Albert on this one.
All wars are about people expressing a disagreement, sometimes these disagreements span one or two countries as in Britain in the 1640s or across 50 nations as in the 1940s. Sometimes these disgreements can only be solved by blood being spilt, despite the outcome or merits of either parties arguements. To delay the disagreement can sometimes delay the war, as in Yugoslavia, or British India. Wars will only stop when people want to LIVE together on Earth, who know when that will be?
Bush and Cheney will burn in Hell for this illegal; immoral "war" against the Iraqis; they; along with their ultra right wing neo nazi cohorts are the scum of the earth.

we are living with a separated outlook that divides us in everything, and that division brings conflict and violence.

@earthling41 i agree. lets not get seperated then by politics, religion, vanity, class, status... oh my, long road.
epijdotorg 1 year ago
@epijdotorg Or a sudden realization of what we are, but that won't happen because our energy is being consumed by the disorder in this world.
A road implies time and distance, not only that but also a goal to achieve like peace or unity.
We react according to our conclusions, and have an idea on how it should be, which means we already know the problem and we try to solve it.
But the 'it' is us, we react to ourself.
